Is he? I thought a while back from what you posted we had some kind of historic giant, a New Moses leading us to the Paradigm Shift Promised Land. I am confused. Now he is a sinner. Well. This is a bit of a come down. But if he is a sinner maybe the Paradigm Shift is maybe not so hot and idea either? Maybe he might be messing up here as well?
2 Timothy 4: 2 Preach the word: be instant in season, out of season: reprove, entreat, rebuke in all patience and doctrine. 3 For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears: 4 And will indeed turn away their hearing from the truth, but will be turned unto fables. 5 But be thou vigilant, labour in all things, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill thy ministry. Be sober.
Then, why all the fuss about the Dubia? All he has to do is say this and everyone can go home happy. Instead, we hear that persistent adulterers, with no intention of not having adulterous sex with their adulterous partners, can go ahead and receive the Body of Christ. Instead, we hear that it would be a sin not to commit adultery, for the sake of the children. This amounts to a new Commandment: "Thou shalt commit adultery". If adulterous couples can carry on having sex and receiving the Sacraments, how is that not an effective endorsement of adultery? Christ told the adulterous woman to sin no more. Pope Francis is telling adulterers to go sin. Tell me how this does not contradict Christ's words that what God has joined together, let no man put asunder? You do realise that Christ was referring to the married couple, not an adulterous pairing? How is encouraging an adulterous couple to have sex with one another not a putting asunder of the original marriage of one or both? How are two adulterers having sex not betraying their original partners? You must realise that a case is required on your part, not just a mere assertion that my 'statement is untrue'. That is like Pope Francis' answer to Cardinal Mueller's request for an explanation why he fired three eminent child-abuse investigators from the CDF-'because I'm Pope', was the answer (it now looks like he might have had some very interesting reason for firing them).
I have been thinking about the St Gallens group. Really not much info about them. I believe George Soros is a Luciferian. I believe the St Gallens group is just a Soros group papered over by the catholic label. This is the masonic power within the church Our Lady has warned us against. Michael Voris should do an expose on this group but may fear for his life. Sadly PF is just a hack for them, the infiltration of evil within the RCC.
Cardinal Zen to Pope on China: 'You're Putting Wolves Before Your Flock,' Will 'Make a Massacre' By Michael W. Chapman | February 14, 2018 | 4:21 PM EST Cardinal Joseph Zen, Bishop Emeritus of Hong Kong. (YouTube) Cardinal Joseph Zen, who has defended the real, underground Catholic Church in Communist China for decades, said Pope Francis's plan to unify the real church with the government-run church -- the Catholic Patriotic Association (CPA) -- for diplomatic reasons, would result in "putting wolves" before "the flock" and would lead to a "massacre" of the faithful Catholics. The remarks of Cardinal Zen, 86, were reported in the Wall Street Journal on Feb. 14. In Communist China there are two Catholic churches: the real one, which went underground after the Marxist dictator Mao Zedong seized contol in 1949-50, and the government-run CPA, established in 1957 to lure the faithful away from the true church. As part of its plan, the CPA seized all the property of the Roman Catholic Church in China. It also appointed its own bishops, in violation of Church teaching. The CPA bishops do not profess loyalty to the Pope and the Magesterium, which means they are schismatic. Pope Francis. (YouTube/RomeReports.com) Further, neither the CPA bishops nor priests adhere to Catholic teaching on topics such as life, abortion, contraception, and euthanasia. As a result, they preach heresy. They are not Catholic. The Cardinal Kung Foundation states, "The Patriotic Association, although calling itself Catholic, is not Catholic because it is not in communion with the Pope, the successor of Peter." "None of the Vicars of Christ [Popes] for the last 60 years has ever recognized the Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association as a part of the Roman Catholic Universal Church," said the Foundation. Ad Feedback Nonetheless, Pope Francis wants to unify the underground church with the Communist-controlled CPA. As part of the deal, China is demanding that the Vatican accept, for now, seven of its CPA bishops. It has also demanded that two real bishops -- validly ordained and in union with Rome -- resign to make way for two CPA replacements. A "bishop" with the Catholic Patriotic Association in China. (YouTube) "They are appointing bad people to be shepherds of the flocks," Cardinal Zen told The Journal. "How can you do that?" "You're putting wolves before your flock, and they are going to make a massacre," he said. Cardinal Zen stressed that the Communist regime has never changed its policy and this policy is one of "total control of religion." In a statement on Feb. 14, Cardinal Zen said "the Communists want to enslave the Church" in China. Ceding authority to the CPA will lead to further persecution, he said, and is the equivalent of "rewarding traitors" and "castigating the faithful." For faithful Catholics, said the cardinal, "Our suffering at the creaton of a schismatic church by others [in Rome] may be inevitabe, but we cannot assist in its creation."
Chinese Catholics Call on Bishops Worldwide: Stop the Vatican Deal With Chinese Gov't By Michael W. Chapman | February 15, 2018 | 5:20 PM EST (YouTube/Free Catholics) (CNSNews.com) -- In an open letter to Catholic bishops throughout the world, a group of Chinese Catholic scholars, lawyers, and activists plead with the bishops to contact the Vatican and urge Pope Francis to not go forward with his plan to try to unite the underground Chinese church with the Communist-run Catholic Patriotic Association (CPA), which is schismatic and rejects some of the basic teachings of Catholicism. "We earnestly ask you, with the love of the people of God, appeal to the Holy See," reads the letter. "Please rethink the current agreement, and stop making an irreversible and regrettable mistake." Pope Francis reportedly is preparing to sign off on a deal with the Chinese government to supposedly improve diplomatic relations and allow Catholics to worship more freely in the Communist regime. The deal would require the Pope to accept seven bishops that were appointed not by him, but by the CPA, which is completely controlled by the government. Pope Francis (YouTube) These CPA bishops do not profess loyalty to the Pope and the Magesterium of the chuch. They also do not accept the church's teachings on such issues as right to life, abortion, contraception, and euthanasia. Ad Feedback "The seven illicitly ordained 'bishops' were not appointed by the Pope, and their moral integrity is questionable," reads the open letter. "They do not have the trust of the faithful, and have never repented publicly." "If they were to be recognized as legitimate, the faithful in Greater China would be plunged into confusion and pain, and schism would be created in the Church in China," reads the letter. (YouTube) A schism occurs when a small (or large) segment of the church splits off to form its own, separate identity. Martin Luther, for instance, sparked a schism, which created the Lutheran church. In England, King Henry VIII split with Rome, which started the Anglican church. In China, many Catholics fear that the Vatican deal will prompt the faithful Catholics, who have made up the underground church since 1940, to further distance themselves from the CPA. There will still be two churches, as there exists today, but the split could become hardened. And, ironically, the situation potentially would place the Pope on the side of the Communists. The faithful Catholics would face mroe persecution. Ad Feedback "The Communist Party in China, under the leadership of Xi Jinping, has repeatedly destroyed crosses and churches, and the Patriotic Association maintains its heavy-handed control over the Church," reads the open letter. "Religious persecution has never stopped." "Xi has also made it clear that the Party will strengthen its control over religions," states the letter. "So there is no possibility that the Church can enjoy more freedom. In addition, the Communist Party has a long history of breaking promises. We are worried that the agreement would not only fail to guarantee the limited freedom desired by the Church, but also damage the Church’s holiness, catholicity, and apostolicity, and deal a blow to the Church’s moral power. The Church would no longer be able to have the trust of people...." The letter continues, "We are deeply shocked and disappointed. With our love and allegiance to the Holy Mother Church, we hope you and the bishops conferences would pay attention to such development.... [W]e urge that any agreement must be grounded in the protection of religious freedom, and an end to religious persecution."
I had a similar thought the other day I thought that perhaps Pope Francis was being used Don’t get me wrong I believe he is a willing participant in these events in the RCC But it is an unholy alliance with those in Masonry I could be wrong but your post confirmed my thoughts I pray for him He is in a precarious position, it seems to me
The Little Chinese Girl-Martyr of the Holy Eucharist From the persecutions of ancient Rome to the Communist atrocities of the 20th century, the Church always had faithful sons and daughters who exhibited extraordinary courage and resolve in face of the most extremes of adversities. One little known story though no less edifying is that of a little Chinese girl-martyr at the time when China had just been run over by the Communists. Uncertain times When the Communists first came into town, the parish priest started to feel uneasy about his fate not knowing how the intruders would act. During each day that passed, he paid keen attention to every din or commotion that transpired outside the church as he knelt in prayer inside. He was on edge expecting to be executed at any moment. Just a day after the unwelcome band of soldiers arrived, someone paid him a visit. Thinking it was the police, he was struck with terror. Could this be his end? But contrary to his worst fears, the man at the door turned out to be cordial. As they conversed in Chinese, he was told to proceed with his daily routine. As they parted, his guest accepted a cigar, bowed and eventually left seemingly contented. Days, weeks and months passed without any untoward incident. He would run into soldiers in the streets but they would only look at him with a straight, cold face but not without a dose of curiosity. Once, he felt perturbed when a certain inspector dropped by to see him. Turning the tables One beautiful summer’s day, just when things seemed to be settling down, the dreadful gang of communists finally descended on the town to turn things upside-down. Four soldiers and the inspector unceremoniously barged into the priest’s school house. The inspector announced to the shocked schoolchildren that sweeping and drastic changes would be implemented from then on. In one fell swoop, the fearsome commander and his cohorts began tearing down the crucifix, holy pictures, blackboards and statues from the walls and laid them on the desks. In a stentorian voice, he barked orders at the terrified children to put the articles in a box and to take them to the toilet while he threatened them with his handgun. In spite of the harsh treatment, the children resisted but eventually complied reluctantly. An icon of resistance But deep back in the room, sat a little girl in her desk; unmoving, with hands folded, and lips tightly shut. As the inspector caught sight of her, he immediately rushed in her direction and shouted curses at her. Mad as hell, he threatened her, “Take this!” But the girl only looked down and hardly flinched thus sending the rest of the terrorized children to gawk with bated breath. Amidst the ghastly silence, a shot rang out shattering glass and driving the children into tears and screams. The violent disturbance attracted curious townsfolk to gather in front of the school. The inspector kept on shouting furiously. And yet the little girl remained silent, still frozen like a statue, a big tear rolling off her cheek. At the point of losing composure at the girl’s staunch yet quiet defiance, he turned his ire at the crowd and snapped, “Go find this girl’s father and bring the townspeople here in the church!” Desecration of the Hosts As the church filled with people, the little girl’s father was ushered in with hands bound behind his back and placed to the right of the communion rail. Immediately, the girl was forcefully shoved into the communion rail. The inspector spoke to the crowd and mocked the people’s belief in the Real Presence. And in a malicious and sarcastic tone, he announced that they were tricked into believing that God is present in the tabernacle. In fact, he told them he and his gang of soldiers would stamp on the Hosts with their boots to show nothing would happen. Then the soldiers rushed on to the tabernacle and forced it opened with their revolvers. The tense crowd watched in silent disbelief. The inspector seized the ciborium, took the lid off and scattered the Hosts on the sanctuary floor. Egging on his soldiers, he ordered them to go and step on the Hosts. And without hesitation they carried out the dastardly act. Not content with that, he taunted the crowd, “Do you still believe in those fairytales your priest told you?” Turning to the child’s father he asked him if he still believed. No sooner did the father say yes did the inspector order him to be hauled away. Dispersal A non-commissioned officer then entered the scene who spoke with the inspector. They reached an agreement and the inspector submitted to higher authority. The crowd was told to disperse leaving the little girl alone in the communion rail. The soldiers incarcerated the priest in the church’s coal bin where a small opening allowed him to see the area of the sanctuary where the Hosts lay strewn on the floor as well as the little girl who was leaning on the wall. A beautiful lady While peering through the opening, the priest saw a lovely young woman clad in beautiful garments enter and smile. As she hugged her, she said, "Poor child! Poor little one, what have these men done to you? Come with me. Will you?" The child broke into sobs and sought comfort in the woman’s arm and they left. Witnessing a marvel from his cell As time went by, the priest lost track of hours and days while imprisoned in the coal bin. He endured the stillness of the surroundings and at times he heard sounds he wasn’t used to. One morning, he heard the door open quietly. Through the little opening, the priest saw the little Chinese girl sneaking ever so carefully into the sanctuary, kneeling and bowing in homage. As she lowered her head, she took a desecrated Host with her tongue. She raised her head, folded her hands, closed her eyes and prayed in silence. Several moments later, she arose and departed. Every morning the priest witnessed the uplifting scene that became a source of comfort inside the dark and somber environs of his makeshift prison cell. There he eagerly waited the break of dawn expecting to see the sweet, enchanting, little girl receive and adore the Host. Though it occurred many times, he couldn’t recall how often times she came to practice the soul-stirring daily ritual. A Heroic Death But alas, the day of final reckoning arrived. As the little heroine went through her daily pious exercise one morning; knees bent, hands folded and absorbed in deep prayer, the church door behind her burst open. Tumultuous screams stirred the air and a shot rang out. As the priest hurriedly looked through his peephole, he saw the pallid little girl crawl agonizingly along the floor as she reached a Host to receive Holy Communion. When the soldier drew near to check on her, she tried in vain to pull herself up and to fold her hands. Instead she fell on her back and hit her head on the floor with a thud. The little Chinese girl-martyr lay dead motionless on the floor. For a moment, the soldier stood hesitant not knowing what to make of his deed and its fatal outcome. Finally, he turned around and stormed out of the church. Set free The moving yet harrowing scene left the priest in a state of shock. While he pondered on that painful experience, his prison door opened and the same soldier went in to announce that he was free to go. Without any hesitation, he scampered towards the sanctuary to see the lifeless little girl. As he knelt besides her, the soldier approached him and uttered, “Sir, if in every town there was such a little girl, no soldier would ever fight for the Communists!” Fortunately, the priest still had time to give the little martyr a decent burial. As he left the cemetery and walked along the road, a man approached and invited him into his car. He dropped him off at the border. Edifying example The story above moved Archbishop Fulton Sheen to make a vow to pray a holy hour every day in front of the Blessed Sacrament for the rest of his life.
I don't know if her name is known? Below are the references to the story! I hope this helps! The narrative is an adaptation of the English translation of an unnamed priest’s first hand account of the events that happened during the Communist takeover in China (presumably around 1949.) The story was extracted from a collection of beautiful Eucharistic stories and miracles compiled by Fr. Karl Maria Harrer and published originally in German (Die schönsten Eucharistischen Wunder.) China, the “underground” bishop: we will follow the Pope, because we trust the Lord Giuseppe Wei, authoritative voice of the “underground” Church of China, speaks, “I want to ask friends outside mainland China, including those from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan: “Please do not speak on our behalf. Do not insist on speaking for us. It is not you who can represent the underground Church in China” The “underground” bishop Giuseppe Wei while offering communion to a sick person Pubblicato il 16/02/2018 GIANNI VALENTE ROME With his community, Wei will follow the Pope and the Holy See, “regardless of how relations between China and the Vatican will end”. And from now on, he invites all the “friends” from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and other places around the world to set aside the “pretense to speak in our place, to speak on behalf of the underground Church”, because “in the current reality of the People’s Republic of China, no one can claim they represent the underground Church”. In the “media storm” of these recent days, fueled by political motivations attempting to relaunch the campaigns orchestrated by some groups in Hong Kong and in some sectors of the West which are opposing a possible turning point in relations between popular China and the Vatican, the words of Giuseppe Wei Jingyi, Catholic bishop of the diocese of Qiqihar, in the north-eastern province of Heilongjiang, deserve special attention. Because they come from an authoritative voice in China who is openly speaking out. Giuseppe Wei Jingyi, born in 1958 in Baoding, is one of the most important and respected figures of the so-called “underground” Catholic Church in China. However, even now the apparatus of the Chinese government does not recognize his episcopal ordination. At the age of 31, he was present as a young priest - with non-marginal duties - at the meeting held in November 1989 in the small village of Zhangerce, in the central-northern province of Shaanxi, with about twenty or so, “underground” bishops or their delegates, whose intention was to give life to a Chinese Episcopal Conference operating beyond the control of the government. Wei, a secretly consecrated bishop in June 1995, lived through three different periods of detention and experienced personal freedoms restriction of in the past, the longest of which, took place after the “secret assembly” in Zhangerce, and lasted for more than two years, from September 1990 to December 1992. That is also why, today, his words sound more eloquent and challenging than ever. Bishop Wei, there is great attention followed by strange initiatives regarding the present and future situation of the Catholic Church in China. Since the end of January, when the rumors about a possible development in relations between China and the Vatican began, there have been many reports, comments, analyses and hypotheses on this issue. According to the media, some are disappointed while others are excited about it. There are also those who speak on behalf of the “underground” community, and raise their voices claiming that they must defend it against injustice. They say that the underground Church in China is the “victim” of the Pope and the Roman Curia’s process of improving relations between the Chinese government and the Vatican. And how do you look at all this? I am a bishop of the underground community of the Catholic Church in China. I am grateful to those who are interested in us and have helped us in every possible way. But I also want to say to everyone that China is huge, that the condition of the Church varies from place to place, and this applies above all to the underground Church. Therefore, I wholeheartedly beg our friends outside of mainland China, including those from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and all the other continents, please not to speak on our behalf, do not insist on speaking in our place, do not speak on behalf of the clandestine Church. I ask you for it is not you who can represent the underground Church in China. Some want to present the “underground” ecclesial area as a worried or even hostile reality in the face a potential agreement between Beijing and the Holy See. Is this the case? In the present situation in the People’s Republic of China, no one can claim they represent the underground Church. If someone has received a request from a particular community or individual person to send messages on their behalf, ought to openly state that they are speaking on behalf of that particular community or person, and no one else. I myself do not want to be “represented” by someone else, without even being informed. And following what faith suggests to me, on my own behalf and on behalf of the community entrusted by God to my pastoral care, I want to solemnly declare: “regardless how the relations between China and the Vatican will go, we will wholly obey to the decision of the Pope and the Holy See, whatever it may be. And we will not question it either. What is this trust based on? Is it just out of respect for the decisions of ecclesiastical authority? When God called Abraham, the conditions around him were harsh and adverse. Abraham did not ask God to change things before he moved. The only thing Abraham had, was faith in God, in his God, who had called him. He entrusted himself to God without hesitation. When God called me, the seminaries in China had not yet been reopened. But God gave me His light. He showed me what the future of the Church in China could be. When I applied to enter the newly opened seminar, they told me that I had to take an admission exam. I prepared a presentation with this title, “If the end of a harsh winter has come, can spring ever be far away? And now? We must now look at the present time. The situation around us is not optimal, far from it, and that worries so many people. But even now our help comes from the Lord. It is He who created heaven and earth and the whole Universe. Our hope is all entrusted to the Lord. It is He the only One who will keep it. It is He who will not make us feel ashamed of ourselves. That is why Cardinal Parolin’s words, which I was able to read, have encouraged me greatly. What, did you find particularly comforting about those words? For a long time, we of the Church in China only knew that the Holy See and the People’s Republic of China were negotiating to overcome distances. But the negotiations were confidential, and we had no way of knowing what criteria were inspiring the dialogue. Also for this reason, much room was left for the voices of those who spread concern over a potential agreement. Parolin’s answers have confirmed to us that the theses of those who claim that an agreement will end up contradicting Catholic principles, are groundless. The Pope is not a politician. The Pope’s collaborators do not act according to political criteria. All their commitment is inspired and enlightened by faith. And faith also fuels the desire that all sheep return to unity in the same flock, under the same shepherd. This is the Pope’s task: to preserve communion in the Church. Are you also referring to illegitimate episcopal ordination? Among the 7 illegitimate bishops there are some excommunicated bishops, and some of them have done things that are not good. Someone may ask: are they still worthy and able to lead communities as bishops? My way of looking at things is this: we know that the Pope is a father, and the illegitimate bishops are like the prodigal son, they made mistakes and left home. When the son repents, and asks to return to his father, may there be any reason for the father to refuse forgiveness? On the contrary, the father had been waiting a long time for his return. There are those who say that one thing is mercy for the person, another is to return them to episcopal ministry. But if the Pope says that they can be bishops, then they can be bishops. Once they return home, they can live as part of the family. We must help, encourage, love each other and move forward together. All this makes me remember what Jesus says to the adulterous woman in the Gospel, “Woman, has no one condemned you?” “Then neither do I condemn you,”. “Go now and leave your life of sin”. And I also remember another phrase of Jesus, “Whoever is sinless should cast the first stone”. What happens if things change, if one of the parties fails to fulfil their commitments? You must always trust each other a little bit to reach an agreement. If there were not some mutual trust, there would not even be a chance to speak, and there would never be any agreement. The Holy See’s goal is the propagation of faith in Christ, while the Chinese government has other objectives. The Holy See is serious and has nothing to hide when speaking to national Governments. But China is also a great nation, one that can honor the agreements made. We Christians know that it is possible to trust people. And we trust above all in the Lord. It is He who leads all things. http://www.lastampa.it/2018/02/16/v...t-the-lord-VYWM8FZrxcmigX3ePHVOTI/pagina.html
As the Betrayal of Chinese Catholics Proceeds, This Is No Time for False Obedience by Christopher A. Ferrara February 14, 2018 No one has said it better than Helen Raleigh, an Asian-American commentator, writing inThe Federalist: “On this particular Ash Wednesday, millions of Catholic faithful in mainland China have an extra reason to pray for God’s mercy: their earthly leader, Pope Francis, has betrayed them.” And now the betrayal is about to be confirmed. Guo Xijin, 59, one of the two legitimate Catholic bishops of the “underground” Church in China that the Vatican has asked to step down in favor of illicitly consecrated puppet bishops of the communist-created Catholic Patriotic Association (CPA), has just declared that he will obey the order to abandon his flock. As reported by the New York Times: “Speaking in his first interview since news of the deal broke last month, Bishop Guo said that if he was presented with an verifiably authentic document from the Vatican, ‘then we must obey Rome’s decision.’” As part of this sellout of the Bride of Christ to communist gangsters, seven excommunicated CPA “bishops” will be recognized by Rome. As Raleigh notes with disgust: “Two of those seven men are alleged to have girlfriends and fathered children. Most importantly, all seven men put their loyalty to China’s communist government before their faith in God.” But, according to Bishop Guo, “we must obey.” In truth, the Bishop must not obey. For the Pope has no power to command what is immoral and destructive of the Church, and when a Pope attempts to do so he must be resisted. As Saint Robert Bellarmine, a Doctor of the Church, teaches: “Therefore, just as it is lawful to resist a Pontiff invading a body, so it is lawful to resist him invading souls or disturbing a state, and much more if he should endeavor to destroy the Church. I say that it is lawful to resist him, by not doing what he commands and by blocking him lest he should carry out his will… [De Controversiis: On the Roman Pontiff, trans. Ryan Grant (Mediatrix Press: 2015), Book II, Chapter 29, p. 303.]” As Pope Benedict XVI declared in his homily of May 7, 2005: “The Pope is not an absolute monarch whose thoughts and desires are law. On the contrary: the Pope’s ministry is a guarantee of obedience to Christ and to his Word.” An historical example of what Bishop Guo should do, one often cited by Father Gruner, is that of Bishop Robert Grosseteste (1175-1253), the medieval English prelate who stood up to numerous abuses of power committed by or on behalf of Pope Innocent IV, including Innocent’s demand that his youthful and utterly incompetent nephew be made a bishop. This was a comparatively minor affair compared with the betrayal now taking place in China, where Pope Francis is poised to demand, not that one of his relatives, but rather illicitly consecrated, communist-controlled puppets be installed as bishops in place of legitimate successors of the Apostles. But Grosseteste’s principled resistance is nonetheless illustrative of the just limits of papal power. As the Catholic Encyclopedia rightly observes, Bishop Grosseteste “never denied the pope’s authority as Vicar of Christ and Head of the Church. What he did maintain was that the power of the Holy See was ‘for edification and not for destruction’ [2 Cor. 10:8], that the commands of the pope could never transgress the limits laid down by the law of God, and that it was his duty, as bishop, to resist an order that was ‘for manifest destruction’. In such a case ‘out of filial reverence and obedience I disobey, resist, and rebel.’” What Francis is apparently about to order in China is precisely the “manifest destruction” of the visible Church in that nation and, most ironically, a manifest destruction of his own legitimate power over the Church there. As Raleigh puts it: “Pope Francis seems to have no problem subordinating his authority to a repressive communist government…. It’s clear that Pope Francis is no Pope John Paul II. While Pope John Paul II joined Margaret Thatcher and President Reagan to defeat Communism, Pope Francis is willing to capitulate to oppressive authoritarian regimes like Cuba and China in the name of ‘openness.’ By doing so, he only lends legitimacy and extends a lifeline to those regimes while failing to offer relief to the people oppressed under those regimes. How can a Catholic church under the leadership of Pope Francis still claim it’s the champion of the oppressed?” This is no time for false obedience. True obedience to the Pope, indeed the defense of his very office against encroachment by worldly powers, demands that the legitimate Catholic bishops of China just say ‘NO’ to the Vatican’s bargain with the devil. The plague of false obedience to unjust commands — or the false appearance of commands, such as the imaginary “banning” of the traditional Latin Mass by Paul VI — has led to the devastation of the Church by one ruinous novelty after another over the past fifty years. Now it is likely that the dictate “we must obey” — no matter what — will prevail in China as well, thus bringing us closer to the divine chastisement that increasingly seems to be the only way this madness will be brought to an end.
Thanks Mac! Now again, I don't know what to think! As Bishop Wei, is so humble and compliant to the authority of Our head, Pope Francis!, I was likening him to many great saints such as St Padre Pio, but now it seems he may be a sell out or even a whimp? God only knows! I pray every day for our poor, poor Church. Lord Have Mercy! God Bless you and David and everyone of us poor miserable souls who are left wondering!
Your sentiments regarding Bishop Wei were good and sound. You have to reflect on whether you want to believe in the academic and lawyer Ferrara who knows nothing about China, or the bishop on the ground in mainland China (not the privileged in Hong Kong!) The current situation with what Vatican is doing with regard to China is a very good example of what Cardinal Muller described recently. People are treating everything from an ideological standpoint. Worse, people are seeing what Pope Francis is doing so they assume it must be bad!
I see now, josephite, that you were referring to the Bishop mentioned in Ferrara's piece rather than the article I posted above. But look at the item I posted at http://motheofgod.com/threads/the-vatican-has-fallen.10058/page-254#post-200338 which again points to the false narrative being pushed out regarding what the Vatican is trying to do in China. For me, the Q & A session with Bishop Giuseppe Wei, above, is pretty convincing!
Obedience is quite simple for me. The 4th commandment of God is obedience to parents. Obedience is a commandment insofar as it is in compliance with truth. If a parent asks their child to go steal, is the child when over the age of reason not himself guilty of grave sin if he does as much? When a person goes into blind disobedience, one can themselves enter into grave sin. How many Catholics in Germany or Russia were obedient to their evil dictators out of obedience and killed the innocent? How many today are following Pope Francis ambiguous statements on co-habitation, adultery, sodomy etc.... and falling into grave sin?
Great example Fatima! For hundreds of years slavery was lawful and even the Gospel was used to defend it in our courts of law. This however, does not make it right as we all know. Because there is a higher law. God's law, and those that follow IT are His children.
