David ,as you can see the tide of opinion in the Church has turned very much against you. I do hope this might cause you and others to reflect. We are no longer a tiny minority who had the courage to speak out, we are now, very,very much the moral majority. Very, very much so and more so with each passing day. The next Pontiff I believe will very much confirm us in our views. Not that we need this, for the voice of our Conscience , the Holy Spirit in our hearts, has already confirmed us in our protests. The Church is the teacher of truth, but unfortunately it is no longer united to its unchanging truths handed on from Christ through his apostles. It is in large part the church of appeasement and compromise to the truths. It is a church of situation ethics and the fundamental option. It is breathing with only one lung today, but we know that it must be for while, but Jesus will not be mocked. His purification will reset his laws back into order within the Divine Will.
Fatima, Fr. Amorth was alive when this took place in 2014. This incident was discussed on a thread back at that time. When the Imam prayed for peace he basically prayed what any good Muslim would pray: that the whole world would come under the rule of Allah. Of course, that would require many jihads to succeed. In fairness to Pope Francis, Mario, Allah simply means God in Arabic. Some Eastern Catholics call God Allah. Weren't the Malaysians discussing making it illegal for anyone other than a Muslim to call God Allah? I don't do whether they ever made it the law of the land. The problem I see with the Imam's prayer is that the world is already under God's rule but mankind won't acknowledge that fact.
