Isn't it wonderful when we dip into the Old Testament we see a mirror for the New? So many Catholics only read the New Testament thinking the Old Doesn't matter ; but it does.

Look at Queen Esther saving her people..a perfect type of Mary as Advocate!!

The Jews still have a Feast to celebrate Esther, I suppose you might call if a Marian Feast in a way....Purim.

  4. This teaching is also presented by Dr. Mark Miravalle in the Mariology course http://motheofgod.com/threads/study-the-theology-of-the-mother-of-god.13437/#post-248254 through Maryourhelp.org He shows that when we view Mary as Queen Mother, we are simply acknowledging the role of Queen Mother in the Old Testament. The Queen Mother presents the needs of the people for the King's attention and intercedes for them. Bathsheba, the Queen Mother, does this very thing in asking her son for Adonijah. 1 Kings 2:20 Then she (Queen Mother Bathsheba) said, "I am making one small request of you; do not refuse me." And the king said to her, "Ask, my mother, for I will not refuse you." Thanks, Mario, for presenting this. May we find abundant occasions soon to tell others about Our Blessed Mother and her important role in the Church.

Reading a book called jesus and the Jewish roots of Mary. Great reading it says you never understand Mary fully unless you look into the Jewish roots. Like In the garden eve was called women right up to the fall after the fall she became Eve. That's why jesus called Mary women at the wedding of cana because it wasn't his time yet

  6. Toddler’s love for the Virgin Mary goes viral (Watch Video)

As one commenter wrote, “The Blessed Mother speaks to all of us, but in particular to children. She is a mother, after all.”

It’s clear from this viral Facebook video that this little girl already has a special relationship with the Blessed Virgin Mary. Watch to the end, as she can hardly tear herself away, but does it in the most reverent way imaginable.

In John 19:26, when Jesus said to John, “Behold your mother,” he made all of us her children, with recourse to a mother in heaven to watch over us, intercede for us and protect us from evil. This video reminds us that even the littlest of her children are close to her heart.
