Thank God indeed. I notice the legacy media is still announcing the end of the world but that is how they work.
We have about 15 inches. Forecast is another 5-11 inches of snow and then ice. Hoping power stays on. Its freezing out there.
Well it's been snowing and blowing since 9 this morning and it looks like a winter wonderland here in Ct., but the power's still on, the stove's pumping out heat, a beef stew's cooking and we've got fresh homemade bread made. Just don't know how we'll get the dog in and outcuz the deck's already covered-Lost in the snow, but that's not my problem. My son tried clearing out earlier, but this kind of storm all you can do is wait for it to pass. Just hoping and praying we all keep the power on! Wow something big just hit the house!
We are in raging blizzard mode this evening, with a little over a foot on the ground right now. We just ventured out to clear off the cars and driveway, but it's coming down so fast you really can't keep up. Supposed to change over to sleet at some point tonight, but ocean effect snow will return throughout the day tomorrow. Thanks be to God, we are still holding on to our power.
My husband just asked for prayers. He's leaving my brother's apartment now to drive to work (20 min away), and it's so slippery he fell to the ground just walking to his car.
Also my cousin who lived in TN is without power since they had horrible ice storms there...There are trees splitting and falling all over the roads and power lines... My cousin's car had a tree limb fall on it, and he heard something fall on his roof but hasn't been out to see what it is because he's trying to conserve heat.
Prayers for all in this path. Concern for the elderly and the homeless. So far we have power. My husband and daughter just finished plowing almost a foot of snow. It is white out conditions literal pouring snow. We expect to be plowing a couple more times before it is done. Purple flower, prayers for your husband and miker's neighbors.
Praying for all in harm’s way Here it is freezing rain. It’s just ghastly but not nearly as bad as what some are experiencing. Power still on. PTL
