Oh my gosh. 3 to 5 days.... praying that some miracle happens to change that.. I do believe in miracles.
Thanks for the prayers. We have a gas heater in the basement. We cranked it up as high as it will go and leave the basement door open, not great but it will have to do. We still have no power. We have a gas range so at least I can cook. The winds are still blowing hard so the electric crews cannot go up in the buckets. We just had to transfer everything from the freezers to a big container on the deck. I think there could be nearly two feet of snow out there. I have never seen the Cape like this, definitely an experience.
Appreciate your prayers. I will certainly pray for the farm animals, itβs so hard. My daughter has had a rough day with her animals. The winds are frightening, been howling all day long with no let up.
Thank you for the prayers. There is so much snow and so much damage to the electrical lines it is catastrophic. The shelters are filled to capacity, some communities actually got 40β of snow. There are vehicles and even plows stuck on the roads. Thousands still without power.
Storm update. Thank you all so much for your prayers. Our power was restored late this afternoon. I was looking out the window, and I happened to see a power truck in the distance. I threw on my coat and ran down the street to flag him down, 15 minutes later our power was back on. God is good! It has been quite the ordeal, our community was brought to it's knees by this terrible storm. We were more fortunate than others who had trees down and severe property damage from the hurricane force winds. There is a massive amount of clean up work to be done. Time stands still when you are focused on keeping your family and home safe. It was a time for reflection, perseverance and prayer, no coincidence that it is the season of Lent.
