I think she may have some skeletons in her closet. I'm not sure she wants the glaring spotlight of a pres race even with the complete uncritical support of the media. Just sayin'.

May Gid continue to bless President Trump. He has done everything he can to stop the deep state of Masonry. He bought us time. Had Hillary gotten President or any of communist, not just America, but the whole free world would be full out communism by now. Sadly, if the prophets of these at correct, which I believe they are, something big is coming to the world October/November this year. Not long to see from now. I feel it will be a short, but very deadly nuclear war, killing many. Then things will be at their worst as our Lady of Garabandal foretold.

Fatima, you worry me: your proximity to probable targets would put you and loved ones at a greater risk than I up in Central New York. God protect you.

    Prayers for all!

What is interesting is my husband asked me to go to the sotre today and fill up the holes in our supplies. We are prepared for another bad run on grocery stores, just in case (especially toilet paper :D:D). My husband is a really good Catholic but he does not follow prophecy. We talk about it but he knows next to nothing except for Fatima. I asked him why he wanted me to buy a few more items. He said he had a bad feeling for Oct/Nov. I tried to ask him to be specific but he said he felt something really bad was going to happen. So, people paying attention can pick up signals possibly. It might be something bad. I would love for it to be nothing but who are we kidding? Even an idiot can see the pot is boiling and about to blow.

Thank you for sharing this. Here on the East Coast there is a shortage of paper towels and I am just waiting to see if the TP is next for a shortage.
I am like you, hoping for the best but praying and preparing for who knows what.
So much is contingent on prayers. It’s all

Easy guys. Hoarding paper products was insane in March.

I guess I would suggest think first, buy ONE each week (when not needed) of that or other essentials like batteries, gasoline..

Approach it strategically. We have no need for panic buying.

Most stores now have limits on many hot items.

Of something ominous this Fall, my sense is that would be the election. If Biden is elected, he has assured in interviews he WILL shut the country down til Covid is under control.

Far more vital than stocking up on various items seems to be identifying a Priest willing to celebrate private Mass in homes or allow numbers of parishioners to their Rectory if/when we are again not allowed public Mass. Have we not also been encouraged to set up home altars?

If I could attach a photo from my phone I would.

That's what I am doing. Stocking up. It's being prudent, don't you agree?:):coffee:
If I don't buy it, it's not going to fly into my pantry and be here when we need it:LOL:And you are right, there are limits.
As far as the paper towel issue goes, our local Fox news station declared that there was a shortage of paper towels, which I had noticed upon going to the store just a day before. I looked up further details and learned that the process of making paper towels takes awhile and uses specialized equipment which is very expensive and is not likely to be replaced. So I just thought I would let you know the background of my story, Joan, so you and other readers might take some stock of what you might be needing. That was the intent of my post, to inform.

Stocking up is one thing. Panic buying doesn't seem necessary. I'm encouraging caution with that.

Granted I'd like a 25 lb. Bag of Jasmine rice to go with our brown.

After experiencing the severe shortages during the lockdown, I have every intention of staying ahead of the game. Back in April when toilet paper was very scarce, I was driving by a CVS and I saw a woman walking out of the store carrying a package of toilet paper. I raced into the CVS parking lot, and ran into the store as fast as I could. I felt like a lottery winner throwing that TP into my cart. We just got paper towels back in stock this week, unfortunately they returned with a higher price tag. I never realized paper towel making was so complicated.

We have been buying every week with normal grocery shopping as well. I don't want to be caught with bare shelves like last time. It is still humorous that there continues to be such a paper shortage. The stores are full again but you can see definite holes in the stocks of things. Pasta was gone awhile here so is just now getting back to normal. I buy 3-4 extra boxes of things like this since June every time I go to the store or when available. Even in the height of it I wasn't a hoarder. I just think it is wrong to buy an entire shelf of something. It doesn't feel right. But I sure did see it. Our pantry is stocked well and I rotate.

My mother used to do this so it is something I grew up with. However, we in America have honestly become so comfortable with having SO much I never really had too much extra. It is always available so why bother. Even when I lived in Cali, in earthquake central, we had very little in the way of a stockpile. Only really water in our cars in case we were stuck somewhere. In March what I saw was mind blowing and so I think I will from now on have my pantry stocked. You just never know.

The spiritual side of this does bother me. If they shut off Mass again it will be painful. I really miss my life with the church. We go to Mass every week but I miss my choir. I miss taking my daughter to catechism. We were all so involved spending a lot of time during the week at church which is comforting. I will have to think on this.

Another thing is for seniors. We get our checks once a month on Social Security{oxymoron of a name if ever there was one}. In March everything was fine one week, we were low on toilet paper and I wanted to get some, but my husband said it could wait till next week when we got our checks. When our checks came in the stores were empty. So being prudent when we have seen what happened and what is happening in our country now is sensible. But yeah hoarding is wrong and of course our spiritual preparation is the most important.

Kamala Harris has stated that members of the Knights of Columbus should not be eligible to serve as employees of the US Government because they are strictly against "female reproductive rights". Well, I spent 32 years as a lawyer for the US federal government and I belonged to the KOC but nobody ever asked me about it. However, I find the statement by the now Democrat (read="liberal") Vice Prez candidate for Joe Biden (a supposed catholic) to be offensive as Harris is saying that if you are an observant catholic, you should not be permitted to work for the US government, the largest employer in the USA. She is a de facto bigot against the Roman Catholic church.

Things Catholics Should Know About Kamala Harris
As vice-presidential nominee Kamala Harris takes the stage tonight at the Democratic National Convention, a look at some of the issues she has championed throughout her career.
    Alyssa Murphy
With the Democratic National Convention in full swing and Joe Biden’s pick for vice president, Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., taking the stage tonight along with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, here are 14 facts about Harris’ career, including her time serving as attorney general of California, on issues impacting life, family and religious freedom — issues that every Catholic should be concerned about and pray about as we move closer to the 2020 election.

    1. While serving in the Senate, Harris has maintained a 100% rating from the group National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws (NARAL), a pro-abortion entity.

    2. Harris has advocated for expanding women’s “reproductive rights” and also supports killing life in the womb for the entire term of the pregnancy, including at the moment of birth.

    3. Harris has proposed that states with a history of restricting abortion rights should have to secure federal approval before new abortion laws can be put in place. She also claimed that if these safeguards aren’t put in place, “women will die,” leading The Washington Post to give her four “Pinocchios” for the false claim. During a primary debate in Westerville, Ohio, Harris explained:

“There are states that have passed laws that will virtually prevent women from having access to reproductive health care. And it is not an exaggeration to say women will die. Poor women, women of color will die because these Republican legislatures in these various states who are out of touch with America are telling women what to do with their bodies.”

    4. As attorney general of California, Kamala Harris prosecuted pro-life journalists from the Center for Medical Progress who investigated Planned Parenthood and its selling of aborted baby body parts, leading to a House investigation and hearing.

    5. Harris also used her power as attorney general to raid the home of one of the most prominent investigative journalists, David Daleiden.

    6. As senator, Harris supported a bill that would repeal the Hyde Amendment, a measure that blocks federal funding for abortion and has historically always received bipartisan support. Harris challenged Biden at a 2019 Democratic presidential primary debate for his previous longtime support of the Hyde Amendment. Bowing to pressure, Biden reversed his position a few days later.

    7. in the Senate, Harris has twice voted against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, a bill that would require doctors to provide the same care to babies who survive botched abortions as they would to any other newborn.

    8. In 2018, during the Senate hearing for the nomination of Brian Buescher to serve as a district judge in Nebraska, Harris attacked Buescher, insinuating that his involvement in the Knights of Columbus, a charitable Catholic fraternal organization, disqualified him from serving on the bench. The incident led the entire Senate to pass legislation denouncing any sort of religious test for judicial nominees.

    9. Reports abound regarding Harris’ role in how the clergy sex-abuse crisis within the Catholic Church was handled when she was San Francisco district attorney. Personnel files obtained by prosecutors from the Archdiocese of San Francisco on the sex-abuse crisis going back decades show that her office did not prosecute any priests. She has since argued that those records were not subject to public-records laws.

    10. Just as Proposition 8 was passing in 2008 in California, a ballot measure that banned same-sex “marriage” in the state, Harris announced her campaign for California attorney general. While serving the state as attorney general for six years, Harris never defended the ban in court, despite the measure’s success. In 2013, a ruling in a separate case (Hollingsworth v. Perry) found the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a 2010 federal court decision invalidating Proposition 8, allowing same-sex unions to resume in the Golden State.

    11. Although recent polling of the American public shows a majority of Americans agree with some restrictions on abortion, Harris insists there should be none, leading the charge against a 20-week abortion ban.

    12. In 2015, in her capacity as California attorney general, Harris helped shape legislation known as the “Reproductive Facts Act” that would force licensed crisis-pregnancy centers to post information that explains they do not provide abortions and that the state of California provides free or low-cost abortions. She was sued and lost in the Supreme Court three years later.

    13. Harris co-sponsored legislation called the “The Equality Act” in 2018, putting free speech and conscience-protection rights in jeopardy. It would also disable the 1993 Religious Freedom Restoration Act, a tremendous blow to religious-liberty protections.

    14. Harris has co-written legislation in 2019 called the Do No Harm Act, which would weaken the reasonable protections of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act — protections requiring any government restriction of religious expression to demonstrate a compelling interest and employ the least restrictive means. Changing this standard would make it harder for many institutions to maintain their religious identity.
