I'm sure all of us will agree with what Taylor Marshall shares in the following, but I think he does so with clarity and thoroughness:

This is one of the things that Protestants get tripped up on all the time. Which is why it is good that many are having online debates. Because many Protestant scholars will get blown out of the water time and again, but will continue to disingenuously teach these things. Which is down right scary. When they say scripture alone, the question becomes "where did the scripture come from?". Also, "where do the correct interpretations of scripture come from?". As well "How do you know the Bible canon is correct?". The fact that Taylor Marshall followed the truth and converted speaks volumes about him.

The Protestant logic of Sola Scriptura, which even questions the infallibility of ecumenical councils, ultimately undermines the authority of its own confessions of faith, which are often contradictory.

True. Even if we go back to the time of the apostles we see them setting up church authority as well. People like Bishop Iranaeus, who was set up by Polycarp, who in turn was a disciple of St. John. Thankfully, God is bigger than everything. I hope we one day are all reunited, in a peaceful and loving way.

Once, the American Baptist pastor Paul Washer said that infant baptism was the "golden calf of the Reformation," which led me to question whether there is a principle of unrest and nonconformity throughout the history of Protestantism. After all, if the two pillars of the Protestant Reformation, Martin Luther and John Calvin, were carrying a golden calf on their backs by defending infant baptism, what legitimate spiritual authority would they have to reform the Church? Such a principle eventually led to abominations like the denial of the Holy Trinity, which occurs in some religions like Jehovah's Witnesses and Oneness Pentecostals.

I think I know where they are coming from with this. It's like when we start intellectualizing our faith we start putting God in a box. But the funny thing is that no where in scripture does it say baptism has to happen as an adult. We do have to be born again in the Spirit, but conversion is a lifetime process. It is like when St. Thomas Aquinas said everything he wrote was straw after having a revelation from God. We are constantly undergoing baptism IMO. Also, I think its amazing that the Church was growing for over 300 years before the Bible was finally canonized. The apostles had only their sandals and their faith when they started.
