I know what you mean. All of them....every organ of culture taken over. My understanding is that it was a "long march" through the institutions. Compromising others through bribery or blackmail or promises of fame and fortune or power. Then once the person is "hooked" they are held by fear or absolute capitulation. The devil's end game. This is why Fr Ripperger and other spiritually astute people and all of us really know that God must intervene. And that He will intervene.. Salvation history shows this over and over. Prayer and trust and offerings of everything we can offer and keeping our eyes on Jesus....to me that is the only way to navigate this wilderness.
True. Very true. This world offers so much temptation. It speaks of indulging your passions. Of 'living a little'. 'You only live once'. 'You deserve it'. What I've noticed however is that it rarely speaks of forgiveness. And unlike with Jesus, certain 'sins' in the eyes of the world are absolutely unforgivable. Perhaps this is deliberate. Bono. Tredeau. Macron. Sean Penn (God hasn't he turned into the ridiculous!). Katy Perry. Etc etc etc. Have they and all of their ilk been sucked into something sinister? Where they made to feel indispensable. Have they tasted fame beyond their wildest dreams. And then, during a night of over-indulgence: whence they were drugged-up on purpose - or, deliberately by their handlers; the following morning they are handed a brown envelope. In the brown envelope there is contained photographs of they committing the most heinous acts. And which because of the drugs, they don't even remember. Therefore, going forward, and to avoid exposure; they must tow the line at threat of being exposed and ostracized by this unforgiving world. Sounds far-fetched, but it's the only logical reason I can think of as to why they would all be on the same hymnsheet so consistently.
I have had similar thoughts. Sometimes when I’m at adoration the thought strikes me - am I adoring correctly? How do you adore? And then I think of my my sister’s dog and how he looks at her. To him she is perfect, all knowing, all good and you can tell this dog looks at her with complete love with every cell in his little brain/body. I hope when God looks at me He sees the same expression on my face
I don't have dogs, but that describes the look my baby boys give me that I cherish so much. I can move about the room and their eyes are locked on my face, and their gaze when I pick them up is one of pure delight. What a wonderful perspective, to think of gazing upon the Face of God and how He must cherish that!
...and then they turn into teenagers !! I'm only half joking.. Maybe that's why we fall so much. We revert back to teenager mode and rebel. That's probably why we need adoration so much. To bring us back to our senses. It truly is a great gift.
The extreme and universal success of this 'long march' seems beyond mere human powers. This is the conclusion that Naomi Wolf has apparently come to. The old time communists managed to impose their will by great violence, but did not succeed in converting most of the people into their way of thinking. Soft communism, through what just has to be Screwtapian guidance, has brainwashed almost entire populations, even those of whom one would be confident of their resistance.
I think C.S. Lewis described the relationship between dog and man as a 'type' of that between man and God. That, I believe, was why he came around to the belief that dogs would accompany us in Heaven (what happens them, if we don't get there)?!
Yes. Exactly. This brainwashing through license called freedom, through luxury and gratification has all but ruined our formerly Christian culture. And convincing people all these gratification so-called are necessary to their happiness is The Lie that began in Eden. We used to know better. But one of the terrible effects of sin is the darkening of the intellect so that one no longer sees clearly what is good and what is evil. This great deception goes well beyond human agency. Naomi Wolfe is right. The truth makes "strange bed fellows"---welcome aboard Naomi. May God's grace lead you to the Incarnate Truth Himself.
"Screwtapian" --- love it!!! ...aye, we saw it throughout the covid carry-on. People were brainwashed. It has spread now to many other areas of society. When people stop believing in God they start believing in anything! "God would send a great deception upon them, so that many would believe the lie"
Enormous. I remember reading on Zero Hedge (a site that my iPad seems to block my access to, lately) some years back that this bank was in a very precarious position. If I recall correctly, the exposure to derivatives was in the region of fifty trillion dollars. If so, it will be, shall we say, interesting. Edit: my memory isn't failing me, yet. A quick search brought up an article in the WSJ from 2016, about Deutsche's $47 trillion exposure to derivatives.
Many real experts (ie. those not in the mainstream media) reckon we're only at the start of this thing. There's plenty to come yet, yes it will be very interesting indeed.
The SVB was bought out, in order to stem the contagion. Maybe the people on this forum could club together and buy Deutsche Bank!
