Here's a little story. We own a 2nd home on Hilton Head Island, SC. It's 300 yards off the beach. Hurricane Matthew tore through there 10 days ago, I was awaken at 3am and looked at the radar as we were anxious about what would happen with our home. I laid in bed and looked at the eye wall of the storm directly over our home, it raged there for hours with 100+ winds and 10 1/2 foot storm surge. As our home is right near the beach and the island had not been hit by a hurricane in over 100 years, there are thousands of 100 foot pine and 70 foot oak trees all over the island, including about 20 on our lot a few of which tower directly over our home and dozens on adjoining lots. It took the national guard and local firemen and authorities 4 days to cut enough trees off the roads that had been knocked down everywhere left and right to be able to get back to our area of the island. Obama declared the island a disaster area. Pictures began to come in from our neighbors on social media showing devastation from trees down on homes and the storm surge flooding homes. One week ago, the 4th day after the storm, they got to our home. Our property manager on the island left me a voice mail and sent me pictures telling me we were "very lucky compared to everyone else on the island where most every home had some damage". There was no damage to our home, not a single tree down on our lot, and the storm surge went around our home. There weren't even any limbs down, just some blown about debris that our landscaper said took him an hour to clean up and blow off the driveway, walkways, and decks. All I can say is we have said hundreds of rosaries in that home over the past 10 years, and we have consecrated our family and thus enthroned our homes to the Two Hearts. You know what I've been doing up in the mountains for the past couple of years after being led there. So yes, I think there will be protection from the storm both physical and spiritual. So you seem to conclude the consecration of Russia with all the bishops took place in 1984, right? 32 years ago (even though the word 'Russia' was never spoken)? Did I miss the "era of peace" our Lady of Fatima said would follow the consecration? Cause I have been alive since then to watch many wars, violence on the rise, lawlessness, moral decay and now full blown apostasy in the Church. Is this the "era of peace you were looking forward to"? I don't think so. Objective evidence validates the consecration of Russia has not taken place and it's communistic unmasking will show its self soon enough in the form of global evil. The Consecration to the world that Pope John Paul did in1984 did delay God's justice, bought us a little more preparation time, but it did not fulfill the specific request of our Lady of Fatima and now we face the effects of not fulfilling heavens request.

I can see your point, she is trying to be tough and it comes across too tough. No hesitation as you state, not good. If she is going to call it a deterrent then speak of it as a deterrent. Any PM or Pres. or what have you needs to realize that what they put out in the world will probably come back to their people in one way or another. She should have thrown it back at the aggressors, something like, "These weapons exist and I would prefer to not use them but anyone taking aim at our country should consider the fact that it a possibility that we may be forced into a situation which calls for this." If you explode as nuclear weapon in any city you're going to incinerate most of the people in it. Say you decide, for instance to nuke Moscow. Most of the people in the city are civilians. Now if we take this one city alone we have a population of 12 millin of which , say, six million of them are children. Of course nuclear weapons should be banned. Everybody says so but then they all say we'll get rid ours when the enemy gets rid of theirs. Innocent civilians are always killed in war. The convenient term for it nowadays is collateral damage, making dead people sound like damaged buildings. What would happen if, say, NATO got rid of their nukes? What if China decided to invade one of its neighbours and the US went to war against them using conventional weapons (which also kill many innocent civilians) and the US were winning? Do you think that China wouldn't use nukes as a last resort if they knew that the US couldn't respond in kind? I think they would. I also think it possible that any of the nuclear armed countries would do the same, so having nukes on both sides of any conflict could well be the best deterrent against anyone using them. Trouble is that even if they all agree to get rid of their nukes they will never trust each other and will always try to hold on to a few as an insurance policy. That's man's fallen nature for you.
