Visions And Prophecies of Fr. Oliveira

Understandable for sure. I had not heard of John Leary prior to reading about Fr. Rodrigue. When I did hear about Mr. Leary, his Bishop had already "done his job", so I never bothered to look at any of his writings, until a few minutes ago. Yikes ~ did not sit well at all.

Fr. Rodrigue's never hit me that way at all. Take the good & leave the rest.

I totally understand why the trepidation though. I had the same thoughts about the earlier post in this thread when I saw
the comparison to MDM.

I can see now where Brian was coming from in that whole discussion. When you realize that the Good Lord had one unsavoury guy travelling with Him too, it helps to remember that not all travelling companions are true.

For myself, it seems Fr. Rodrigue was never given the respect of an investigation due to bishops who don't believe in such things. Sad for him and for all of us.

That said, I totally understand why anyone would hesitate due to the association with Mr. Leary ~

 

I thought that it was odd that this Brazilian priest spoke of Padre Pio prophesying about the 3 days of darkness when I have read on MOG that he did not. But most of what he said I just had a difficult time understanding for one reason or another.

 

Lois, there are a couple of very long threads about Fr Rodrigue on this forum. I am not sure I would compare him with Our Lord. He had choices and he set up talking engagements in several cities with John Leary. So I will not comment further on this thread about that. It was a matter of discernment for me.
I only mentioned him because his name was brought up.

 

Oh my, HH ~ I didn't mean to come across as comparing him with our Lord. Never. I just meant, for me anyway, sometimes you "travel" with who you may believe to be a friend, when really they aren't a friend at all. Our Lord definitely knew who He travelled with....
I'll leave it there as well, as it was only a matter of discernment for me , and look at the previous threads.

 

I do believe you are right about thinking you have a friend and then the moment of truth comes and you realize they do not wish you well at all.

 

Well, that's been a fact of life for me. It really chokes one's confidence in the end. But, I'm learning....it really takes practice to be able to keep one's peace and at the same time have the confidence to say what one thinks, while being open to correction ~ hoping everything is of good will and charity ~

I completely understand why the trepidation. But I still enjoyed Fr Rodrigue’s talks. Especially his analysis on the Virgin of Knock apparition. I found him funny and brilliant. And here we are, in a middle of a war, that may easily turn into a World War, just like he prophesied. As for John Leary, maybe having him there helped to change his ideas on the end times. I don’t see how Leary affected Fr Rodrigue’s Catholicism.

 

This Fr Oliveira predicted that Pope Benedict would die in 2022. I had just read this over a couple of days ago and the same day I saw Pope Francis was asking for prayer for Benedict and.. here we are.

 

Just made it! Prayers for the repose of his soul.

 

Wow. We really are living in prophetic times.
