this is pretty neat, it gets a little hung up at the end but the taping makes you feel like you are really there. http://www.medjugorje.hr/en/multimedia/virtual-walk/
I know. I only discovered it yesterday. It's a great little gadget for those of us who've never been there!
Sean - make every effor to go - you would love every second of it. It brings me joy even now to think of being there last July - thank God!
I went for the first time 4 years ago. I knew that I was being called to go, made arrangements and went. It changed my life, my heart and my vision of where I was going and who I was going with. I can't recommend it enough. It will make your walk of faith more precious and much more intimate. Sometimes I still receive the graces that I first encountered there.
Its like Our Lady taking you in your arms and the giving you a big hug. The hall way to heaven. Unbelievable.
We have been considering a trip ourselves but our kids are a bit young at 8 and 11. Do you think we should wait until they are a bit more mature? I'm not sure how to do this. All the trips I find are 6-8 days and I don't think they can handle more than a day or two at the most. They just wont understand why we would stay more than one day. Any thoughts?
Because there is not much time left I would take them as soon as possible, we are on the very, very verge of the big changes. I saw many young folks in Medugorje ,especially American kids, there were very large numbers from the USA there {though I am proud to say there were about 6,000 from little Ireland there when I stayed} so your children with have other peers to talk to. Also at the village there are other things, just outside the village are waterfalls were folks go to swim and stay the day and their are trips to other places like Dubrovnik, which is just gorgeous.. But the main place is the village itself, its like being in heaven, trust them to their Mother she will take care of them, thats my advice. The time for going to there is coming swiftly to an end , people for ages to come will be jealous of us for getting a chance to go, don't miss it.
Kathleen, when I went we staid in a Pension with the rest of our group and among them were some wonderful children. They understood and studied every thing they could about the Apparitions and the youngest, a lovely American girl around 9, climbed Cross Mountain barefooted to do penance for all who didn't yet know Jesus. The Holy Spirit moves as the Holy Spirit moves, no one is exempt...take them! Lee
We brought our 10 year old son Niall with us last year and he loved it. In fact it was Niall who took the video of the pulsating sun for us - you can here us all as I posted it on Youtube!
Thanks for the advice. You guys are great. It'll be the will of God if we go- I pray about it daily and leave it up to him. I know time is short. I really want to go for the faith of my children and my husband- but if the warning comes and the whatnot hits the fan- we'll be fine to stay put and ride it out. I know they will find God right here. But Ohhhhh I do want to go If she stops visiting Mejugorje before we get there, we'll just come to Ireland and have a grand tour there. Kath
Kathleen, you might want to subscribe to MEDJUGORJE magazine. It gives history and great articles of those who have supported it so well in all the years. Lee
