Trump doesn't mask his sins and errors, he often speaks about them in public.
I do accept Trumps word, many here don't.

Cruz masked things/events with Carson voters since New Hampshire and South Carolina issues with doctored photos...etc and then Nevada video release on the false Bible ref by Rubio... Conservatives and Evangelicals turned from Cruz, his banner says TRUSTED . and now he totally lost voters Trust.
People know Trumps past sins he made several public confessions already. at least we can go in a box...lol

Word on the street, Carson is staying in the race to take voters from Cruz? MSNBC CNN pundits are asking

1973 we threw God out , as a Nation...Roe v Wade . Didn't start 2 election cycles ago with Obama. Pope John Paul even warned Bush not to go into Iraq and remove Sadam 3 if not 4 different times. I believe JP2 said great harm would come to America if we did ... now the World is ablaze. (recently stumbled across a press clip on JP2 warning)

I was for the wars myself so I admit my serious errors...my confession!

Yep MC...a godless nation begets a godless leader.

All that is left is prayer...keeping our own souls, as sinners that we all are, pure and accept Gods punishment upon our nation.

In the end...we are only accountable for our responsibility in doing what is right...not for what others do.

It's so sad just the same.

Trump flip flop on immigration...tickle the ear trump

    Trump:

‘You know, the truth is I have a lot of illegals working for me in Miami,’ he told them, using the term for undocumented immigrants those in the meeting found offensive. ‘You know in Miami, my golf course is tended by all these Hispanics — if it wasn’t for them my lawn wouldn’t be the lawn it is; it’s the best lawn,’ Pacheco recalled Trump saying. Trump said he knew the work of undocumented people is what makes his golf courses and hotels great. ‘At the end of the day, what we’re looking at is a value proposition for America,’ Tijerino said to Trump at the end of the meeting, referring to immigration legislation. ‘You’ve convinced me,’ Trump said to the delight of the activists in the room. Yet, not only was Donald Trump’s belligerent voice absent in this fight, but he also echoed the very obnoxious sentiments promulgated by the worst elements of the GOP establishment. He blamed Mitt Romney for being too conservative on immigration: - See more at: https://www.conservativereview.com/...-voice-when-we-needed-it#sthash.eT4s63BM.dpuf

What is so disappointing for most of us who have bled for the cause is that this is about America’s future more than any cult of personality. Trump likes to brag how he is the man who single-handedly shifted the focus to immigration. Imagine if he would have “seen the light” and “evolved” just a few years earlier when we actually could have nipped the irreversible damage in the bud?

We’ve had a number of Republicans stab us in the back, even after fighting for our causes during the early years of their careers. We’ve never had someone fight for us who had never demonstrated a desire to fight for our issues until it came time to win an election. If we are so gullible as to accept a charlatan after being betrayed by these very same establishment liars for so many years, we deserve the governance we get. It's time for conservatives to overcome the excitement of fighting words, and remember the essential importance of fighting deeds.

I guess you won't be voting for either Rubio or Cruz, because both of them are all over the place on immigration.

Well, I knew Cruz was a cheater and a liar after his dirty campaign in Iowa, but now it looks like Rubio is resorting to lies in order to attack Trump:

HOUSTON — Marco Rubio has attacked Donald Trump by name, criticizing the candidate he called the GOP front-runner for not strongly opposing the federal health care law and for suggesting he could be a moderator in the Israeli Palestinian conflict.

At a Houston rally, the Florida senator said “the front-runner in this race, Donald Trump, has said he’s not going to take sides on Israel versus the Palestinians because he wants to be an honest broker.”

Rubio said there was no such thing “because the Palestinian Authority, which has strong links to terror, they teach little kids, 5-year-olds, that it’s a glorious thing to kill Jews.”

He also named Trump in accusing him of thinking “parts of Obamacare are pretty good” drawing boos.

Rubio’s comments came before Thursday’s Republican debate in Houston....
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...39f6ac-db57-11e5-8210-f0bd8de915f6_story.html

Now these are outright lies by Marco. Trump's comments on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict are out in the open for everyone to hear, and Marco is just outright lying about Trump's stated position on Israel:

As a Catholic, Rubio is also taking a stance directly opposite to the Holy See, which does recognize the State of Palestine. Rubio is going to go down in flames if he tries to push this lying attack on Trump in tonight's debate because Trump is on the record in support of Israel and Trump has even singled out the Palestinian side as the side with more hate from an early age. All Trump has said is that as a negotiator he would want to enter any Israeli-Palestinian talks from a neutral standpoint, which is entirely just and necessary in order to even have a chance at diplomatically resolving that conflict. Marco should be ashamed of himself for such a stupid, lying attack on Trump.

No, I'll be voting for one of the two candidates who have consistent ProLife voting RECORDS....who NEVER though that abortion or partial birth abortion was EVER ok...and who never said that planned parenthood "does good things for women". I'll also be voting for one of the two candidates that does not have a proabortion sister who is a judge that might be appointed by a candidate to the Supreme Court.

The only two candidates that can be trusted as ProLife are Cruz and Rubio.

If you can't trust Trump on life...you just can't trust him...period.

  12. Richard67

    Richard67 Powers

Beth, you have a proven record here of willfully ignoring Trump's stated position on abortion and planned parenthood and instead have fixated on what he said in the past in order to suit your pro-Cruz/Rubio agenda. Your campaign slogan has become "anybody but Trump" but what that translates to in reality is a win for Hillary should Cruz or Rubio get the nomination.

As for who is more trustworthy, it is certainly not the proven cheater and liar Ted Cruz. Donald Trump was wrong on many issues in the past, that is true, but in 2016 which is right now when it counts, Beth, Trump is pro-life and moving in the right direction on life issues (no thanks to the leaders of the pro-life movement, who have done nothing but disparage him and question his motives from day one). Ted Cruz, on the other had, is a proven cheater and liar, not twenty years ago when it would not have mattered, but today in 2016 when it really matters. The RNC should have disqualified Cruz following the Iowa scandal. As for Rubio, his latest attack on Trump involving Israel and Healthcare demonstrates that Rubio is now willing to lie and play dirty in order to get ahead. Couple this with his lying, warmongering foreign policy and Rubio is no more trustworthy than Cruz.

Of course, if Rubio and Cruz decide to team-up on Trump, it will only help Trump. Trump is not the one who went out looking to attack his opponents. Trump from the very beginning simply stated his position on the issues, as controversial as they may have been with regard to Immigration and Muslims. It was only after he started doing much better in the polls than anyone expected that Cruz and Jeb began to attack him. It was in responding to those attacks, especially during the debates, that Trump excelled. Jeb even got so desperate that he was forced to bring G.W. Bush out from the closet and on to the campaign trail in South Carolina. When Jeb then used his brother's record during the debate as a crutch with which to beat Trump over the head, Trump smartly took that crutch and pummeled Jeb. But it wasn't Trump who went out looking for that fight. Same with the Pope's comments: it wasn't Trump who attacked the Pope as some media talking heads were trying to spin it. No, it was the Pope who first attacked Trump and then Trump responded to it. Trump gets stronger and stronger with every attack and every controversy. Trump speaks his mind and is willing to admit when he is wrong and change a position accordingly (as he did with regard to abortion). The voters like this and they like the fact that Trump is not afraid of being politically incorrect and that he does not back down in a fight.

The RNC should now come to terms with reality and get behind Trump. If they try any dirty tactics on him like a brokered convention, then Trump will run Independent and you might as well hand the election to the Democrats. Trump is the winning ticket and this election is really the RNC's to lose.

    well well well

Seems the GOP and Democrats team up against Trump...

Former GOP Presidential candidate Mitt Romney pulls a (D) Sen Harry Reid on Trump to disclose his federal taxes....lol ... really Mitt? (Dem Senator Reid demanded Romney disclose his taxes, or maybe your hideing something, Reid had stated. General election 2012) Romney saying the same line against Trump now. Romney repeats ,maybe Trump hasn't given to Vets like he claims, FALSE Mitt ! If anyone watched Bill O Reilly beg Trump to come to the Iowa debate FOX sponsored, Bill made note to Trump how he helped O Reilly raise 20 Million Dollars to buy specialty wheel chairs for wounded VETS ! So Romney is just sowing seeds of doubt/lies.

    but the plot thickens...

Beth, you have posted a video by Katie Packer weeks ago. Shes an interesting person.
I watched Katie on FOX and CNN weeks ago and she said on CNN when asked who was funding this PAC she works for and Katie said she didn't know all the donors but an FEC filing was coming in a couple weeks...

    http://conservativeintel.com/2016/0...rts-anti-trump-pac-did-mitt-ask-her-to-do-it/
A former Romney operative refuses to answer whether or not she discussed her controversial new Anti-Trump Political Action Committee with the 2012 GOP Presidential nominee.

The PAC, started by Katie Packer, is sending out Anti-Trump propaganda pieces in Iowa and plans on conducting other operations.

Reports say Mitt is horrendously frightened of the prospects of a Trump nomination…

    also from Politico

“With less than two weeks until the Iowa caucuses, a new super PAC has formed with the intention of taking down Donald Trump.

The group, which is called Our Principles PAC, is founded by Katie Packer, a veteran Republican strategist who served as deputy campaign manager on Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign...

Another Former Romney operative, gave an interview with Bloomburgs Halpern and replayed on MSNBC Tuesday night on Rachael Maddow (sp) ... stated Trump will be taken down like we did to Newt Gingrich after his landslide win in SC 2012 and Mitch Mc Connells win over Republican challenger in 2014...Total dis information campaign was waged and so we got Mitt for President and Mitch McConnell now... vote establishment folks

Breitbart .com even commented on Katies PAC
    http://www.breitbart.com/big-govern...ment-deal-donate-5-million-to-anti-trump-pac/

A Chicago-based family of billionaires, with close ties to Chicago mayor and former Obama chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, were revealed as the secret donors behind a series of anti-Donald Trump advertisements.
A report from the Federal Election Commission, revealing donors to the Our Principles PAC, shows Chicago’s Marlene Ricketts was the single biggest donor to the group headed by former Mitt Romney adviser Katie Packer.

According to The Hill, the PAC spent up to $4 million fighting Donald Trump in the first three GOP primary states...

This is going to get VERY UGLY real Fast!

The war on Trump has many fronts and for one to have a connection to sleazy Chicago politics as well as both former Democrat administrations and be headed up by a Mitt Romney operative shows that taking down the billionaire insurgent is truly an effort that crosses traditional party lines.
Trump blasted the Rickets via the lethal weapon that is his Twitter account:

I hear the Rickets family, who own the Chicago Cubs, are secretly spending $’s against me. They better be careful, they have a lot to hide!

They know if Trump gets in the cozy-relationship so many wealthy donors and lobbyists have with D.C. is over. It's like what Trump was saying with regard to the Military and the contract-bidding process. He was saying how the troops and generals might really voice support for some new piece of hardware but they get stuck with a lesser quality end-product because the military-contractors wield undue lobbyist power in D.C. Same thing with the healthcare bidding process (or lack thereof). Many powerful people are going to lose a lot of money (money they stole from the public coffers) if Trump gets in. That's why he is being opposed so strongly from both the Left and the Right.

Youre right Richard....the ProLife movement does not trust Trump. He has no loyalty to any position or person from one day to the next. It's whatever suits his needs for the day. His record for flip flopping is well known...it's not an evolving process, it is a deceptive process.

These were my last comments on trump on abortion:

The fact is that Trump has repeadly given muddled answers on funding PP. On His last interview he FINALLY said that he will defund if they do abortions, but after all of this, who could believe him? The problem is that after so many attempts to nail him down, as this appears to do....no one believes him...and for good reason.

One, it took repeated attempts to elicit what appears to be a firm commitment...then he continues to say that PP does good things for women...this is a evil organization that aborts babies and sells their parts! Even IF, IF they did stop abortions( and they won't...it's what they do), why would we give a dime to an organization that has illegally sold baby parts? There are plenty of other clinics that don't or have not ever done abortion s that we could fund. Is trump still just trying to have it both ways?

Two, comments that he would appoint his proabortion sister to the Supreme Court. Last week he admitted that he did say that he would appoint his radical pro abortion sister, but then when pressed said that "he was just kidding"! Really? Now you are kidding...when getting flack, you tell us that you were "just kidding" when in the middle of a presidential race , you say your proabortion sister would be a "phenomenal " judge! Now, after Scalias death, when he's called on it, he takes it back...says he was KIDDINGLY? Who does that?? And prolifers are supposed to hope and believe that he won't appoint his sister?

To demonstrate his lies even further on this issue with his sister, he told one interviewer that he had no idea what his sisters views were on issues! That's right...no idea. Trump realized why he was being called out on his sister...because she is proabortion...and he said that he would appoint her. Then he pretends to not know her position about her views, after she has an established record demonstrating her views. Who believes that Donald Trump, mr. Brilliant, doesn't have a clue to what his sisters views are? But no, his lie gets better! He gives another interview and tells this interviewer that he and his sisters views are a little different!
A little, mind you. But wait, I though you didn't know her views on any issues...and now you say that your views are a little different than hers?
Which is it Trump. Lying again.

Just like with the defunding issue, he now saying he won't fund after being backed to the wall, now say that he won't appoint his proabortion sister to the Supreme Court, says he doesn't know her views on issues, but changes his response and says that their views may be a little differen....the ONLY consistent thing he HAS said, is that PP does wonderful things for women...and his sister is brilliant, smart and admired. Yep, he repeadly praises both.
Thirdly, as trump is now supposedly a convert to the ProLife side (and yes there are real converts....I have campaigned for some myself) , given his conflicting, muddled responses to issues as they relate to abortion...it is impossible to trust this guy with the lives of the unborn...there is zero confidence, IMHO. After prying and pulling him to finally seem to commit on defunding...or his flip flop on his sister, that we could ever trust, or support him for president is impossible.

So, his last video saying he will defund pp, in my opinion isn't worthy of belief. He needs the support of prolifers and seems to FINALLY say what he thinks he NEEDS to say to appear genuine. Problem is, after all his ofisicating on this issue, he not to be believed....just saying what he needs to say to get elected.

He has flipped flopped on so many issues....so many times, that to trust him with the lives of the unborn with his past history would be insane. Some candidates merit belief when they say that they have evolved, but as I have pointed out, trump evolves daily. That is his problem...you never know where he will be tomorrow on any issue...he's like a revolving door.

I hope I'm wrong because it looks like he is the nominee. The people who are supporting this guy, and are responsible for him being elected in spite of this background need to know...they were warned.

As he goes into a general election, the media will unleash even more evidence into his currupt life. It will rival his old buddy Hillary....and lucky us....the choice will be between these two power crazed, unworthy candidates. If he loses to Hillary, it's because the republicans picked a severely flawed candidate that the media will be happy to feast upon...and they will.

    God help us all!

GOP hatching secret plan to stop Trump

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is on record as suggesting he may actually be looking forward to the mess of an open convention.

“I don’t think it necessarily is negative,” Rubio told the Associated Press last week. “Whatever it is, we’re prepared for it.”

But former GOP candidate and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul hopes the Republicans will do everything they can to avoid the disaster of an open convention.

“If the establishment tries to block an outsider from winning the nomination, there’ll be war within the party,” Paul recently warned in a radio interview. “And they’ll destroy the party.”

The Associated Press contributed to this article.

I know you actually believe that Richard, but it's wrong. No one played the game better than trump...he is the ultimate cronie capitalist. He will make deals with anyone, for anything to benefit himself.

He has no loyality to anyone...not his wives, not previous political positions, not people and that will include the folks who with good intentions like you who support him. He will throw you over just like every other commodity in his life. His personality, his history , his current behavior and language is very frightening.

I'm sorry that if he gets the power he is seeking, it will be too late for this nation. The regret will be overwhelming....sadly.

If Trump wins the nomination, the party is destroyed anyway. Nothing good can come out of Trump's ascension that I can think of. He's spoken some unpopular truths, and that was good, but as far as an actual nominee, or probably, if he loses the nomination at an open convention, it would be a disaster for the GOP, whatever the outcome (including if Trump wins the Presidency.)

Here's a comment on a Catholic forum from a Canadian who has been watching the US political process:

Today I was watching a video of Trump talking about punching a protester. All the people behind him laughed without reservation. He also put out a reading of the poem called something like The Snake, and someone (perhaps his campaign) put his words to a collage of images from Europe showing deterioration there due to immigration. Both instances demonstrate that Trump is now willing to appeal directly to the unrestrained id of his supporters. This would never have been countenanced even in 2008.

I’ve been watching Trump and the Trump Phenomenon for a while now. He has not been my cup of tea, but I have thought that he has until now provided cover for people to speak the truth, un-PC though it may be, without being a negative influence to outweigh that benefit.

Today, though, I saw the truly negative side of demagoguery and have concluded that Trump’s influence on the people has become decidedly negative. I have wondered for a while if The Donald could skirt the edge of the worst of demagoguery without falling into that particular hole. Today I received my answer, and the answer is “no.” It appears to me that the Trump Phenomenon has not only run away with a large part of the electorate but now also with The Donald himself.

Just as the rest of society is increasingly falling into error ever more severe, The Donald has now joined that trend and should now accelerate the process. Watch for more words of violence and exclusion from him and his supporters. And watch his supporters become morally corrupted by his fall.

I wonder if there will be time for Trump Brownshirts to form before the Collapse. I hope not.

Trump’s influence is moving out of the realm of catchy braggadocio and into the realm of malignancy. That takes him out of HowardStern-ness and into something that could get very dark unless he dials it back soon.

    And then a follow-up comment:
I don’t feel you were excessive: Trump is a negative, bitter, mean, ruthless man who demonstrates great influence over people, and his followers are devout and unmovable in their allegiance. The prospect of a legion of Brown Shirts (aka Assault Division or Storm Troopers) is a terrifying prospect and unfortunately seems to be within the realm of possibility, especially given the unfolding of the Storm. At this point, he’s still a joke and an empty suit, but with increasing power, a desperate population, and an army of supporters willing to stop at nothing for him……malignancy is an excellent choice of words.
