AED, you are right. Should we have extra supplies in case we hit a bump in the road? Yes, but while caution is warranted, to become engrossed in preparation feeds on itself and one might end up hoarding to the point of not sharing with needy neighbors when something comes down. Trusting in God's providential care and sharing with those struggling is what the Lord desires! Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Isaiah 58:7 “Is not this the fast that I choose...is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him...
True. Russia is the target now. But before Russia how much death and destruction! Two examples among hundreds may suffice to prove the point: the often forgotten British induced Bengal famine during the Second World War in which 4 million Indians may have died and the Belgian colonial atrocities in the Congo which accounted for 10 million deaths. But the chickens may be coming home to roost. For all those who take up the sword will perish by the sword.
Yes. 1 million people apparently died and 2 million emigrated as a result. However, if you do a quick search several sources mention that the cause was a fungus that caused the potato crops to fail. But they FAIL TO MENTION that, while that was true the real cause was the fact that Irish farmers grew plenty of food but were not allowed to eat that food - it belonged to the English land owners who exported the food. The Irish farmers were left with the scraps. You have to dig a little deeper to find that out.
Two thirds of the British army regiments were stationed in Ireland at that time ensuring the food got to the ports in Ireland to be exported to England.
The famine was ultimately the result of the abolition of primogeniture among the native Catholic population. This led to successive, generational subdivisions of their farming land, while the British grew their stolen Irish estates to obscene proportions. The inevitable result was famine, when a sufficient natural disaster ensured the Irish could no longer even subsist. The death and destruction caused throughout the world by post-Catholic Britain, and their continuance as ongoing political consequences, are immense.
Yes. History unvarnished does not redound to their credit. They have much to answer for through their empire.
The English ruling class were born in thievery. Certainly, they were heretics and perpetrators of sacrilege, but the latter were mere opportunities for the sake of the thieving. They stole everything from the Irish, from the Scots and the Welsh. They stole everything from the English common men. They convinced all that they were their 'friends' and their 'betters', except we Irish. I have heard recently that the Bank of England is hugely exposed to Ukrainian debt, as a result of their unending commitment to imperial adventure, as long as it is after the end of their 'empire' (which fortunately was as lacking in time as it was great in space), and a seemingly inevitable defeat there (hence their desperate attempts to escalate with their missiles) could well bring down their once-mighty economy and hopefully finally bring to an end the influence of these thieving 'aristocrats' (of whom Starmer-as opposed to the deposed Corbyn-is most definitely a compliant pawn). Combined with the decline in Germany, we are hopefully seeing the beginning of the end of British/Prussian, Northern European Protestant, kleptomaniacal hegemony and military adventurism.
Most of the mess in the Holy Land is a result of their high-handed interference. If it hadn't been for Boris Johnson and the British establishment that he represented, there probably would have been no war in the Ukraine.
True. This has now been acknowledged even by the US media. Britain also had its share of responsibility for the disastrous war in Iraq which killed one million people and which Pope John Paul desperately tried to avoid.
Iraq being a creation of the British cartographers, with their usual disdain for ethnic, cultural and religious differences.
True. If memory serves me right Yves Dupont in his classic “Catholic Prophecy “ from the 1960s claims that he had read several prophecies concerning the future of Britain. Based on them he says that the chastisements in store for Britain were very very major indeed. But in all fairness countries are a lot like people. If you take a good hard look at our past you’ll always find some very dark spots. We are a fallen world. But I suppose some countries past are darker than others. How many countries have actually followed Our Lord’s command “Blessed are the peacemakers “.
Let’s not forget that King George V refused to help cousin Czar Nicholas escape Russia during the Revolution. He left them there knowing they would all be killed.
Now the enemy is Russia. Russia is bad. Russians are evil. Putin is the new Hitter who wants to conquer the world. People readily believed that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction that could reach London in a matter of minutes. But now they’re provoking the most powerful nuclear state in the world. Will people again take the bait? It’s utter madness. https://youtube.com/shorts/D5xJuyrUIIA?si=2Qr3-eDF8gx52f5m
I actually expect further escalation, but I stumbled across a very vague rumour today that the war will cool down today or in a few days. This is claimed by Dmytro Hordon, a Ukrainian media guy, TV host etc. I haven't bothered to research about him. His claim became a little bit more conceivable to me when a guy on X (who I consider relatively reputable) found that ‘A Russian government Il-96-300 flew to the US on 26 December, visited Washington and New York and returned yesterday.’ We´ll see it soon, if true or not..
The notion being peddled in the west that Russia who after three years can't even conquer two ethnic Russian provences on it's own border, is going to sweep across and take over all of Europe is the height of insane propaganda. Thankfully Trump has no interest in supporting or wasting any more money on the NATO caused, and totally unnecessary war in Ukraine.
The Russians are hardly very much in need of lebensraum. And there's no logic in a country with the world's greatest share of natural resources invading a small continent that is very lacking in any. Of course, how those NATO countries would love to get their hands on those Ukrainian/Russian resources, all in self-defense, of course.
Well it is foretold in many prophecies that Russia will over run Europe. So may not be as far fetched it may seem right now
What if Russia has been bluffing? What if they have been taking their sweet time in conquering Ukraine, to get the West to spend more money on this war that will lead us into bankruptcy. According to Horsheimer, “we are barren today of weapons in our countries, and we don’t have the industrial capability to make more today.” That’s the key to maybe the Marie Julie Jahenny prophecy. What if Ukraine was a trap? An unmistakable trap against us. Putin purposely looking weak to the world, so they spend their money and weapons on a rabbit hole. It would put him, China, and Iran in a stronger position. A position that would give him the strength to invade Europe. It’s just a thought.
