Donald Payne, Sr., D-NJ, was also Baptist. When the elder Payne died in office back in 2012, his funeral was held at a Baptist church. In his dozen years serving in Congress, the younger Payne compiled a consistently pro-abortion and pro-LGBTQ voting record. Two years ago, after a still-unknown individual leaked the Supreme Court’s draft opinion of the landmark Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision, Payne decried the impending loss of what he called “a woman’s right to choose.” “This absolute tragedy is the direct result of the continued radicalism of the Republican Party and its turn to the far right,” Payne said in a statement blasting the leaked Dobbs draft. “Now, women across the country are in jeopardy of falling backwards to a dark past when access to a safe abortion procedure was difficult or impossible,” he added. “I have always been a proud supporter of a woman’s right to choose.” “Last September, I joined Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives in passing the Women’s Health Protection Act,” Payne said later in the May 2022 statement. “This legislation would guarantee the legal right to an abortion for all women nationwide.” Payne went on: The U.S. Senate must act now to pass this bill and, if necessary, Senate leaders must abolish the filibuster to allow an up or down vote to be held. There is no other action that would rise to the urgency of this moment than doing whatever it takes to pass this bill. The American people are watching and they are counting on us to act. We must not let them down. In 2021, the congressman voted for the pro-LGBTQ “Equality Act” which CatholicVote President Brian Burch at the time called a declaration of “war on all Christians across America.” Burch stated that the bill “denies the very real physiological differences between men and women” further deeming it “a bulldozer against girls[‘] sports.” “The Equality Act explicitly exempts itself from the requirements and protections of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act,” Burch added. “That’s why we call it a War on Religion.” However, the self-professed Christian Payne praised this controversial legislation stating, “This bill would remove an injustice regarding how LGBTQ Americans are treated nationwide.” Payne passed away at the age of 65 last week after having suffered a heart attack earlier this month. Poor man, prayers. I wonder how God will judge Him? I hope mercifully. These poor people have gone so far down their own rabbit holes that they have totally lost touch with the moral basics that they have entered some alternate moral universe were evil is good and good, evil. I watched an interview with Bill Maher a few days ago were he openly admitted that abortion was of course murder but that there was so many billions in the world that killing a few millions was a good thing. His Liberal audience kinda sniggered uneasily. The priests and Bishops should have course have chased these people with a flea in their ears. But in Order for them to do so would require taking a Moral Stand and in order to make a Moral Stand you have to have something to stand on. What he was said was evil. But in a funny kinda way it was honestly evil. No evasions, hypocrisy or lies. Praying for Bill; I suppose he is yet another Apostate Catholic, gone bad and sour like ten year old milk.

Let us pray that some loving Catholics helped him in the end and that he chose to repent and become Catholic. Maybe Sister Wilhelmina was praying for him!! Alleluia!

The Cure of Ars used to go into the congregation at and single out people who were not dressed properly and ask them to leave the Church. This would not have been a problem if they were locals for they knew to dress properly. But they came from all over Francis, including Paris so they would have been in the latest fashions. I don't think St John Vianney would have been unusual in this. But those were very, very different days to now. I would not like to try to correct anyone for anything these days, folks just won't take correction, even children. I pity priests, they must be so careful in what they say.
I used to be angry with the world and what was happening in the church all the time. It made me toxic, but I kept on seeking God. Eventually I had to let it go and trust God. I guess my experience and journey is different. I probably didn't use my anger correctly as it leads me to be judgmental. I have felt a kind of anger before towards my own sins which led me to change my ways though. It's like a certain intensity which drives a motivation to change.
