Unusual Gifts of the Holy Spirit

I definately do not know of any people with the gifts that you describe. are you a part of a charasmatic parish? I do not, and I think these gifts seem to show up more in this environment?

 

I'm not part of a charismatic parish, I used to run a prayer group years ago. But all it takes for the gifts to show up in any environment, is to pray in earnest to the Holy Spirit and ask Him for his gifts so that God may be glorified in one's life.

 

People with these gifts congregrate at Catholic prayer groups within the parish, charismatic label or not. Also healing masses.

One caveat: you may find pretenders and wannabees occasionally. People who think they have gifts but dont, --sort , sift , discern.

 

I know such a person. MAybe the same one. The ministry is really for family healing. I haven't gone to this person myself. I figure if the Lord wants to let me know something or ask me to do something special He will find the way to let me know. I am cautious.
