"U.S. Sen. John McCain, who has repeatedly called on the administration to step up its support of the rebels, said on CNN's Situation Room that the rebels need anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons.

"They need a lot more military assistance," McCain, an Arizona Republican, said, adding that the United States and its allies also need to "establish a 'no-fly' zone to create a safe area" within Syria.

"You can't do it with half measures. You can't do it with just supplying weapons," he said."

    3. The Fires of Syria

    Apr 28th, 2013

    Jesus
How long can the fires of Syria simmer and still be contained? Already these questions are being raised. How long do the other nations allow this to continue? What must he do to draw some response? How many people must die? How many weapons must he unveil? He is demonic, willing to cause others to suffer so he retains power. He will understand nothing except force. Yet, to use force is to provoke others who have an interest in his remaining. Syria is the door to the deeper problems, the greater unraveling of the Middle East, far beyond what anyone suspects.

    Mary
Open your eyes. Steps should have been taken but politics held back the correct response. Now Satan has twisted the whole situation for his own benefit. Syria is a hotbed of evils. Many more powerful nations are in the background. Terrorists have exploited this vacuum of power. The people suffer beyond all imagination. The leader still stands, against all odds, cleverly playing one nation off against another and choosing his friends wisely. Syria is very explosive, more than world leaders imagine. Even if the leader is removed, the seeds of greater evils have been planted.

Does anyone else seem to feel these two posts are like listening to "play by play" on ESPN or something. It is almost like
"heaven" is saying how Syria could have been helped by political decisions..... but no mention of prayer, penance or the usual response one would think in the face of evil. It is almost like guns and bullets could have saved Syria. I am not buying this one.....sorry.

    Mary’s Deepest Sorrows

    May 5

    Mary
Now a word from the deepest part of my heart, a burning word which I must speak as the prophets of old.

The time is shorter than most can imagine. No one knows the series of events, one triggering the next one. First, one country is drawn in and then another, all because the fires of Syria were not quenched at the very beginning.

These fires have burned and burned, melting away the fragile security that did exist in the region. Now, little is left.

Nations face each other, opposing nations who so much want to strike.

In all of this, I am on the sidelines, not looked to and not invoked, not preached as the Mother of Peace nor, in any way, considered an important part of the peace. I have this to say.

Does not Israel belong to me? Did I not purchase the ground with the price of my Son’s blood? Am I not the owner of Jerusalem? Will I not use my city to bring peace to all the world? These are my clear plans that I have spoken about often, but my plans are on hold until the Holy Father openly consecrates Russia to my Immaculate Heart. Then, the events of peace will unfold, one after another. Presently, it is the events of war that unfold, one after another, with no end in sight. What do you want – war or peace? A path of destruction or a path of salvation?

But I agree with you Fatima. Many of the Locutions messages seem too detailed and political.

What I don't understand about these "supposed" locutions or what is happening is this: The only thing keeping the Syrian Christians alive is Assad. Why doesn't the Blessed Mother/Jesus ask for help for their protection? Aren't these her children won by the blood of Christ? Why are we backing al quaida in this conflict, I thought these were the people we are at war with everywhere? I am confused, who are the good guys? the bad guys?

Good point. Revolutions in the Middle East usually spell bad news for the local Christians. We Americans have a history of supporting the wrong guys.

Like in Afghanistan when the Soviets invaded. "Freedom fighters" one day, terrorists the next.

I am still attracted to the Locutions.org messages. I find in them spiritual wisdom and a prophetic voice. But the near future should tell whether that voice is authentic or not.

I'm with you, Phillip. These messages have moved me and have been very enlightening. Every prophet's message carry their personal fingerprints, but that doesn't disprove that they are from God.

Also, we need to remember all the miraculous military victories obtained through the intercession of God the Father in the old testament, and through our Blessed Mother in more recent times.

Mother Mary is the queen of peace, but she is also terrible as an army in battle array to the enemy. For everything, there is a season.

It should perhaps be added that, while the political dimension has raised eyebrows for many readers, much Old Testament prophecy is both detailed and political. So our pre-conceptions about how Heaven should talk can't be considered a 'hard' criterion of discernment ...

This having been said, for all the positives that many of us here have detected regarding the Locutions to the World messages, the major element that requires fulfilment before they can be given real credence is the question of whether Pope Francis will perform the Consecration of Russia. Without that, this is all just talk.

I agree with you Peter (and let's not forget the prophecies about the Pope in Jerusalem too). It is striking though how the locutions predicted that the new Pope would be the Pope of Fatima and Francis immediately contacts the bishop in Portugal and asks that his papacy be consecrated to our lady of fatima. Francis arguably also comes to the papacy with a favorable background with regards to the Jewish people. There was a recent wall street journal article about how Francis is good for the Jews.

From the wsj article: "As it turned out, the College of Cardinals could not have elected a man with a clearer commitment to Catholic-Jewish relations than Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio."

    Locution on February 20, 2013:

"He carries Fatima in his heart. That will be his first gift. He also carries Jerusalem in his heart. That is his second gift. When he has given those two gifts to the Church, his papacy will be completed, just as Benedict’s is now complete."

I was just reading this section of Pope John xxIII's Biography for the umpteenth time.

This section was written while on retreat in 1940 at Terapia , Turkey while on retreat during the Second World War.

    It applies perfectly to Syria.

'1 The Mourning of the Nations.

This cry reaches my ears from every part of Europe and beyond. The murderous war which is being waged on the ground , on the seas and in the air is truly a vindication of Divine Justice because the sacred laws governing human society have been transgressed and violated.

It has been asserted , that God is bound to preserve this or that country , or grant it invulnerability and final victory , because of the righteous people that live there or because of the good that they do. We forget that although in a certain sense God has made the Nations , he has left the Constitution of States to the free decisions of men.. To all he has made clear the rules which govern human society : they are to be found in the Gospel. But he has not given any guarantee of special and privleged assistance , except to the race of believers, that is to Holy Church as such. And even his assistance to his Church , although it preserves her from final defeat , does not guarantee her immunity from trials and persececutions.'

    Isaiah 14:12

How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!
