If it's true that Wilders wanted to ban the Koran in Holland, I wouldn't have voted for him. People of all faiths have to be careful about those who would ban any religion because it could be a case of the Koran today and the Bible tomorrow. That's the reason I'm not impressed with "reformed" Muslims who want to remove controversial passages from the Koran. There's no shortage of self-proclaimed Christians who wouldn't think twice about removing some verses from the Bible. Wilders said in one of the last debates that he did not intend to ban the Koran from the houses. It is just one of those things one might have said, just as Trump did and then afterwards they regret it. But what is important is that only Wilders really seem to realise the big danger behind Islam and he is not afraid of saying it. Wilders has to sleep every night at another spot because he has been several times threatened to be killed. But despite this, he continues to fight for the freedom in The Netherlands. I think that is courageous and unselfish. Wilders also said that Mohammed is not Jesus and that he did not understand those Christians who did not understand the danger of Islam. I agree that we have to be more diplomatic and always keep in mind that Muslims are human beings created by God and that we should respect them and love them, but I also think that the Koran should not be teached in our schools or on public places. The Islam is a lie and because our culture is Christian, it should remain Christian and not be overwhelmed by mosques and Muslim schools and their traditions everywhere, etc. etc. If they do not agree, they should go to a muslim country and stay there. Muslims requested that our 2nd Christmas holiday should be replaced by a Muslim holiday. No way ! Islam is receiving tooo much rights and this is a big danger to all of us. God asks us to remain vigilant and not to endanger the treasure (Christianity) we received from Him. Koran and Bible are completely opposite and it is our duty to protect Christianity and to evangelize.
It was on MOG a video I watched a lady who is muslim herself pointed out the dangers of Islam. She also said that when a group of them get together it is obligatory that they convert Christians or if they won't convert kill them. This will happen in Europe if not stopped now or maybe it is already to late to stop.

Regarding your last point, much did. However, seats also went to a new Muslim party and to other leftists. Apart from the obvious weakening by division, this may indicate less mutual regard for one another amongst the Muslims and other leftists and hence a move to go their own ways. I share your distrust of Wilders. All that appeals to me about him is that he recognises the need for limits to immigration. I would be more hopeful of Le Pen, not so much for herself, but due to the character of her extended family. I like that niece of hers-not ashamed of her Catholicism. Le Pen advocates the banning of the wearing of obvious religious symbols in public institutions. It is obviously targetting the wearing of the hijab and so forth, but obviously will impact on Catholics who wear crucifixes and medals. This is unfortunate, but at least doesn't go so far as Wilders who is actually extending his prejudices into the private sphere. [Edit: having read Elisa's post, I realise this might not be true. So much fake news and propaganda, and the likes of Wilders is not going to ever get anything like a fair press. One must have considerable respect for anyone who risks his life for his cause. I really do think a better answer lies in Europeans re-embracing their own Christian culture, including all its symbolism, and let the Muslims wear whatever they wish.
