I am so loving this message of hope from Our Lady of Good Success, which is essentially the message about the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart, and I am longing for the fulfillment of the message. Some people on this forum are praying a 54 day Novena for its fulfillment, please do join all you holy people.

I also harbor doubts about whether Medjugorje is from above. After my pilgrimage in 2014, when I was much more open to it and looking for a miracle, I have decided not to follow Medjugorje but instead I take an approach relying on messages approved by the local bishops. This comes down to Fatima, Akita, Quito (Good Success), La Salette, Kibeho, Guadaloupe, Zeitoun (Coptic), etc. Regarding Medjugorje, I remain charitable towards followers because you never know, but I sense a certain undertone in the messages to accept the current crisis like people would who are a bit high after smoking too much stuff. Especially, when I hear that Mirjana said the current Pope is exactly the Pope we need. I met Mirjana personally (one of the seers anyway, I think it was her) in 2014 and really liked her, her eyes were radiating. But unless she is being sarcastic here with saying Francis is exactly the Pope we need, I know for myself what to make of Medjugorje, namely to stay away from it nowadays.
Putting aside Kibeho, which forewarned about the Ruanda war, Sr. Agnes Sasagawa is the only seer currently alive (in relation to approved apparitions). Her staunch Warning to cover in ashes and pray a penitential Rosary daily was given on the day the Pachamama synod began 6 Oct 2019. This could be precisely the day when Covid was first released in Wuhan. The fact that Medjugorje etc. had no Warning for us does not surprise me.
On another note, Pater Franz Sales Handwercher, the German miracle priest equivalent to Pater St. Jean Vianney, had 15 visions on 15 Sundays when he was alive in the 1800s. In these visions, Handwercher gave a staunch warning about near destruction of Holy Church, a divine interim judgment, massive deaths on a global scale, and a subsequent resurrection of the Holy Catholic Church coinciding with an age of peace and holiness.
Is the forum aware of Pater Franz Sales Handwercher? His visions are 15 long poems, if I had time, I would translate them.

I was driving home from work today and listening to EWTN and not sure who was talking but heard how God will cut away the dead branches and how if we do not follow His Will, He will allow the consequences of our Will to occur.

Perhaps we need Pope Francis for these things to happen. (n) Just like Trump, love him or hate him, he did cause a lot of people to wake up. ;)

Maybe God sees we need Pope Francis for us to wake up (course some of us have been awake for awhile and in the good way) :)

Okay, thank you so much. Each of Pater Handwercher's 15 poems is long, and the German sublime and old school poetry cannot be easily translated whilst doing justice and not damage to this piece of prophecy from 1830. He was in constant correspondence with the local Bishop Michael Sailer. In his 15 poems, he foresaw mass hospitalisations and deaths, a stop of Church worship globally, and in the end a global triumph of the Christian religion and an era of peace. Here is an English link to Pater Handwercher.

Holy? LOL! Curmudgeonly old Kraut, maybe…

I’m not familiar with which prophecy you refer to. The supposed list of popes?

Yes, the list of popes, which is known as the prophecy of St. Malachi but was actually written later, probably by St. Philip Neri, and published shortly before his death.

I would suggest everyone stay put! Our Good Heavenly Father will take care of us, if not in this short life in the next for eternity. If you look at history His plans are not our plans! He is full of surprises . . .who would have thought of the great flood? Who could have predicted Moses would come on the scene and that God would part the sea? When Jesus came the Jews were expecting a great Messiah with a legion of a vast army to root out the Romans . . .who could have predicted Fatima and the thousands of eye witnesses told in advance by little children they would see a miracle? A miracle of the sun spinning in the sky? We can not imagine what God has in store for us, we only know He Will take care of us. He loves us beyond our comprehension . . .so much He gave his only son for us, and his only son suffered and came to earth for us . . .what marvellous things our Good God has done for us. So, we march on with faith that we can endure whatever is coming in the future. Maybe nothing? Maybe things beyond our wildest expectations. Persevere, that is in the bible. But the greatest miracle of all Will happen because He told us it will come to pass, and Jesus said "I will return". Wow, it would be spectacular if that were in my lifetime. If not, I know He is coming. In the meantime, I am taking it one day at a time, living my life the way God wants me to live it, repenting of my sins, doing the best I can and thank God every minute for giving me the opportunity. Have a Blessed Day!

I was always under the impression that they’re a later forgery, not necessarily authentic. I just read a couple articles online and the consensus seems to be they weren’t authored by St. Malachi but a later writer.

However, I never heard of a possible link with St. Philip Neri before, and I couldn’t find any articles online pointing to such a possible link. Can you elaborate?

Yes, the St. Malachi prophecies are a forgery inasmuch as they appear to be attributed to St. Malachi. They were first published by Arnold Wion in 1595 and were likely written by St. Philip Neri who died in 1595. Here is a link (in German unfortunately) that mentions St. Philip Neri as a possible author.

The first 71 "prophecies", up to Pius V., are ex eventu forgeries. They describe the relevant Popes very accurately, with respect to their coat of arms, for example.
Prophecies 72 to 111 are different in style, more mystical.

St Malachy is the Patron of my Diocese. He was Archbishop of Armagh, Primate of Ireland and a great friend of St Bernard of Clairvaux.

From what I've read of the List of Popes down the years in the books I studied the original list of Popes was much much shorter. Then in the 19th century two young Jesuits God together and cooked the books making up a new list from the old one.

I wouldn't take the list too seriously. You can make such symbols mean anything you want it to mean. It reminds me of horoscopes.
