Intentions

For each of the nine days, our Lord gave Saint Faustina a different intention:

1) All mankind, especially sinners;
2) the souls of priests and religious;
3) all devout and faithful souls;
4) those who do not believe in God and those who do not yet know Jesus;
5) the souls who have separated themselves from the Church;
6) the meek and humble souls and the souls of little children;
7) the souls who especially venerate and glorify His mercy;
8) the souls detained in purgatory;
9) and souls who have become lukewarm.

"I desire that during these nine days you bring souls to the fountain of My mercy, that they may draw therefrom strength and refreshment and whatever grace they have need of in the hardships of life, and especially at the hour of death."

 

I will start Monday through Friday throughout Lent @ 3 am.

Just a note for inclusiveness. I would think that most of the active members live in 9 time zones stretching from Western Europe to the Western USA. So if one was praying in New York at 3am, it is midnight on the West Coast and 8am in Ireland. I think the best time might be 1am in New York. That way, any members in Ireland would be praying at 6am and someone in California would be praying at 10pm. I would think all those times are relatively quiet.

Potatoesack..the exact year I am uncertain but I know it was roughly between 1979 and and 1981. I arrived in Austin in 1977..left in 1984
It has been a very long time ..at least 30 years around there..and to pull up some old shelves from my brain.
With the brain and its seven sins, I cannot get the exact year to pull up right now.

 

So you are saying if others want to join in..1 am is best to increase numbers and to pray in unison?

 

I know this is off the subject..but did anyone see the movie ARGO...I just watched it and it stressed me out so bad, edge of seat movie and one of , if not the best movies ever..US and Iran episode. true story...you should see it!

 

There is some cursing involved. so..but no sex scenes..I will refrain from the rest...it is good history though.
And to top it off my husband had already stressed me out saying again, that for the kids and I to travel was dangerous ..I said people go all the time, no problems and after the warning, they know better, well they should and also the Blessed Mother will protect us. I also said will you please stop inflicting unwanted, unneccessary stress on me! I need a massage right now, bet a short rosary will do the trick!

Agreed. That is why I suggested prayer for all involved, including the sinners in this regard. Whether clergy, or teachers, or in families....

Justice is necessary, and crime must be stopped. However, mercy for all souls is also necessary, according to the command of Jesus. We want the healing of the victims, AND the conversion and repentance of the sinners.

We should never pray the Our Father without concentrating on what we are saying:

"Forgive us our trespasses, AS we forgive those who trespass against US."

Most people at mass and in public rosary put the emphasis on the "WE" in that sentence. Instead, it should be on the "AS"....

In fact, it was also contained in the Gospel reading at Mass, TODAY:
Luke 6: 36 - 38
36 Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.
37 "Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven;
38 give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For the measure you give will be the measure you get back."

 

Today bring me the souls of priests and religious...

 

Today bring to me all devout and faithful souls,
and immerse them in an ocean of My mercy...

Lord, may the drops grow larger hourly and console this ocean of bitterness as You speak, may we continue to glorify Your boundless mercy. Thank you Lord for your compassion and protection.
