I don't listen to RTE news anymore as was evident during the gay referendum the news from RTE is biased and the news is not really the truth. They have hardly reported at all on the PP scandal uncovered in America. It doesn't suit the agenda. The story last year was on Savita ,an Indian lady resident, who they told us died because she was refused an abortion. After investigation it was concluded she died from sepsis. They still trot out the lie that she died because she wasn't given an abortion and I also hear this from members of the government. I am more than aware of the lies being peddled daily as news. It's the same agenda with newspapers. I have decided I am not wasting any more time on listening to lies, or even worse, paying to read rubbish. Life is too short and I am looking after my blood pressure. I well capable of arguing any point with those wishing to engage in discussion. Today a group of young people were handing out leaflets on repealing the clause giving equal right to life to the unborn child with its mother. Initially I walked by and then thought better of it. I went back and asked them how they felt about PP selling aborted baby organs. They said they knew nothing about it. We had a 20 minute discussion /argument. An audience gathered but I was not letting up. In the end they packed up and moved off. I am a shy person but I felt I had to speak up.
I'm not unaware of what's happening around me but I endeavour to keep my peace.

Wow...you confronted them directly...good for you....maybe you opened their eyes...even if they would be loathed to admit it. Planned parenthood is as evil as it gets! Thank you for not walking away from it!

I am the same as you re. the irish media. Its bad enough having to pay the licence fee, but they're not getting advertising on my back.
Sinn Fein were canvassing in my local town today. Like you i passed by at first and then went back to them re abortion. Not even politely interested -bla, bla, bla, we're pro-choice, not pro-abortion, bla, bla, bla.
    Lord have mercy.

I'm just waiting for a politician to show and ask for my vote! They will get an earful. More than they bargained for.

Sinn Fein called at our house before the last election and my wife gave off about their pro-abortion stance.

The man denied they were pro-abortion but his poor face was as red as a beetroot!
