I must admit, Dolours, that the below presentation appears to agree with you. But then I do remember Benedict stating it wasn't an entirely settled matter. I'll have to find a reference for that!

Dolours, what is this "new age" of hope that Pope Benedict is speaking of within your timetable of events? A small list you asked for of what the popes are saying:

A new age in which hope liberates us from the shallowness, apathy, and self-absorption which deaden our souls and poison our relationships. Dear young friends, the Lord is asking you to be prophets of this new age…
—POPE BENEDICT XVI, Homily, World Youth Day, Sydney, Australia, July 20th, 2008

Why is Pope Benedict asking them "to be prophets of this new age", when you declare there to be no new age?

Why not ask [Jesus] to send us new witnesses of his presence today, in whom he himself will come to us? And this prayer, while it is not directly focused on the end of the world, is nevertheless a real prayer for his coming; it contains the full breadth of the prayer that he himself taught us: “Your kingdom come!” Come, Lord Jesus! —POPE BENEDICT XVI, Jesus of Nazareth, Holy Week: From the Entrance into Jerusalem to the Resurrection, p. 292, Ignatius Press

As such, her apparitions herald the proximity of the Day of the Lord, more specifically, Dawn. As St. Louis de Montfort taught:

The Holy Spirit speaking through the Fathers of the Church, also calls our Lady the Eastern Gate, through which the High Priest, Jesus Christ, enters and goes out into the world. Through this gate he entered the world the first time and through this same gate he will come the second time.—St. Louis de Montfort, Treatise on True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin, n. 262

…turning our eyes to the future, we confidently await the dawn of a new Day… As the third millennium of the Redemption draws near, God is preparing a great springtime for Christianity and we can already see its first signs. May Mary, the Morning Star, help us to say with ever new ardor our “yes” to the Father’s plan for salvation that all nations and tongues may see his glory. —POPE JOHN PAUL II, Message for World Mission Sunday, n.9, October 24th, 1999; www.vatican.va

God is not indifferent to good and evil; he enters the history of humanity mysteriously with his judgment that sooner or later unmasks evil, defends its victims and points out the way of justice. However, the goal of God’s action is never the ruin, the pure and simple condemnation or elimination, of the sinner… After purification through trial and suffering, the dawn of a new era is about to break. —POPE JOHN PAUL II, General Audience, September 10, 2003

When will it happen, this fiery deluge of pure love with which you are to set the whole world ablaze and which is to come, so gently yet so forcefully, that all nations…. will be caught up in its flames and be converted? …When you breathe your Spirit into them, they are restored and the face of the earth is renewed. Send this all-consuming Spirit upon the earth to create priests who burn with this same fire and whose ministry will renew the face of the earth and reform your Church. From God Alone: The Collected Writings of St. Louis Marie de Montfort; April 2014, Magnificat, p. 331

We are given reason to believe that, towards the end of time and perhaps sooner than we expect, God will raise up people filled with the Holy Spirit and imbued with the spirit of Mary. Through them Mary, Queen most powerful, will work great wonders in the world, destroying sin and setting up the kingdom of Jesus her Son upon the RUINS of the corrupt kingdom which is this great earthly Babylon. And finally from Mark Mallett: Last, a sign that the Triumph is nearing is the fact that St. John Paul II asked the youth in 2002 to herald it:

I did not hesitate to ask them to make a radical choice of faith and life and present them with a stupendous task: to become “morning watchmen” at the dawn of the new millenniumwatchmen who proclaim to the world a new dawn of hope, brotherhood and peace. —POPE JOHN PAUL II, Novo Millennio Inuente, n.9; Address to the Guanelli Youth Movement, April 20th, 2002, www.vatican.va

But even this night in the world shows clear signs of a dawn that will come, of a new day receiving the kiss of a new and more resplendent sun… A new resurrection of Jesus is necessary: a true resurrection, which admits no more lordship of death… In individuals, Christ must destroy the night of mortal sin with the dawn of grace regained. —POPE PIUX XII, Urbi et Orbi address,March 2nd, 1957; vatican.va

Thanks Mario. I need to read this when my mind is clearer. It's the middle of the night here. I think that the issue may be when Satan was/is chained and what it meant/means for the world, particularly the Church. My issue is about a limited period of peace between the destruction of the AntiChrist (man of sin) and the second coming of Christ. Chaining is not destruction.

And now, lets here from the Church Fathers on this middle coming before the general judgement.

…this day of ours, which is bounded by the rising and the setting of the sun, is a representation of that great day to which the circuit of a thousand years affixes its limits. —Lactantius, Fathers of the Church: The Divine Institutes, Book VII, Chapter 14, Catholic Encyclopedia; www.newadvent.org

    And again,

Behold, the Day of the Lord shall be a thousand years. —Letter of Barnabas, The Fathers of the Church, Ch. 15

They are speaking of that period, after the death of the “beast and false prophet”, [3] but before the final uprising against the Church through “Gog and Magog” (those nations that definitively reject the Gospel). [4] It is that period that St. John referred symbolically to as a “thousand years” when Satan will be chained in the abyss.

It implies a period of time, the duration of which is unknown to men… —Cardinal Jean Daniélou, A History of Early Christian Doctrine, p. 377-378 (as cited in The Splendor of Creation, p. 198-199, Rev. Joseph Iannuzzi

The Church at that time, purified in part by the persecution of the “lawless one”, will experience a New and Divine Holiness through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. It will bring the Church to the height of her royal priesthood, which is the pinnacle of the Day of the Lord.

…they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for [the] thousand years. (Rev 20:6)

We do not preach only one coming of Christ, but a second as well, much more glorious than the first. The first coming was marked by patience; the second will bring the crown of a divine kingdom. The Catechetical Instruction by St. Cyril of Jerusalem, Lecture 15; cf. The Splendor of Creation, Rev. This is confirmed in magisterial statements such as that of a theological commission of 1952 that produced The Teaching of the Catholic Church. [6]

If before that final end there is to be a period, more or less prolonged, of triumphant sanctity, such a result will be brought about not by the apparition of the person of Christ in Majesty but by the operation of those powers of sanctification which are now at work, the Holy Ghost and the Sacraments of the Church. The Teaching of the Catholic Church: A Summary of Catholic Doctrine [London: Burns Oates & Washbourne, 1952] p. 1140

Jesus often taught that “the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” [7] Moreover, He taught us to pray, “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” Thus, St. Bernard sheds more light on this hidden coming.

In case someone should think that what we say about this middle coming is sheer invention, listen to what our Lord himself says: If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him. —St. Bernard, Liturgy of the Hours, Vol I, p. 169

The “kingdom of God” then, is intrinsically tied to the “will of God.” As Pope Benedict said,

…we recognize that “heaven” is where the will of God is done, and that “earth” becomes “heaven”—i.e., the place of the presence of love, of goodness, of truth and of divine beauty—only if on earth the will of God is done. —POPE BENEDICT XVI, General Audience, February 1st, 2012, Vatican City

Because this [middle] coming lies between the other two, it is like a road on which we travel from the first coming to the last. In the first, Christ was our redemption; in the last, he will appear as our life; in this middle coming, he is our rest and consolation.…. In his first coming Our Lord came in our flesh and in our weakness; in this middle coming he comes in spirit and power; in the final coming he will be seen in glory and majesty… —St. Bernard, Liturgy of the Hours, Vol I, p. 169

Bernard’s theology is consonant with the Early Church Fathers who foretold that this rest would come after the death of the “lawless one” ushering in…

…the times of the kingdom, that is, the rest, the hallowed seventh day… These are to take place in the times of the kingdom, that is, upon the seventh day… the true Sabbath of the righteous. —St. Irenaeus of Lyons, Church Father (140–202 A.D.); Adversus Haereses, Irenaeus of Lyons, V.33.3.4, The Fathers of the Church, CIMA Publishing Co.

…when His Son will come and destroy the time of the lawless one and judge the godless, and change the sun and the moon and the stars—then He shall indeed rest on the seventh day… after giving rest to all things, I will make the beginning of the eighth day, that is, the beginning of another world. —Letter of Barnabas (70-79 A.D.), written by a second century Apostolic Father

AMEN AND AMEN to scripture to conclude what Dolours asked for.

I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast or its image nor had accepted its mark on their foreheads or hands. They came to life and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years. (Rev 20:4)

Now, both Mac and Aviso called this middle Era of Peace heresy. Aviso even calling me out as a heretic for supporting all I have posted, responding with Papal writings, writings of Church Fathers, Church teaching and scripture. If you would like to show me where my heresy is, I will be happy to read it against all I have posted on behalf of Mark Mallett's great research who some have ridiculed and some have refused to accept his writings without even reading them.

  18. This is what I found on Father Joe's site about what has been approved by the Church,

In 2012 Rev. Iannuzzi successfully completed his doctorate in theology at the Gregorian Pontifical University of Rome, and he has translated into English all of Luisa’s writings that are cited in his doctoral dissertation and are approved by the Pontifical University that is authorized by the Holy See. http://www.ltdw.org/about-fr-joe.html
Does this mean that his interpretations of Luisa's writings have been approved by the Church or just his translations of them to English? Or does this mean the Pontifical University approved his dissertation but does that mean that his work has the Church's approval because the University is authorized by the Holy See? In addition, have Luisa's writings been approved by the Church? IMHO, her writings appear to be from Heaven but I don't interpret them the way that Father Joe has. I honestly believe that Luisa Piccarreta is speaking of the Second Coming.[/QUOTE]
Well, Fr. Iannuzzi's dissertation which was approved is titled "The Gift of Living in the Divine Will in the Writings of Luisa Piccarreta". The writings of Luisa cited in his book are his translations of them into English. So he's been permitted to do both....translate and explain or interpret in the light of Church teachings. The cause of Luisa Piccarreta is currently at the Vatican.

By this means, this dissertation establishes a link between the theology of the early ecumenical councils, patristic theology, the scholastic theology of Aquinas, the contemporary theology of Rahner, and Luisa's text for a proper geological orientation of the Christian faithful in their devotion to the Divine Will as articulated in the writings of the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta.

So in connecting all of these dots within the Church and Luisa's writings he has come to certain interpretations which include the coming Era of living in the Divine Will as the "Interim" coming; not the "Final" Coming. In his other writings he compares the time period coming just before this New Era (with its spiritual coming of Christ in a Eucharistic age) with the period coming before the Final Coming. So the "Comings" of Christ are His First, His "Interim" coming/spiritual coming/Eucharistic coming within the Era of the Divine Will (as Luisa's writings refer to), and His Final Coming.

    The Necessity of the writings:

    Jesus: My daughter,

....The time in which these writings will be made known is relative to and dependent on the disposition of souls who wish to receive so great a good, as well as on the effort of those who must apply themselves in being its trumpet-bearers by offering up the sacrifice of heralding in the new era of peace, the new sun that will dispel the clouds of all evils.

......The call of the soul to the order, place and purpose for which God created it.

IOW, the Father's Will for His kingdom to come on earth did not change after the fall. It was again made possible by the New Adam and New Eve and then those living in this same Will.

Thus her writings apply for those who will usher (herald) in the new era of peace in a renewed earth. Her writings were to educate souls about the Divine Will in order for them to enter into this new era in which this Will can be done on earth, in the recreated man (living hosts of the Divine Will) and the renewed earth.

If others have read this dissertation may they offer their own explanations.

Dolours, I can understand how you feel. But according to early Church fathers, Saints, and seers, there is to be an intermediate coming. The antichrist today in my opinion is Masonry and Communism. The destruction of both these forces will bring the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. There may be a man today that is considered an antichrist. He may be powerful enough to push the right buttons to energize communist's worldwide. But the Antichrist at the end of the world is the devil incarnate. I do believe we will have an era of peace, before the last antichrist.

I agree this is possible, as scripture and saints say he will deceive even the elect, but it also seem very possible that the anti christ will arise in our time, after many people in the church have lost their faith and he will persecute the remnant...
