The writing on the wall Today I was asked to help out in a friends parish hall serving tea and coffee after mass and adoration..well on arriving at the hall (I have never been there before) I started to wash cups, fill kettles etc I noticed whilst putting out chairs and tables that the hall was a bit dark and stuffy so I started to open a few windows on one of the walls was two large red curtains about 20 ft by 10 ft, I assumed that the curtains were a large window so I said to myself I will open these and let some light in well I think my last statement is the biggest statement of all, I sure did let the light in, as I pulled the curtain back I was completely awe struck as this is what I found behind the curtain,,look at what words are wrote in the book that Jesus holds I’m still shaking… View attachment 1116
Oh Glenn you missed the first message love your enemies... to answer your question hopefully not too soon I'm not ready yet
Once a family loaded up Grandpa, who was well over a hundred, and took him to the Baptist church on father's day. The planted him on the front row. The preacher gave a barn-burner about heaven - the magnificence of it all, streets lined with gold, and so on. When he had everyone worked up to a fever pitch, he cried out, "Now, who wants to go to heaven?" Everyone raised his hand but Grandpa. The preacher thought, "He can't hear me." So he leaned in close to the old man and yelled, just for him, "Who wants to go to heaven?" Everyone raised his hand but Grandpa. The preacher couldn't stand it, so he got right in the man's face and screamed, slowly, "Don't you want to go to heaven?" Grandpa said, "Yes sir, I do." "Then why didn't you raise your hand?" "Oh, sorry. I thought you were getting a load up right now." Everyone wants to go to heaven, but very few want to go today.
