I don't believe St Paul lost his sight because of a meteorite. It does not hold water because he was not alone when it happened, and the others were not blinded. Just as a point of view, I wonder if Pauls blindness while leaving him utterly dependant on those who had to help him, was permitted by God because Paul/Saul was greatly feared. As a blind man, he was tame as a lamb, helpless as a baby. He needed to process all that had been revealed to him by Jesus. But everyone else was terrified of him. He was like a bin laden to the Christians of his time, initially they feared him and did not trust him. IMHO
