The warning second coming

Padraig, you are right. When I first read these messages, I took them very seriously (I have very influential people in my faith community who insist they are authentic). My anxieties and fears were so heavy that I almost lost my faith. My understanding of a compassionate and merciful God was disillusioned into a vengeful, punitive and unforgiving deity. I wouldn't want to believe in a God like this.

Thankfully, God corrected my impressions subsequently, by leading me to Gospel text (particularly Lamentations 3:22-23: "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is Thy Faithfulness, O Lord."), and also the writings of St. John of the Cross who advices prudence on private messages.

I have since returned to the Arms of a loving God. My point is that because of these messages, I almost lost my faith.
This led me to be suspicious of their origin.

 

This is the problem.

I know of a very devout, holy Catholic couple with a large young family who are currently seling their farm to move into a new Catholic Commune which may or may not find its roots in 'apparitions'. I know At least one priest is concerned. They brought up their family through home schooling so sincere are they.

Their mother has been to see the Cardnial to complain with no result.

But maybe they are doing a good thing, selling the farm and giving the money away. But its a really, really big move and requires huge discernment..and its worrying...

So I think there is a huge onus here in discernment but especially on those who proclaim the message, a responsibilty not only to oneself but others.

 

Pray The Divine Mercy Chaplet as often as we can especially at 3pm.every day and The Rosary at this time to save and convert sinners all over the world for Jesus the Saviour before it will be too late. Please spread the word, thank you.One Divine Mercy alone can do so much.We can discuss Warnings and Chastisements all day and they will come upon us soon, so lets get on our knees now and try at least to stave off the evil and the wrath of God that lays before us!

I believe you Maria, I believe these are warnings given to us by Jesus, out of great love and mercy for His children.

Why do I believe? 1. Because they are so relevant to me, living across the ocean and I can see clearly everything He is saying is true. True about the new world order, true about satanic influence in the American culture, true about the chaos in nature, the earth quakes, floods, fires and so on, true about the lack of faith that we all see in ourselves and those around us and so on. It is all true.

2. I believe because the messages encourage me to worker harder and be stronger in my faith. To visit the Blessed Sacrament more often and to say that one extra rosary each day. To take the state of my own soul and to go to confession more seriously and to beg for God The Father's mercy.

3. I found myself attracted to these messages like a moth to the flame and find the purity in them hard to breath in. So like a child I could only take them in small sips.

4. These messages are spreading like wildfire across America, just like they are suppose to. Only the Holy Spirit can achieve that. Like wildfire right now.

5. Also I feel these messages are the real deal because I have been more attacked after reading them and spreading them than I have been in 19 years. If they weren't from Jesus why would this be happening?

God bless you Maria and thank you for being the instrument that you are in helping "millions convert" His words about the messages. Know that they are going out across America and I pray that God will help us make it to the very end of our good fight. I don't know but in my heart I feel they are from Jesus and so I am all in.

The above is from Maria, posted on this thread on May 31, 2011. It appears this has not happened. Or if it has, please someone, post who has been assassinated here please.

I do still watch her site. i still read the latest posts. In March, it said it would be only "weeks" before the warning. On one of the latest posts, it now says "a few months". It has already been a few months since she said it would be only weeks. So, that latest thing didn't sit well with me. Plus, her grammar is quite bad in many of her messages, which always bothers me though I try to overlook it. Why would God allow her to have so many grammatical errors in the messages? She is english, so it is not a translation problem. When you read other messages from Mary or Jesus, the grammar/spelling/tense is usually very good. As a writer this just annoys me.

It says the message is spreading, to young people especially. Well, that is because she (or someone she knows - one of the helpers mentioned in the messages perhaps) has started a Facebook page. Good move on her part, I suppose. The link to it is right there, under her "Donate" button. I wonder how much money she is receiving in donations? Maybe with that money she could hire an editor to proofread her messages before she posts them.

Sorry, but though I am continuing to follow the messages, I have actually become very disallusioned with the latest ones. They have lost their urgency lately, like she has put the brakes on because some of them have not happened like she said they would. She is creating diversions now, like the Facebook page. It is an easier way to be notified when she posts a new message though...I'll give her that. I will continue to monitor, as I am a hopeless hint-hunter, and am never afraid to speculate on even the most crazy possibilities. She seems to believe in herself...I pray for her and hope for the sake of her soul that this is not Satan having a field-day.

 

Not only grammatical errors, MC, but also doctrinal errors. She claims to have been given instruction to write a book that 'will save millions'. This usurps the place of the Sacred Scripture by alleging to draw souls to Christ.
When I read those messages, I only find worldly sensationalism, mixed (sadly) with grains of truth. Jesus or Mary in true apparitions speak very profoundly and with holiness, and there is depth and insight into the message.
The assassinations didn't happen, simply because the messages are false. The visionary, Maria, should stop immediately promoting these messages. If she doesn't she will have to personally account for each soul led astray.

I just went skimmed through this thread and noticed the quote function has somehow malfunctioned. In older posts blocked off quotes have appeared where none were before making it difficult to separate my comments from the quotes. I noticed this has happened to other posters as well. How weird. I suppose I ought to go back and edit for readability.

Sorry I didn't explain this quote. What I find worrying in many alleged visionaries of today is the lack of obedience to the Church, or lack of mention of that obedience. If you read St. Faustina's diary, you will realize how important the Lord stresses on obedience to spiritual directors, priests, the Church. I don't read that in these new messages which always makes me remember the above quote. It's not difficult to fabricate humility but obedience to the Church is the real test. Here's another message from the Lord to St. Faustina:

‎"I have come to do My Father's will. I obeyed My parents, I obeyed My tormentors and now I OBEY MY PRIESTS." (Jesus to St Faustina, Diary 535)

Is there even a mention of obedience to priests anymore???

All through the stories of the lives of the Saints, obedience is always first and foremost. And yes, it is good to remind everyone that a proper religious would be obedient first, above all other things, to their Church and to their order, if they are in one. Big case in point on the topic of Fr. Corapi, in fact.

 

As far as I am concerned the jury is still out on maria the European seer.
I am not aware of her being disobiedient to the church and its possible to nit pick everything but I think you should leave her alone. From my reading she is not advising anyone to go against the Pope or the church. In fact the main message I gor from her site was to pray and confess and prepare. There are many prophesies quoted on this website some are being questioned by the church and we are all prepared to live and let live and take what is good but this seer seems to be under attack. I think if you dont accept then thats fine leave it at that.
I think just pray for this woman and for all those who receive messages that they will be protected from Satan.

I joined this forum to specifically be involved with this discussion.
There is so much content posted with regards to various feedback, personal analysis - I could take several days responding to certain points people have made of the messages invalidity - as I am certainly a believer rather than a skeptic.
@Luellen - I appreciate your points very much. The goodness these messages bring out of me is wonderful.
Even just on this page - people who are skeptics say the exact opposite like @brokenachord & to an extent previous posts from MomsCalling...
I've experiences virtually the opposite to BrokenChord... the messages themselves talk about people denying them because they do not fit in within their own understanding of faith - & of God and the nature of what is install for us in the next life - the eternal life of our Soul.
I find great joy - I don't feel a loss in faith at all I see myself as a follower of all Catholic Doctrine - and this site - through the words of Jesus, brings it all together - into real time means of what is happening around us.
The earlier posts of skepticism about the validity of the grammar and the tone of the words coming from Jesus - I found quite peculiar. The reasoning for rejecting it on the basis of using "Stupid" - I found very bias. The context of that aguement was based on Jesus, calling one of he's children - Stupid. BUT no, the context that it was written, was about the very group that is imprisoning the world - the group of children that is waging war on against God and He's Children... Jesus talks about the 'Stupid' decision these people have made in thinking that they have the power by residing and placing their faith in Satan.. against all the warnings - against all the written word within He's Father Book of Life.. even after all this - they continue to be prideful - to be ultimately stupid in siding with Satan and choosing to oppose the Love, the patience and ultimate Justice of God the Father - instead choosing to fight for their own fortune on the side of Satan. I'd say, in keeping with communicating through such a medium - talking to children of this day - about the biggest evil in this world today - I;d say it was very apt to call this group and the people that have sided with it - as being 'stupid'.
Also, many people have talked about the lack of reference to prayer.... ??? Again I find this strange. It's all about prayer in my eyes... I downloaded the pdf book upto February quite early - and all within that - and the subsequent messages - Jesus talks about "The Divine Mercy Chaplet"... adoration... The Rosary... all the time! Adoration is a marvellous sacrament! The Rosary the most powerful! What dark force would promote this? Also, you must keep in mind, as Maria has said, this calling came from no where... I have persoanlly been in contact with her.. and she was running her own business - no real time for this.. no real time for adoration.. but this whol eexperience has changed her life! This has been a journey as much for us reading it, as it has been for her writing it!
Also, for the people who accuse her of her poor grammar... I can only smile, as this reminds me of the friends I have had over the years that are into very much human things of law enforcement - poetry and psychology. The paradox of the argument is that you accuse her of not being the true voice/scribe of Jesus, as He would never allow her to deliver He's messages with such spelling mistakes etc - while you also pick on the use of the word 'Stupid'... AND yet some of the greatest Saints like St. Faustina were well known to be not the most intelligent - and yet were asked to be the pen of some of the most important Catholic texts of all time... In a way you say she is errant in using the word 'stupid', but also you call her in a way stupid due to her lack of scholarship... St. Faustina needed her Diary to be edited as she was a self confessed poor student - a miserable soul - yet God chose her to communicate to the world about Divine Mercy! Likewise, Maria has been used, for this very reason - the reluctant scholar.. a person who isn't tuned to or even bothered with the righteousness of 'grammar'! Rather just the validity of the content and message! I mean in her 'about' she spells Divine - as "Devine" in places... do you think I'm worried about that? No Also, you say she is possibly in Europe and that they may spell things slightly different - well no.
I have enjoyed reading the comments, I have only read about 5% of the total though - so I look forward to reading and responding to some more soon...
I'd like to finish though regarding prayer - which Maria talks about extensively in my view. Jesus asks about prayer groups... etc. Contrary to a lot of the skeptical views posted on this website. The key I see is the need for prayer for discernment. Also, in prayer, particularly through Adoration, the messages are above all & clearly about LOVE. This Warning will be the greatest act of LOVE our loving God, Creator will give to mankind. I am happy - as I know Jesus' children will have the opportunity to choose. Simple & with complete Justice. This is in keeping with Catholic faith... the faith that we understand that has always told us that the this world will come to an end... Why is it so hard to believe that it would happen in our life time? It had to happen some time.. and the world, through it's technologies of weaponary & communication - that time has never been more able to fulfill Revelation. The idea and concept in our faith of a Merciful and Loving God - is all contained within the Messages.. The idea of Job and Sodom & Garmorrah comes to mind... BUT our world would appear soooo much worse! Our God has been very patient contrary to some comments on this forum...
And finally - with regards to the assassinations - who said this was to be done by God? Or specifically allowed by God? Do you not see that the last 100 years has been given to the deceiver!? Since Pope Pius' vision of 1884.. since the start of the 1st world war - 1914! Since the creation of the FED in 1913.. since Fatima 1917.... The list goes on through the 1930's... 40's... 50's, 60's & 70's... and then since the 1980's things have gotten so bad that I think we have only been allowed to continue because of the immense and 'unfathomable" love God has for us - and He's immense revered respect He has for our 'Free Will'. BUT through the Divine Mercy & then through He's ultimate Divine Justice - these things must pass. And we, as He's faithful Children must rejoice.. as we through our faith have been saved! I personally do not care of the calamties that may or may not be destowed upon me... I - for many years have prayed - and kept a close relationship with God.. a personal relationship - which by my own experiences, is not too dissimilar to the language used by Maria. To say that it is not 'heavenly' language is far too bias on pushing similar lines of arguments as per the 'protestants' & only being able to seek revelation through the Bible. Our Lord is alive amongst us though! And as we communicate, as the people of the World Communicate - he talks to all of us... from the Getto, to Wall Street.. to the Outback to the hills of the Himalayas! He wants us to approach Him like little humble Children - not scholars of wise men! Turning human reasoning on He's words that have always remained the same... Truth in He's words has always remained. An end to this world has always been as truthful as to the battle between Good & Evil and the very nature of God's adversary and the weaknesses of humanity. Our Souls have always been fought for - as much as we have always had free will - and an eternal Soul! Time to rejoice is here! No to sweep the warnings aside that are world wide!
In no message have I read that the assassinations would occur within 'weeks'! This is plainly a lie - and at best a miss quote... The only time definition has been 'soon' or only a "few months away"... Keep in mind though that PRAYER is rewarded & can starve of disasters... and interrupt the plans of evil! Just always be prepared... pray for poor sinners... This message has remained true since John's day - till now. The only ones who need to fear are those that do not believe or have chosen to side with the Satan. And this is a reality.. a sad reality - but God allows this as we all have a free will - and Satan has been given 100 years as a test on mankind to try and destroy Jesus Church.. this is why He has always used He's faithful to fight the battle.. from Popes down to the communities of faithful around the world - each spreading the word in a specific yet controlled to always maintain truth.
God Bless you all - and as I'm sure most if a skeptic now - will remain a skeptic - I just ask you to keep tabs on the messages as if they are by a person other than from Jesus - this person is a "genius" to say the least - as they have managed to encompass the broadest content of past Catholic Teaching within an ongoing message based system that I have everr seen... which all add up to teaching us to continuously pray, to continuously be ready.. to pray for the Pope.. to pray for the Church.. to pray for the sinners.. and organised Evil in the world to make a mends! BUT on the other hand, if they are from Jesus - you will soon realise how massively privileged you are to live in a time that Jesus can & chosen to communicate to He's children in such a way! How luck you should consider yourself. The negatives of following is in my understanding naught! I pray more, I am comforted. I feel relaxed.. I feel loved! And the benefits if true - is that you are prepared! You will be able to discern the orchestrated attacks of the Church, that has always been written about in the Bible.. but now we understand the dynamics of the players.. and their intentions... Mind you, before 8th November 2010 - if you were not aware of such an evil force within the worlds governments - playing the hidden hand you would be fairly green and possibly have never heard of other such visionaries such as Fatima, La Salette, Lourdes etc plus a host of other seers and saints that have been apart of many apparitions. One that is not that well known is Bl. Alexandria from Portugal. She was a Saint to be of the Eucharist.. Her messages are said to be a continuation of Fatima... She came from a time that Portugal was a Catholic country - yet in grievous trouble... She did help for a period to bring the people back, but look what has happened in that country since 1955! If you doubt we are living in the end times - just consider Portugal! And this is not of God's doing - just like the assassinations soon to come are not of God's doing! They are through the sin of man, and he's rejection of he's God and the choices he makes to side with Satan for money power and greed! This as we know comes to an end! And how happy will God's Children of faith be when that Glorious day were evil is defeated! This is what makes me relaxed.. happy that through Jesus and He's Divine Mercy - He will perform the greatest act of Divine Intervention in the history of the world - when we need it the MOST! For our Salvation! This is immense Love.. that has been written about since before Jesus birth - but is now being brought to our attention again through modern means... Through the Web. Through a person that is a common person - who has intellectual humility - rather than someone who brings humanistic scholarship that can often blind man of the truth...

Well, I feel a little scolded, to say the least. I do go back and forth wildly on this subject, I do continue to follow her site, but I also put great respect in the very wise and discerning people here on this forum. Many here are very holy in my opinion, and some have locusions of their own, and very personal relationships with God and with Mary. Many on this forum are faced with evil in their daily lives, and easily recognize satan's work and his presence within people and messages. When they put up a flag of caution, I think it is worth considering. So its hard, and I am still on the fence. :?

Just to answer a couple of your queries, please read below a post made by Maria, who says she is the visionary in question. She made this and other postings, I believe on page 3 or 4 of this thread. We began discussions with her, and some of the more skeptical members expressed their doubts and concerns for her, which is their right, and said they would pray for her. Shortly after, she told us she was forbidden to be here any longer and abruptly left us to our own speculations.

This post was made on May 31, 2011. As you see, she says she IS European, and it was she who said the assasinations would happen within one month. Since this was stated on May 31, that would mean it should happen by the end of June. Perhaps, she did this by her own interpretation of a message that was incorrect, but you see, we are used to visionaries not doing that. In Medjugorje, the visionaries never speculate or add their own predictions or opinions in this manner, so we took this as coming from her source. It did not happen. This did not help her position here with the skeptical members.

Something else she says here - that she has no interest in generating any kind of revenue from this. Shortly after leaving this forum, a "Donate" button appeared on her site. I think it was this statement that caused some of us to raise an eyebrow. Sure, many ask for donations, and that in itself may not be a big thing, but it did capture our attention because of her statement above.

Anyway, I understand your frustration in our negative discussions, but I wanted you to know that they are not arrived at lightly, and that words she herself posted were responsible for at least a few of the doubts.

I do feel bad about attacking her grammar, perhaps I should not have done that. It may only be her pen that creates this issue. But again, we compare hers to other messages being received in the world today that we feel are credible, and this was just something that stood out. But, I have a daughter who is dyslexic, so I of all people should not throw stones at someone who isn't a scholarly writer. I am sorry for doing that.

Most of the members of this forum believe very strongly in the Warning, the Miracle, and the tribulation/chastisements. In fact, many people are getting antsy on their own, "feeling" themselves that it will happen very soon, perhaps this year. We hang on every message given by our Blessed Mother at Medjugorje, we wait and watch at Garabandal, and we post messages from other seers too. Maria is certainly not the only one who is either implying or actually saying it will happen very soon. But many are getting on the bandwagon, so to speak, and so we are just being VERY careful who we follow, and who we recommend. All of us should do that. All of us have feelings and opinions about certain visionaries and this forum is one place where we can voice them peacifully and debate them with others whose opinions we respect. We will continue this here, and we invite anyone to join us in a peaceful debate. Please read through our many discussions, and we welcome your input and your insights as well as Maria's. Our moderator reserves the right do end hostile discussions - and so the Mother of God Forum continues. Though sometimes we may be distracted from our mission, it still is to promote Mary's message of peace, prayer, and fasting, and to convert and help others to convert - to bring people to her Son.

 

I think , 'Maria' who is still a member of this forum though no longer posts mentioned she was from Dublin, Ireland and is a buisnesswoman.

As far as the seer goer, Lawrence for myself the door is still open and I am open to the possibility they may be true, though I have grave reservations.

In the question of Apparitions and messages generally the scriptural injunction to, 'Discern the spirtis' if they are from God still holds. The Church herself does this when she investigates such events. This isn't really , 'attacking' the visionary or the messages but investigating them. DIscussion of such events on a forum such as this is one way of doing so.

Generally I think and hope the tone of the discussion of these events on this forum has been charitable and kind. Being open is one thing, but being gullible quite another for I would say well over 98% of such claims on the internet at the minute are false , some of them downright dangerous.

I myself for instance always believed in Medugorje and always will as the biggest Marian apparition event in the history of the CHurch so far. My mother and father never did, right up to their deaths and my father was particulary negative about it. But they were both very good Catholics, not being in any way malicious and as the Church teaches we are not bound to believe such things especially when not approved by the Church. I know from PMs I recieve that others on the forum do not believe in Medugorje which is their perfect right. Even when such apparitions are approved by the CHurch she places no compulsion on us to believe , even for such outstanding sites as Lourdes and Fatima.

There can be a danger of inculcating an, 'Us and them' attitude about such things ,considering that those who do not believe are al malicious or badly motivated. But these are neither dogmas or teachings of the Church, so we are free to come down either way. This results in very many bad tempered and angry exchanges on Catholic sites regarding such matters which is so very sad.

In either case my favourite quote on such issues is that of Rabbi Gamiliel ( who I understand some Eastern Churches have declared to be a saint) in Acts 5;

33 When they heard this, they were furious and wanted to put them to death. 34 But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, who was honored by all the people, stood up in the Sanhedrin and ordered that the men be put outside for a little while. 35 Then he addressed the Sanhedrin: “Men of Israel, consider carefully what you intend to do to these men. 36 Some time ago Theudas appeared, claiming to be somebody, and about four hundred men rallied to him. He was killed, all his followers were dispersed, and it all came to nothing. 37 After him, Judas the Galilean appeared in the days of the census and led a band of people in revolt. He too was killed, and all his followers were scattered. 38 Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go!
