Excuse me that I would like to ask here briefly. I usually don't write anything because I can't express what I mean well enough. But here I have a reading respectively understanding problem what you see as nonsense. Irlmaier's prophecies are nonsense? I personally give him credit. But your point of view is of course completely okay. Or do you think flooding caused by a bomb is nonsense? This scenario is not nonsense, I think. As far as I know, Russia has developed a bomb respectively a torpedo for precisely this purpose. Google will probably present search results in English too, if you search for terms like "Torpedo Poseidon", "Torpedo Status-6" or "Khabarovsk Projekt 0895".
This Prophesy of a Massive Tsunami which will hit the West Coast of the USA and the Coast lines of Europe comes in fact from several Catholic sources. My best guess would be either and Asteroid which hits in Mid Atlantic or a Landslide at La Palma:
I believe "gifts" can exist in families as well, sometimes skipping generations, as in mine: my grandma and me. I'll share a story for each of us in a second. But I want to emphasize that any and every true gift comes from God and must always be seen as such. When we start to think it's our own doing, we get in trouble. And there are "gifts" that come from evil spirits, which is why we must be so careful to avoid all that the Bible and Church condemns. In the case of gifts from God, I believe there are two main kinds: direct gifts of the Holy Spirit, and "gifts" that come from a very sensitive and intuitive personality given by God, Who is the One who works through both. A story from my grandma: When she was a younger mom and my dad and his brother Chris were boys, they had a well on their land. One night she dreamed that Chris had fallen in the well and drowned. In the dream, he was wearing orange shorts, which she clearly remembered upon waking. So when she got up, she went to his dresser and removed his pair of orange shorts, hiding them in her own drawer, in the back. Later that day, Chris went missing, and my grandma immediately knew to run to the well, where she found him hanging on for dear life. She pulled him out, and amazingly, he was wearing the orange shorts! Apparently earlier in the day he'd had an accident, and since his siblings were in the kids' room and he was embarrassed to change in front of them, he went to his parents' dresser and rummaged around trying to find something he could wear...leading him to find the hidden orange shorts. There were many stories like this, of prophetic dreams and feelings my grandma had. As for me, I've had countless stories as well, but I'll tell the earliest one (I don't remember this, but my mom told me the story many times): When I was 2 years old, my parents separated. My mom took me and went two states away to live with a family friend, while my dad stayed behind in the Air Force. One day, my mom and I were at the grocery store, and out of nowhere, I said very seriously, "Daddy is going to die." My mom was a bit stunned and asked, "What did you say?" I repeated gravely, "Daddy is going to die." She was so shocked by my words and manner that she took me completely seriously, packed up all of our stuff, and drove us back to my dad that very day. Upon arriving, my mom discovered that my dad had gotten into some very serious gambling and gotten badly into debt. Apparently that night he had plans to borrow a large amount of money from some dangerous people, but our arrival stopped him from doing so. My mom firmly believed that something bad would have happened to my dad if we hadn't stopped him. And, my parents ended up back together.
'Divination', is something utterly different from Dowsing, I believe. This is not so much Church Teaching as it's teaching applied in a certain kind of way to a particular topic, I believe mistakenly. But this is one of the those things people have already made their minds up on, so I wouldn't try to deconvince the already utterly convinced.
Another good example of , 'Outside the box' , stuff comes from the Bible with the, ' Nephilim'. giants that Scripture teaches came about through angels having sex with humans. Scripture of course is Inerrant. But its one of those things we wold find difficult to place in any kind of box.
Wonderful stories. When we were young we moved into a creaky old house in Atlantic Avenue. At very top of the house was a little box room were the previous occupant , Mr's Nightingale, used to live. Since the house was very overcrowded with children nearly every one of s tried to claim that room as their own, but no one ever stuck it. I tried it myself but only lasted one night. When my mother asked me why I told her it was haunted. She was annoyed as she had had it specially decorated for me moving in. It went back to being a store room and it was always a store room all the years we lived there. I can only describe the atmosphere going into that room as being like going into a fridge you could feel the temp fall ten degrees..and a feeling if hostility , of not being wanted. I never felt happy about going into that room, even as an adult on my own. But it was a puzzle . Mr's Nightingale still got letters and magazines from Catholic Missionary Societies for years and seemed to have been a very good Catholic. But years and years later I happened to be having a drink with a next door neighbour, Mr's Mooney who had known Mr's Nightingale for years. She described her to me as a very bad woman indeed with a truly terrible reputation in the Parish..
Yes, with a sensitive nature you pick these things up about people and places. I've crossed paths with people that I knew nothing about but could feel the evil pressing on my heart in their presence. One such person was the husband of my aunt's good friend. I met him as a teenager once when my parents brought me along to a country-western dance class they were all attending. I felt a very unsettling repulsion the moment his eyes met mine, which happened a few times throughout the evening. It weighed on me for a while afterwards. A few weeks later, I overheard my mom talking with my aunt about her friend and that husband. Apparently they had come to attend my cousin's baptism but the husband had to exit the church after a minute because he "felt very uncomfortable" inside the church. The wife had been shocked by his behavior. Very soon after, he informed his wife that some friends of his had convinced him to quit his job and move his family to join them in a community, which turned out to be some kind of cult. I'm not sure how that all turned out, but I felt very unsurprised to hear that about him. On the other hand, one can sense great goodness in people and places, as well, which is a wonderful thing to experience.
Please apologize my language, I will try to tone down. What I was trying to say is this: Irlmaier had gifts at a personal level, for example he protected people in Rosenheim during an air raid telling them to move away from the bunker door. That entrance of the bunker got hit by a bomb during that raid. Whether Irlmaier's gifts come from God or the demons, I don't know. But at the political level, things are different. It is questionable whether he made any prophecy at all, or whether it all comes from Adlmaier, his publisher. I have personally decided to treat Irlmaier with great caution now, after years of following him, especially around the time of my initial conversion to Catholicism around ten years ago.
Yes Padraig, As an American that’s why I want them to be true. It seems God has mercy on our poor country.
I have the highest respect for America, because Americans are fighting back, very strongly against the evil that is overcoming the world. The fact that they are fighting back may maybe make it seem things are worse , but in fact they are much better than elsewhere. Many other Nations , such as Ireland have pretty well given in.
That is one of the reasons why America is so well hated (including be many of your fellow Americans) is because they are doing this. They are putting up a fight.
Padraig, you are correct. So many in our country, hate our country. It is so heartbreaking to watch what has become of our once great nation that stood proudly for freedom, and protection of religious freedoms. Of course, it must be very hard on you as well to see very Catholic Ireland become not so Catholic anymore. Heartbreaking!
I didn't know that the Church doesn't approve of dowsing. It's not unusual in this country for someone building a house to call in a dowswer before digging a well. Like Padraig, I assumed that it had something to do with physics. Then again, we get so much rain here, maybe it would be harder to miss a source of water underground than to find it. I'm a sceptic on superstitions like the seventh son of a seventh son having the gift of healing. I have vague memories from my youth of older people having some odd superstitious beliefs. They were usually connected with healing minor ailments, especially warts. One of the weirdest cures for warts was burying a rasher of bacon. I can't recall whether the rasher had to be buried at a crossroads. There was also something about a seventh daughter of a seventh daughter. I don't recall what was their special gift - maybe she was the one to bury the rasher . I'm inclined to agree with Michael Pio that there's far too much attention on private revelation these days. Some of the obsession with unapproved revelation seems to be a kind of fortune telling for the pious.
I agree that probably a lot of the sevnth son stuff may be nonsense. But on the other hand I wonder about something like the tales of the Banshees (The woman ghost) who is heard crying in the night as a warning that someone in the family is about to die. I think there may be some turth in that. I was listening to Fr Ripperger tonight in a couple of talks. I have such a huge respect for the priest and was struck at him mentioning Private Revelations on several occasions. Mother Angleica in her talks often referenced Private Revealation as did Archbishop Sheen. Pretty well all modern Popes vistited Faitma...
