He's the Cardinal who wrote a book explaining how, according to Amoris Laetitia, it would be sinful for a woman to leave her adulterous union because it might leave her non-spouse depressed and his wife's children motherless so she should be given Holy Communion despite remaining in a sexual relationship with the man whose lawful wife is still living. Not surprisingly, he chickened out of attending the event to launch his own book. We might as well face up to the truth that there are members of the hierarchy who have fallen away from the faith. At best they are heretics but as time goes on it looks more and more like the only Catholic belief they hold is the authority of the Pope - but only the current Pope because all his predercessors, including St. Peter, weren't merciful enough to understand that Jesus would have delivered a new, politically correct message had He walked the earth in our time. Hypocritically, they would cite Sacred Scripture and Tradition to justify the only Church teaching they demand be observed by all. Perhaps they found the Apostles' missing tape recorder and it's telling them something that the Church has been unaware of for 2000 years. All this begs a question about the faith of the one who promoted and supports them?
Carol I don't know. I'm just assuming. Dolours is right, and because she's so right, it may take the Warning to wake up the Vatican.

We do not have authorization to publish the full contents of the letter, but the author of this report was given permission to review it in its entirety. Dr. Michael Hesemann, a German historian of the Catholic Church, has just given an interview to Robert Moynihan’s Inside the Vatican Magazine. In this interview, which deals with the 100th Anniversary of the apparitions of Fatima, Dr. Hesemann makes the following statement: Also in 1917, Freemasonry celebrated the 200th anniversary of the foundation of the first Grand Lodge in London in 1717. The Masonic ideology is not only based on deism, but also on the Gnostic heresy of self-salvation and “enlightenment,” and has a decidedly anti-Catholic agenda. Just in 1917, Maximilian Kolbe, one of the greatest saints of the 20th century, witnessed a Masonic procession in Rome, carrying banners with the slogan “Satan must reign in the Vatican. The Pope will be His slave.” One year later, the German Emperor Wilhelm II was warned by German Freemasons that the Grand Orient planned to force all sovereign monarchs in Europe to abdicate – which indeed happened in 1918 – [also] to destroy the Catholic Church and to bring Europe under the control of American Big Business, according to a document I found in the Vatican Secret Archives. Bolshevism would be the instrument of Freemasonry to reach this goal. Indeed, 1917 was the year of the Russian [Bolshevik] revolution which ended in a massive persecution of the Church. Also 1917 was the year of the United States’ entry into World War I, the year when the two superpowers were born, which formed the history of the 20th century for the next 74 years. [emphasis added] Dr. Hesemann personally rejects the view that Russia has not been sufficiently consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and denies that there is still a part of the Third Secret of Fatima missing. Nevertheless, he thinks that the message of Fatima is still with us and that some form of grave chastisement is still imminent. And this chastening might be connected to the words quoted above: namely, the destruction of many of the European monarchies, together with the weakening and undermining of the Catholic Church. Many historic nations may also be thereby destroyed (as Our Lady implied). Inspired by his statement that he had himself unexpectedly found an important document in the Secret Vatican Archives, I contacted Dr. Hesemann personally, and he was immediately generous and offered to share with me that original document. He had conducted extensive research at the Secret Vatican Archives in 2009. In May of 2016 and in his own preparation for the 100th Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima, Dr. Hesemann actually published an article about this historic document in which he himself quotes the most important parts of that document. The document which Dr. Hesemann found in the Vatican Archives files of the Apostolic Nunciature of Munich is a handwritten letter written on 8 November 1918 by the Archbishop of Cologne, Cardinal Felix von Hartmann, and addressed to the Apostolic Nuncio in Germany, Archbishop Eugenio Pacelli — who would later become Pope Pius XII. In that letter, Cardinal von Hartmann informed Archbishop Pacelli about some information that Emperor Wilhelm II just had received and which he wanted to pass on to the pope, with the help of his personal friend Cardinal von Hartmann. What follows are the most important excerpts of that historic letter: Your Excellency, His Majesty the Emperor just has let it be known to me “that, according to news that came to him yesterday, the Grand Orient has just decided first to depose all Sovereigns – first of all him, the Emperor – then to destroy (?) the Cathol.[olic] Church, to imprison the pope, etc and, finally, to establish on the ruins of the former bourgeois society a world republic under the leadership of American Big Capital. The German Freemasons are purportedly loyal to the [German] Emperor (which is to be doubted!) and they informed him about it. Also England wants to preserve the current bourgeois order. France and America, however, are said to be under the full influence of the Grand Orient [Freemasonic Lodge]. Bolshevism is said to be the external tool to establish the desired conditions. In the face of such a great danger which threatens in addition to the Monarchy, also the Catholic Church; it is thus important that the German episcopacy be informed and that also the pope be warned.” So far the message of His Majesty. I have believed myself to be duty-bound to pass it on to Your Excellency, and I have to leave it up to Your judgment whether You wish to pass this message on to Rome. The stormy demand of the [German] Social Democrats that the Emperor should abdicate gives a certain confirmation to this message. May God protect us and His Holy Church in this terrible turmoil! [….] With utmost devotion and being at His Excellency’s disposal, Cardinal Felix de [von] Hartmann. (Source: A.S.V., Arch. Nunz. Monaco d.B. 342, fasc. 13, p. 95-96) As Dr. Hesemann himself points out in the manuscript which he kindly shared with me, it was only one day later that the November Revolution broke out in Germany with the consequence that the German Emperor Wilhelm II had to abdicate. The warning had come true. Dr. Hesemann – who has authored more than 40 books and who has gained much recognition for his important research about the Armenian Genocide – concludes his report on this historic letter with the following words: How far away we are today, 98 [now 99] years later, from such an announced [and recommended] “world republic under the leadership of American big capital,” each of us may judge for himself. The “Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership” TTIP would have brought the world certainly an immense step closer to that goal. In this respect, the document from the year 1918 seems nearly prophetic. However, it does not describe the visions of a seer, but, rather, quotes a purported plan. Was such a plan of the Freemasonic Grand Orient also the blueprint for the European history of the 20th and early 21th century? That would certainly be a simplification, just like any conspiracy theory. However, one cannot deny that Freemasonry planned, nearly one hundred years ago, what afterwards has come true, and in an almost uncanny way. [emphasis added]
No wonder the masons love this pope. https://onepeterfive.com/freemasons-love-pope-francis-part-iii/ Why do the Freemasons Love Pope Francis? Part III OnePeterFive May 11, 2017 15 Comments Editor’s Note: This is the third and last part of a longer three-part study of how the Freemasons in the world have responded to Pope Francis and his papacy. Without further introduction, we continue herewith the collection of quotes and varied evidence to show just how much Masonry approves of Pope Francis. Part Three of Three Parts: Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 47) Masonic enthusiasm for Pope Bergoglio comes also from the magazine of the St. John’s Lodge No. 9 F. & A.M. of Seattle (USA) in the October 2015 issue. The 1st Senior Warden of that Lodge, Bro. John Murray Louderback, found Pope Francis’ speech to the American Congress very Masonic: I found the address to the joint session of Congress by Pope Francis very Masonic in nature. He spoke from a universal truth and understanding of God’s love for the earth and humanity. His message was nonpartisan and nonsectarian. Pope Francis understands that, if we destroy mother earth, we destroy ourselves. He spoke directly to the leaders of the world about the interconnectedness of all life. He pleaded with us to foster and promote the common good of all mankind. Seems like a Masonic message to me.[1] 48) In November 2015, the Grand Master of the Grande Oriente d’Italia, Stefano Bisi, addressed an open and controversial letter to the Archbishop of Ferrara-Comacchio, Bishop Luigi Negri, who is known for his great hostility to Freemasonry. What is so curious – the Grand Master spoke of: Great and serious problems that at this time are going through and stirring the Holy Roman Church and that one would need a greater concentration on the pastoral activity on the part of everyone to help the vigorous and reformative action of Pope Francis himself. But it is not up to me to do this for the bishop or to point out to the Church the way of the Church.[2] Yet Bisi is giving “pastoral” lessons to Monsignor Negri. Then Grand Master Bisi, to his own advantage, made use of some famous words of Pope Francis: His Holiness Pope Francis some time ago declared with all the great humility and great pastoral strength of his magisterium: “Who am I to judge?” She [the Catholic Church], however, does not have the slightest doubt in judging others and pronouncing ex cathedra judgments.[3] 49) In an interview published online in November 2015 in In-Sight: Independent Interview-Based Journal, the Canadian Mason and former Canadian policeman, Jerry W. Kopp, declared that Pope Benedict destested the Masons, while Pope Bergoglio seemed to be different. He said: I would suggest that the current Pope – I like the current Pope Francis, the disposition that he has and the thinking that he has – and we probably fall right in line with him. Is it because he’s a Jesuit? I don’t know. I’d like to learn more about Pope Francis. Eventually, maybe, we’ll see something come out from his office, it’s hard to say, but know for sure that Pope Benedict didn’t like us.[4] 50) On 3 December 2015, the website of “The Masonic Philosophical Society” lauded Pope Francis for his ecological commitment to the environment. Interesting is the first sentence of the article in which Pope Francis is defined on the Masonic site itself as “a radical agent of change” [emphasis added]: Pope Francis, the leader of the world’s more than one billion Roman Catholics, has become known as a radical agent of change since his election in March of 2013, especially with regard to environmentalism.[5] 51) In April 2016, the website of the Saint Vrain Masonic Lodge # 23 of the city of Longmont (Colorado) expressed a certain optimism about a possible reconciliation between Church and Masonry, since Pope Francis, with regard to couples and the family, insists much on one’s own conscience rather than on Vatican norms or dogmas. The Church must not cast stones on consciences. The Masonic author asked whether the many changes made by Pope Francis do not prepare the way to reconsider the Church’s attitude toward Freemasonry: Could it be that the many changes that Pope Francis has made to the Catholic Church pave the way for a reconsideration of its own earlier opposition to Freemasonry? […] Looking at a Pope who has not been in office for a great length of time, you can see some far-reaching reforms and adjustments that have already been made. Would it be a fantasy to surmise that somewhere down the line this Pope might relax the ban against the Craft?[6] With respect to the case of Communion for the remarried divorcees, the Mason Fred Milliken (2016) gave a cautiously positive response to his own questions: Could this mean that Catholic Freemasons [sic] might be granted the right to receive communion and hold positions of lay leadership in the Church? Certainly Freemasonry does not now seem to be on Pope Francis’ top ten list of changes yet to come. But if the mood, the emphasis away from doctrinal purity, persists, then perhaps some sort of reconciliation can take place between the Church and Freemasonry. And if that comes to pass, we will be in a new day of peace and harmony.[7] 52) On 11 May 2016, the Mason Barbosa Nunes (Grande Oriente do Brasil) offered new praise to the wisdom of Pope Francis.[8] 53) After an interview with the newspaper Il Resto del Carlino in which Monsignor Negri had reiterated critical positions against Freemasonry, on May 29, 2016, the reply of Grand Master Stefano Bisi (Grande Oriente d’Italia) was published, in which he stated, among other things: A Bishop of the Holy Roman Church, who inexorably closes the doors to what he considers only and exclusively to be an enemy to be killed or an absolute evil, thus even punches at the Gospel and the Jubilee of Mercy wanted by Pope Francis. His Excellency thus looks like those men who feel constantly surrounded by something or somebody, and who at all costs have to find a reason, a pretext, to support such a state of gray and unattractive intransigence.[9] Grand Master Bisi, therefore, placed Msgr. Negri in opposition to Pope Francis. Bisi contrasted the justified anti-Masonic attitude of Monsignor Negri with the “Gospel” and the “Jubilee of Mercy wanted by Pope Francis.” In short, the Grand Master of the Grande Oriente d’Italia raised, at least implicitly, another form of praise to the reigning Pontiff. This is really strange and curious.
54) In May of 2016, the Masonic Service Association of North America published a short note of enthusiasm about the earlier visit of Pope Francis to the U.S. (in 2015), wherein the Mason Christopher L. Murphy noted that Pope Francis uses the same words used by the Freemasons: fraternity, love, freedom, faith, hope, charity. The Mason Murphy believes that this is why Pope Francis’ visit to the United States was important: to reaffirm these values toward and for the world of today.[10] In short, Pope Francis pleases, and he thus so much also pleases all North American Masons. 55) On May 15, 2016, at the end of an article on refugees and migrants – presented on the website of the Masonic Lodge “Mozart” – the author concluded (and how well he does it!) with some phrases of Pope Francis himself: Last week, Pope Francis received in Rome the Charlemagne Prize. At the end of my presentation, I would like thus to quote from his own speech which sobered not only the European guests of the event. “What has happened to you, the Europe of humanism, the champion of human rights, democracy and freedom? […] I dream of a Europe of which it will not be said that its commitment to human rights was its last utopia. […] I dream of a Europe of families, with truly effective policies concentrated on faces rather than numbers, on birth rates more than rates of consumption. […] I dream of a Europe where being a migrant is not a crime.”[11] 56) On 30 November 2016, on the website of The Masonic Philosophical Society we read an article in which it is said that Pope Francis has approved of Martin Luther’s assertions about obedience to one’s own conscience: In the 21st century, Pope Francis affirmed Luther’s reasoning of relying on one’s conscience as a means of achieving salvation. When asked to respond to whether God’s mercy is open to atheists, Pope Francis wrote, “God’s mercy has no limits if he who asks for mercy does so in contrition and with a sincere heart. The issue for those who do not believe in God is in obeying their own conscience. In fact, listening to and obeying it, means deciding about what is perceived to be good or evil. The goodness or the wickedness of our behavior depends on this decision.” Following this logic, Luther’s decision to stand firm in his beliefs, convinced by his own conscience, was ultimately justified by the head of the Catholic Church.[12] Some delicate souls will say that Pope Francis did not intend to praise Luther in the “Lutheran” manner. What we are interested in here is the other praise given by the Masons to the Pontiff and, more importantly, to Martin Luther himself. But it is certain that the Pope positively defined Luther as “a reformer.”[13] (Not a deformer!) 57) On March 26, 2017, the ultra-Bergoglian Mason, Mario Rolleri 33rd degree, published on the Spanish-language Masonic website Fenixnews Pope Francis’s speech for the 60th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome marking the birth of the European Economic Community.[14] 58) On March 28, 2017, the Italian-American journalist and Mason, Oscar Bartoli, put Pope Francis in opposition to Donald Trump, as in the “chemical bath” used by the Pontiff in the face of the U.S. President’s grimaces. Bartoli says among other things: “Donald Trump is the President of the United States, but he is not my president.” Bartoli praises Francis, but he despises, hates, Trump. Bartoli ended his article with the following words: The tycoon Donald Trump plays well the role of the super-rich man who does not care about ordinary people and aims only to secure his own interests and to preserve those of his peers. To compare Pope Francis with Donald Trump is illegitimate. But since these are the only two leaders who are in the media world-wide, it’s spontaneous to say that we are on the side of Francis’ chemistry, with full conviction.[15] 59) On January 17, 2015, the website of the “Grande Oriente Estadual da Bahia” contained an article by the Mason Barbosa Nunes, Grand Master of the “Grande Oriente do Brasil,” who praised Pope Francis: Regardless of your religious belief, your profession of faith or what you support, what you do not believe or what you fight against, Pope Francis in his quiet voice, frank and captivating smile, trust-giving look, creates around him an highly positive transmitting circle of new values, creating spiritual beauty, with a sure and firm perception of his mission before the world and the Catholic Church. He innovates our habits and speeches. From a pastoral style that makes it unique. A loving cultivator of his personality, he resonates throughout the world, especially throughout the Catholic Church, which has more than one billion two hundred million faithful and throughout the holders of material power in dozens of countries, speaking with humility about charity, forgiveness and love, without fear, walking without trampling, but with steady steps. […] I do not know why when I speak and think about Pope Francis, there always come to mind the “smiling Pope,” John Paul I. The world needs this man a lot. Long live Pope Francis.[16] [emphasis added] 60) Such is the enthusiasm among the South American Freemasons for the new Pontiff, that the Gran Oriente Unido de la Republica del Ecuador (GOUDRE), on 14 September 2015, sent to Pope Francis a letter in which it asks for a categorical pronouncement on secular coexistence in the world. The GOUDRE appeals to the South American being of the Pontiff. The GOUDRE believes that, consistent with its own line of action, the Pope will behave differently from the earlier Church toward the states of the world, and hence defend secularism (“secular coexistence,” “secularism”). The GOUDRE believes and hopes in the consensus between a new humanistic Church and the liberal states (“We have faith in the consensus between a new humanistic church and the welfare states.”)[17] 61) On 13 November 2016, Mario Rolleri 33°, spoke of a dialogue with his own son about what it means to be a Mason and then gives new praise to Pope Francis: Of course, when I was your age, a long time ago, my model was Pelé and Maradona. Nowadays, I have grown up to be a free man able to choose and respect their opinions and those of others, a man who has a sense of values, a man capable of transmitting his values with his example, a man more spiritual. Pope Francisco? Could it now be? If, for example, there is someone whose acts agree with his words. If I understood you well now, that’s why you want to be a Mason …! Of course son, such are the Masons, although Pope Francis is not Mason. But he is a good man of faith. A man who preaches by example.[18] 62) Still the ultra-zealous Mason Mario Rolleri 33°, on April 01, 2017, again expressed his happiness about Pope Francis. Rolleri also invited us to read Pope Francis in order to be happy. How beautiful! This Pope is someone out of the ordinary! Here is the new message, full of wisdom and humility. BE HAPPY … give yourself a minute to read him, Pope Francis. […] Today, Pope Francis calls the whole world – no matter where one is, independetly of creed or religion – to a moment of recollection, meditation or prayer for peace. The whole planet united in prayer for PEACE.[19] Conclusion: Catholic Prayers and Wishes for the Pope and for the Church Who knows if this list of Masonic praise can be further upgraded and expanded? In the meantime, we pray for Pope Francis, we wish him more and more doctrinal clarity and spiritual strength to be able to give to the media and to the world a clearer and stronger testimony of the Catholic Faith, such as the Apostle Saint Peter (before the Sanhedrin); such as Blessed Pius IX (before the Masonic world); such as Saint Pius X (before modernity); such as John Paul II (before today’s laicism). As in the early centuries of Christianity, even today the Church needs a Pope “martyr” or “confessor” of Faith. Dancing and dancing the tango[20] with the media and with the world will bring no good to anyone! But let us conclude with a change the topic: Will Pope Francis answer the “dubia” of the four Cardinals concerning Amoris Laetitia? And the Masons, where do they stand – “cum Amoris Laetitia” or “cum dubiis“?
I too believe the Warning will come, after WW3 or what ever name you want to give it, comes and goes. I have no problem believing Natan's NDE 2 week nuclear war. I believe we are already within the 1st tribulation, which will climax with WW3, the most deadly war in the history of man. I believe from many credible prophecy, including the ones just released from Zaro, that we are one the edge of this global war. Sometime after it, will come the Warning and the Unity that Jesus prayed for to his Father, "that we all be one, Father, as you and I are one". After the Warning there will be no need for other religions or Christian denominations from the Catholic Church, as all making living will know God's truth in this matter. Everyone will at that point of God's greatest act of Mercy choose his Church or choose the church of the antichrist which will soon afterwards come to fruition in plain site for all who accept God's Warning. Then comes the 2nd wave of tribulations from God himself. Chastisements from heaven! He will allow the reign of the Antichrist to punish a world that has said know to his greatest act of Mercy, the Warning and Miracle. The climax to all this and the era of peace promised at Fatima will come after all this and its finale, the 3 day's of darkness. This is just my short understanding of it all with allot of details missing in-between.
As far as the Freemason's go, it should be no secret that from its very conception it has been used for Satan's purposes and soon to be for the Antichrist's "ground zero'. Perhaps no one has spoken to this more then the Blue Book of Father Gobbi and the Marian Movement of Priests. The Mason's have many puppets who's strings they maneuver. It is sad, but true that many of them are in the highest offices with the Vatican and Catholic hierarchy. They surely knew that they had to infiltrate the Church in order to have any hope to destroy it. They must think they have it licked now that they have our pope singing from some of their own tunes, especially as it pertains to planet earth. Unfortunately, most in the Church are clueless to what is happening in this regard. All this hand holding and clergy and hugging from the social justice crowd has the Mason's reeling in glee. This has taken the focus off the Gospel and into earth-firsts. They must also be gleeful at seeing the plight of man's concern for the temporal order in lieu of the eternal order that comes from God. They know that evangelization is at an all time low and is even frowned upon by the pope. Now we have what they think is the pinnacle to their gleefulness in seeing the pandering to the homosexuals within the highest levels of the Church hierarchy, bringing the old grave sin of Sodomy to new life once again. Freemasonry is ever so near to its founding origin, the destruction of the Church of God. Blind Catholics and clergy have paved the way for this to take place. God will not be mocked much longer and we will soon see, in our life time, the effects of the messages from Fatima and Akita and the devastation to the Church. It is all happening in "real" time, as we speak.
WW3 or global war or what ever words one wants to use will take place. Not as WWI and WWII did with boots on the ground for years and years, but in a new more devastating way that will last day's not years. So the Garabandal seers were right in one sense, there will not be a WW3 as it was in the previous two world wars.
Cardinal Coccopalmerio on Anglican Orders May 11, 2017by: Fr. Dwight Longenecker Cardinal Coccopalmerio Deacon Kandra reports here that Cardinal Coccopalmerio has suggested that Anglican orders may not be “absolutely null and utterly void” as declared by Pope Leo XIII. In a recent book he writes, “When someone is ordained in the Anglican Church and becomes a parish priest in a community, we cannot say that nothing has happened, that everything is ‘invalid’,” Deacon Greg says that the Cardinal is “one of the Vatican’s top legal minds.” If this is the top what’s the bottom? The cardinal has set up a scarecrow–a straw man. Nobody was ever suggesting that in an Anglican ordination nothing has happened and that everything is completely worthless. Leo XIII’s definition does not seek to define what has happened in an Anglican ordination. It seeks to define what has not happened. What has not happened is Catholic ordination. After I converted to the Catholic faith people asked, “But what about your Anglican orders? Are you saying they were worthless? Were you not a priest?” My answer was, “There is much that is worthy, good, beautiful and true in the Anglican Church. Catholics admit this and embrace it. We also thank God for all the graces that flowed to us in our Protestant experience. I’m not sure what my Anglican ordination consisted of, but what I do know is that I was not a Catholic priest. I was an Anglican priest.” The church teaches that Anglican orders are null and void but it does not teach that they are worthless and meaningless. The proof of this is that they make an exception for men like me to be ordained and allow the ordinaries of the ordinariate to wear pontificals. If our orders are not only null and void but worthless, then why recognize that there is something different about us from laymen? Therefore, if our orders were null and void, but not worthless and meaningless, Leo XIII’s definition leads us to ask, “Well, what is actually happening at a Protestant ordination?” The question then remains–if Anglican orders are not Catholic orders what are they? But that should be for the Anglicans to tell us–not for us to tell them. We tell them–“Your orders are not valid Catholic orders. Now you tell us what you think they are.” And that is where the problem becomes even more confusing because the Anglicans themselves don’t know what their own priesthood is. They have no shared ecclesiology, no shared sacramental theology, and no shared theology of ministry or ordination. An Anglo Catholic will pretend that he is “a Catholic but in the Anglican Church.” He believes he is a sacrificing priest confecting a true sacrament. But an Evangelical Anglican will strenuously deny that he is a sacrificing priest and will intentionally repudiate such an idea that he is any kind of priest at all. Indeed he will insist that he is a “minister of God’s word.”–and so he is. Meanwhile a modernist Anglican will say, “Priesthood! What a concept! Does anyone believe in that sort of thing nowadays?” As one modernist Anglican priest once said to me, “I see myself sort of like the shaman of the tribe.” Uh huh.. I suspect Cardinal Coccopalmerio–like most Catholics outside of England–has very little experience or understanding of Anglicanism at all, and is merely making ill informed, subjective and sentimental comments about the subject. If he spent even one year in England observing and learning he would realize how silly his comments are. Of course there are good Anglican priests who love Jesus and do good work. Nobody has suggested that their lives and faith are futile and worthless. But them being nice enough chaps who love Jesus is not the same thing as having valid Catholic orders. Coccopalmerio’s dodgy theology of orders has a deeper, darker foundation, and this become clear in his further words on the subject: The cardinal’s mindset is deeply relativistic. He writes, ““We have had, and we still have a very rigid understanding of validity and invalidity: this is valid, and that is not valid. One should be able to say: ‘this is valid in a certain context, and that is valid another context’.” The cardinal should be careful not to cut off the branch on which he is sitting. After all, if Anglican orders are maybe valid sometimes and maybe not valid other times depending on the context, then the same can be said of the authority of Catholic Cardinals. If the cardinal can relativize Anglican orders, perhaps we might as well say, “You know, up till now we have had a very rigid understanding of the authority of cardinals. In many contexts what they say is true and valid. In other contexts what they say is total nonsense.
St. Thomas Aquinas, and the Church for 2000 years, taught that the State has the right to have recourse to capital punishment, so it cannot be mortally sinful in every case. More material heresy from this pope: http://www.americamagazine.org/fait...cis-death-penalty-mortal-sin-and-inadmissible Pope Francis: The death penalty is a “mortal sin” and “inadmissible” Faith is a journey guided by the Holy Spirit, who helps the church grow in understanding the sinful nature of once-accepted practices like slavery and the death penalty, Pope Francis said. While people once even used religious reasons to justify practices such as slavery, the death penalty and "wars of religion," over time the Holy Spirit has deepened the church's understanding of the Gospel, the pope said on May 11 in his homily during morning Mass at Domus Sanctae Marthae. Slavery "is a mortal sin; today we say this. Back then, some would say that this could be done because these people did not have a soul!" he said. The number of people enslaved today is "even more, but at least we know that it is a mortal sin. The same goes for the death penalty; for a time, it was normal. Today, we say that the death penalty is inadmissible." Reflecting on the day's first reading in which St. Paul recounts God's works throughout history, Pope Francis said the Lord "guides his people in good times and in bad times, through freedom and slavery." Like the people of Israel, he said, God also guides the church along the path toward the fullness of time "with many saints and many sinners; between grace and sin." It is those saints, some well-known and others who are "hidden," who "clarify faith and clarify morals," the pope said. However, Christians who choose to stop along the path "become a prisoner in a stable, like a donkey," and end up not deepening their faith and understanding God's love in their own lives, he said. Individually, he said, each person also is moving toward the fullness of their own time, the point when they die and come face to face with the Lord. When Catholics go to confession, he said, they should consider not only the shame they feel for their sins, but they should recognize that confession as another step they need to make in preparation for meeting the Lord. "Asking God's forgiveness is not automatic," he said. By understanding their sins and asking God for forgiveness, Christians will discover that they are part of "a people on the way and that one day—perhaps today, tomorrow or in 30 years—I will find myself face to face with that Lord who never leaves us alone, who accompanies us on the way." "This is the great work of God's mercy," he said.
Every time I see this Cardinals name I cant help but laugh and think of the Pope Francis buzz word..coprophagia
or the poor Peter Allens song about rio [Chorus] At the Copa, Copacabana (Copacabana) The hottest spot north of Havana, At the Copa, Copacabana (Copacabana) Music and passion were always the fashion. Poor Man with such a name
Wrong on both accounts again. Jesus himself lived in an era of slavery and never condemned it as a mortal sin. Also, the Church has always, even in the Catholic Catechism, allowed for capital punishment in some cases. Once again, we have the teachings of Christ and his teachings explained through his magisterium and then you have the abridged addition of Pope Francis, based on his social justice salvation only theory. What next?
I love this thread! It sickens me to see the photos online of the Masonic handshake....I know that there is far more evil happening underground from people who are secretly Masons who have been put into strategic places... I am not afraid to name a few but I will refrain If you doubt, just spend 30 minutes online and you will dredge up all sorts of horrors. Again, my best friend in 7th grade told me that the Masons were secret and had a secret. How best to know one another in secret than by the ritual handshakes, etc. This evil is "crescendo"
Over 25 years ago I was reading books about Freemasonry from a Catholic perspective (before the Internet.) I went to a funeral and saw a neighbor and must have been staring at his coat lapel, which had a Masonic lapel pin, not knowing he was a member. He said, "Did you travel far to come here today?" I answered, "Yes, we drove the whole way in from the east, New Jersey, to get here." He smiled and thrust out his hand to shake mine, and it just didn't feel right. I kinda frowned and walked away, and left him with a puzzled look on his face. Later I learned it was a Masonic handshake, which he offered because I was looking at his lapel pin and his question is a common Masonic opening/screening question, and my answer, unknowingly, was close enough to the correct answer, "I've traveled far from the east."
There is a connection on the recent entries to this thread. The Anglican clergy are steeped in Freemasonry and the Church seems to be moving to recognise their orders as valid, could the two be connected? It is true that some Anglican clergy are opposed to freemasonry but many are not and a good minority are themselves masons (apart from their women 'priests' and 'bishops' obviously). Perhaps the move to recognise Anglican orders has grown from relationships between Anglican masons and Catholic ones in the respective hierarchies. A few French priests are openly masons but it seems to be the case that most Catholic clergy members prefer to keep their membership a secret for the obvious reason that membership contravenes Canon Law and also subjects them to the risk of blackmail if they have hopes of a high level job. I used to wonder how on earth Catholic clergy could get involved and then read an account by someone in the Vatican who explained how things work. A bright young priest is posted to the Vatican and is 'spotted' as a probable high-flyer by those who keep their eyes open. The young priest receives an invitation, perhaps to a reception for a new Ambassador to the Vatican, he wonders if there is some mistake, he investigates and is told that there is no mistake, he is flattered. He attends, he meets the high ranking priest/bishop/cardinal who arranged his invitation. He is told that he has been 'marked out' for higher things. Would he care to attend a meeting where he would meet influential clergy who could certainly arrange a new post more fitted to his talents than his present modest job? Yes, please. He is then promoted, flattered and slowly drawn into masonry, the secrets, the money, the parties, the blackmail etc. and he is their creature for the rest of his life.
Yes. I think that you hit the nail on the head. Now the question remains, what is the Pope's involvement in this? I don't think that he is the catalyst, that is just my opinion. He was chosen as the fall guy, I believe.
