The concluding vision of St. John Bosco: “Very grave trials await the Church. What we have suffered so far is almost nothing compared to what is going to happen. The enemies of the Church are symbolized by the ships which strive their utmost to sink the flagship. Only two things can save us in such a grave hour: devotion to Mary and frequent Communion. Let us do our very best to use these two means and have others use them everywhere.”
Hands joined in prayer. POPE Pope’s prayer intentions for 2022 The Vatican on Saturday published the monthly prayer intentions of the Holy Father for the year 2022. By Vatican News staff writer The prayer intentions are entrusted to the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, which Pope Francis officially established as a pontifical work on 17 November 2020. The Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network is a pontifical work with the mission of mobilizing Catholics through prayer and action, in the face of the challenges confronting humanity and the mission of the Church. These challenges are addressed in the form of prayer intentions entrusted by the Pope to the entire Church. Its mission is inscribed in the dynamic of the Heart of Jesus: a mission of compassion for the world. Formerly known as the Apostleship of Prayer, the network was born as a Jesuit initiative in 1844 in a house of formation for young Jesuits in Vals, in the south of France. Fr. Francis Xavier Gautrelet sj, the spiritual director of the young men, suggested them a way of being apostles and missionaries in their daily lives by offering to God everything they were doing and striving to be available to Jesus in order to carry out their everyday duties well. The fervour of the spiritual initiative spread far and wide in the Catholic Church and in 1890, Pope Leo XIII entrusted his monthly prayer intentions to the Apostleship of Prayer, assigning the job of running the network to the Jesuits. In 1915, its youth section, the Eucharistic Crusade, was born, today known as the Eucharistic Youth Movement. In 2016, Pope Francis renamed the Apostleship of Prayer as the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network. He raised it to the status of a pontifical work in 2018 and made it a Vatican Foundation with a canonical and juridical status in 2020. The Network, with its headquarters in Vatican City Jesuits, continues to be led by the Jesuits. In recent years, the Network has been popularizing the Pope’s monthly prayer intentions through its Video of the Pope, across its presence in 98 countries with more than 35 million Catholic members. Below, please find the prayer intentions of the Holy Father for 2022: JANUARY For true human fraternity We pray for all those suffering from religious discrimination and persecution; may their own rights and dignity be recognized, which originate from being brothers and sisters in the human family. FEBRUARY For religious sisters and consecrated women We pray for religious sisters and consecrated women; thanking them for their mission and their courage; may they continue to find new responses to the challenges of our times. MARCH For a Christian response to bioethical challenges We pray for Christians facing new bioethical challenges; may they continue to defend the dignity of all human life with prayer and action. APRIL For health care workers We pray for health care workers who serve the sick and the elderly, especially in the poorest countries; may they be adequately supported by governments and local communities. DECEMBER For volunteer not-for-profit organisations We pray that volunteer non-profit organisations committed to human development find people dedicated to the common good and ceaselessly seek out new paths to international cooperation. https://www.vaticannews.va/en/pope/news/2021-02/pope-francis-monthly-prayer-intentions-2022.html there is no mention of the sin of abortion in these intentions, although there is a month dedicated to praying for the end of the death sentence
Don't hold your breath waiting for a prayer to end the holocaust of abortion. The culture wars has ended under this Pontificate. For what reason, I know not.
I think it is worse than grooming if that were possible. I strikes me as promoting body dysmorphia. It seems that anything that will destroy the human ability to procreate is supported, encouraged and treated as sacrosanct. And anyone who objects is cancelled. Weird when you think about it, because by cancelling any dissenters who might object to immature or innocent children or young teens and tweens having their ability to have children of their own later on are silenced. This imposes a deadly recipe on the weak and the vulnerable, who are probably not aware how youngsters simply have not yet reached sufficient maturity to know it is natural to hope for a child or children of ones own once we reach adulthood. While young children easily accept fairy tales which they understand later on are just that, made up stories; even if they are great to ponder on before responsibilities and or consequences begin to be understood as children mature. Body dysmorphia is fantasy, just like a fairy tale. And madness to support by rational human beings. You can't put an old head on young shoulders.
These prayers are nice. Who could fail to pray them (apart from maybe BLM)? I'm sorry, but they are so generic, devoid of any Catholicity. For instance, number (1) ends with: which originate from being brothers and sisters in the human family. A more pronounced Catholic nuance would be: which derive from the truth that we are created in the image and likeness of Almighty God. But the Vatican cannot refrain from promoting the latest mantra of the Holy Father: fraternity! Lord have Mercy!
I may have posted this somewhere on this forum before, but in regards to praying the Holy Rosary, if someone is not sure about what our present Pope is asking of us in his monthly intentions, it may be in your interest to stick with the following trued and true intentions while fulfilling the request: **Prümmer in his Manuale (vol. III, no. 556) says that “Intentions of the Holy Father” which we pray for in the course of obtaining an Indulgence are a five-fold set which tradition (and the former Congregations) have fixed as such, namely: 1. Exaltatio S. Matris Ecclesiæ (The triumph/growth of holy mother the Church), 2. Extirpatio hæresum (The rooting out of heresy), 3. Propagatio fidei (The propogation of the Faith) 4. Conversio peccatorum (The conversion of sinners), 5. Pax inter principes christianos (Peace among christian rulers). I hope this is helpful, May God bless you!
Terrifying! I wonder when that recording was made? It's no wonder our Blessed Mother has always asked us to pray for the Holy Father. This video made me pause to say some extra prayers for Pope Francis. Many lukewarm Catholics wouldn't be bothered to say a pray for the Pope. If heaven was flooded with prayers for Pope Francis he could be blessed with great graces, and do a complete turn around. Time is running short for him.
I wish I had not listened to that recording. Whether real or fake, somethings you just can not unnhear. Also is anyone for sure what language was being spoken? Maybe I’m a bit over the top but how did we know the subtitles were what was actually being said.
is the video recording an exorcism? I could only translate the title, the audio I cannot understand and translating the video subtitles simultaneously is very difficult
I will admit it was very disturbing. Not sure if it really did happen, but sadly the possibility exists. We have all read true accounts, some from saints, about the horrors of hell. I suppose we should be prepared for nightmares after watching this one.
This is not Catholic, folks. Read the introduction about the small church in the first 25 seconds of the video. It says members have been praying and fasting for 7 years. This is not a Catholic manner of establishing legitimacy. False images: No one in Hell has a body from which blood flows. No Pope would describe himself as the "head of Catholicism"; head of the Church, yes, but not Catholicism. No verifiable sources. Ignore it. Now, I'm not claiming that all popes go to Heaven. I'm just saying this video is a waste of time. Safe in the Barque of Peter!
