He does more than meet with Jeffrey Sachs. Reminds me of an old TV show. I think it was called What's My Line. If they ever revive it there could be an episode called Will the Real Pope Stand Up:

Anyway, Padraig might want to avoid all news tomorrow. Edward Pentin is reporting that the Vatican will have a press conference for thePope's Humanism document. It's already a big hit with the Masons, so what's not to like about it:

Francis Says Pandemic Showed Failings Of Capitalism

    October 4, 2020 by sd

    From Associated Press:

Pope Francis says the coronavirus pandemic has proven that the “magic theories” of market capitalism have failed and that the world needs a new type of politics that promotes dialogue and solidarity and rejects war at all costs.

Francis on Sunday laid out his vision for a post-COVID world by uniting the core elements of his social teachings into a new encyclical, “Fratelli Tutti” (Brothers All), which was released on the feast day of his namesake, the peace-loving St. Francis of Assisi. The document draws its inspiration from the teachings of St. Francis and the Pope’s previous preaching on the injustices of the global economy and its destruction of the planet and pairs them with his call for greater human solidarity to address today’s problems.

The document draws its inspiration from the teachings of St. Francis and the pope’s previous preaching on the injustices of the global economy and its destruction of the planet and pairs them with his call for greater human solidarity to address today’s problems.

In the encyclical, Francis rejected even the Catholic Church’s own doctrine justifying war as a means of legitimate defense, saying it had been too broadly applied over the centuries and was no longer viable.

“Aside from the differing ways that various countries responded to the crisis, their inability to work together became quite evident,” Francis wrote. (Huh? The leader in the world whom Francis seems to dislike the most, President Trump, organized private industry as in a time of war in order to make enough medical devices to share with other nations!)

“It is imperative to have a proactive economic policy directed at ‘promoting an economy that favours productive diversity and business creativity’ and makes it possible for jobs to be created, and not cut.” (Um, again, has he been cut off from President Trump's emphasis on job creation above all else?)

He denounced populist politics that seek to demonize and isolate, and called for a “culture of encounter” that promotes dialogue, solidarity and a sincere effort at working for the common good.
(It might appear that an addiction to so many years of "social justice, social justice, social justice" has created an addiction and a need for some "anonymous" type intervention group to step in!)

Viganò speaks to sacking of scandal-plagued cardinal

Much has been written in recent days about yet another Vatican scandal, this time involving Cdl. Angelo Becciu, prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints. Faced with accusations that still have to be proven, Jorge Mario Bergoglio's response seemed to be dictated more by anger than by love of truth, more by a delusion of omnipotence than by the will for justice — in any case, by a serious, despotic abuse of authority.

From this point of view, we can now believe that the deprivation of the sacred purple and the reduction to the lay state have become summary executions, with a very strong media impact in favor of the image of those who inflict them, beyond the real moral and criminal responsibilities of the condemned.

Mr. Theodore McCarrick, accused of very serious crimes, was directly condemned by the Pope, without the trial documents and testimonies concerning him being made public.

However, with this ploy, Bergoglio wanted to project an image of himself that contrasts with the reality of the facts, since his stated desire to "clean up" the Vatican does not correspond to the fact of his having surrounded himself with widely compromised characters — e.g., McCarrick — giving them official assignments, then kicking them out as soon as their scandals were exposed.

And on all of them, as those who work in the Curia know well, already weighed serious suspicions, if not even any detailed evidence of guilt.

In confirmation of this instrumental method, indeed of the ruse of the Bergoglian moralizing action, there are the cases of upright and completely innocent people who have not been spared the infamy of discredit, media exposure, judicial pillory: Let us just think of the case of Cdl. George Pell, abandoned to himself in a sham trial set up by an Australian court, and for which the Holy See refrained from any intervention that would have been its duty.

In other cases, such as that of Bp. Gustavo Zanchetta, Bergoglio spent himself in an all-out defense of his protégé, even going so far as to accuse the victims of the prelate of perjury and promoting him to a position of high responsibility (that was specifically created for him) at the Administration of the Patrimony of the Apostolic See ("APSA"). And today, Bp. Nunzio Galantino and Zanchetta are de facto administrators of the entire patrimony of the Holy See and now also of the portfolio of the Secretariat of State. And what about unpresentable characters like Cdl. Tarcisio Bertone and Cdl. Óscar Maradiaga, Abp. Edgar Peña Parra and Abp. Vincenzo Paglia? Living scandals!

Birds of a feather stick together.

Let us, therefore, leave aside the innocent and guilty, united by the lynching artfully induced by those who wanted to get rid of them or because they had shown themselves not very inclined to compromise, or because their zeal for the cause of Santa Marta had led them to a dangerous ease in a certainty of impunity.

Ugh!. I pray for the day when the CC will stop teaching social justice and start teaching the Gospel again.:(

Like so many, they hijack the words of St. Francis to promote a social justice warrior. St. Francis was not about social justice. He wasn't a hippie.

It is going to be hard getting through this encyclical.

Maybe he ought to get his own house in order before lecturing the rest of the world. Becciu certainly looked after his brother. The Becciu family can certainly describe itself as Fratelli Tutti.

Seriously, is the Pope meaning to walk straight into revelation? Strange how many of our current mystics and seers seem to talk about the one world government, then the Holy Father decides to walk right on in the front door.

Yes, and Pope Francis is in direct contravention of Vatican II, which declared that no member of the Church, and no exceptions were made for popes, may appropriate the authority of the Church in prudential matters. The Church has received no Revelation, nor contains in Her Tradition, anything about condemning capitalism. Indeed, a previous pope, I think it was Pius X, declared the impossibility of simultaneously being a good Catholic and a socialist. God Himself provides us with two out of ten Commandments relating to private property. The First went with Pachamama, the Sixth and Ninth are compromised by Amoris laetitia, COVID response has weakened the Third. He's getting through them.

VATICAN CITY ( - The Vatican City State Mint has issued a 10-euro silver coin depicting "Mother Earth" — an image designed for World Earth Day by Bergamo-born sculptor and engraver Luigi Oldani.

Ten euro coin depicting "Mother Earth"
While the Numismatic Chronicle interpreted the icon as Madre Terra (Mother Earth), it said the Vatican said it portrayed "a mother carrying the Earth, to which we owe care and love as if she were a daughter."

The coin, issued Monday, symbolizes the earth's fertility "with long ears of corn" entwined with the mother's plaited hair and evokes "a cross-reference between past and future that becomes timeless, therefore eternal," the publication said.

Earth Reverence Resurrected From Pagan Synod
The Vatican commended the coin as representing, under the pontificate of Pope Francis, "a commitment to take care of the planet," the publication said.

The celebration of life on earth, the Vatican said, "is the project to which the Church intends to offer its support, a grandiose and complex work: promoting international action to guarantee everyone the future, the food they need — both in quantity and quality — so that economic advancement is accompanied by social development, without which there is no real progress," the publication added.

The Bible is clear that the worship of nature embodied in feminine idols is abhorrent to the holiness of God.Tweet
Oldani described his creation in poetic terms, referring to the image as "fertile and fruitful land, fertile and fruitful like a young woman. The earth must be protected like a woman expectantly waiting for a new life. The land must be respected like a mother and her child."

Speaking to Church Militant, English columnist Dcn. Nick Donnelly slammed the Vatican for reiterating its theme of the Amazon fertility goddess Pachamama even after it outraged Catholics at the 2019 Amazon Synod.

Pope Francis looked on as pagan imagery was revered at the Amazon Synod

"On the first anniversary of the worship of the demonic Pachamama, the Vatican issues a coin explicitly honoring the 'Mother Earth' idol!" Donnelly said.

    He elaborated:

This is defiant sacrilege against God. The Bible is clear that the worship of nature embodied in feminine idols is abhorrent to the holiness of God," he noted, underscoring Sacred Scripture's categorical repudiation of anthropomorphizing or divinizing of the earth, especially in the context of the Ancient Near Eastern worship of the fertility deity Baal.

This honoring of Pachamama during October — the month Catholics around the world have a special devotion to the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary — is an insult to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Penance, penance, penance!

Speaking of the challenge he faced in sketching the illustration for a small coin, Oldani explained how "a multiplicity of volumes had to be 'synthesized,' from that of the planet earth as a symbolic womb defended and looked upon with love by the mother, to the physiognomy of the woman and the smallest details of the ears that adorn her head."

    Immigration Extolled
A second coin issued by the Papal Mint is engraved with another leitmotif of Francis' pontificate and is dedicated to the World Day of Migrants and Refugees.

On the first anniversary of the worship of the demonic Pachamama, the Vatican issues a coin explicitly honoring the 'Mother Earth' idol!Tweet
The five-euro silver coin, designed by illustrator Marco Ventura, depicts "St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles, opening his arms wide as a sign of welcome on behalf of the Church to all those migrants and refugees who flee every day from hunger, poverty and conflicts."

The Vatican statement accompanying the coin reads:

Five-euro coin of St. Peter welcoming migrants
The Church asks and begs for assistance in favor of migrants and refugees and hopes to be heard — for the love of Our Lord Jesus, who suffers in all the marginalized, he is a pilgrim, he is in need — among all men of goodwill.

Thus, the coin, combined with the papal emblem, depicts Peter, the prince of the Apostles, who welcomes, protects and provides for all those who take refuge in the Church ... without borders, mother of all, to which it belongs to the privilege of indicating the response of the gospel of mercy, towards a better world.

The silver coins are on sale from Oct. 16 at a price of 69 euros for the 10-euro coin and 58 euros for the five-euro coin.

    Pope Francis Defends Idolatry
Faithful Catholics were incandescent after Pope Francis hosted a pagan ceremony Oct. 4, 2019 with Pachamama statuettes in the Vatican Gardens. One of the idols was blessed and laypeople and clergy were photographed bowing to the ground before the idol, which occupied center stage during the conference.

Three days later, Francis prayed in front of Pachamama in St. Peter's Basilica and processed with it into the synod hall.

The pontiff confirmed that the idol was that of "Pachamama" and apologized for the "act of theft" after Austrian Catholic Alexander Tschugguel removed the idols from the Church of Santa Maria in Traspontina and threw them into the Tiber river.

    Penance, penance, penance!Tweet
Pope Francis defended the use of the Pachamama idol in his apostolic exhortation Querida Amazonia, explaining that people should "not be quick to describe as superstition or paganism certain religious practices that arise spontaneously from the life of peoples."

It is "possible to take up an indigenous symbol in some way without necessarily considering it as idolatry," Francis asserted, insisting that a "myth charged with spiritual meaning can be used to advantage and not always considered a pagan error."

This video is a direct assault against Western Civilization born of the Catholic Faith. Slick propaganda at its best, or should I say, worse? Listen and grieve.:(

It starts out with an evolutionary plug, and then considers various forms of paganism as simpler and more rich than the fruits of Christianity: alienation, plundering, and arrogance.

Well done propaganda which our uncatechized youth will swallow hook, line, and sinker!
