I hope you're right. I sometimes wonder what Cardinal Zen meant when he said he had evidence that Cardinal Parolin is not a man of faith. That's a very serious charge for one Cardinal to make against another. Nobody could question Cardinal Zen's faith. At the same time, I recall Cardinal Pell saying that Cardinal Parolin wasn't culpable in the financial scandals. It's weird that Cardinal Becciu remains a Cardinal but with some kind of reduced status. If Pope Francis were to die or resign tomorrow, he would have a vote at the next Conclave. He might be shifty but he doesn't seem to be an apostate. What's worse: a shifty Cardinal overseeing managerial operations or a Cardinal with no faith negotiating a deal with an atheist regime? Neither is good but I'll take the loss of money any day over a sell-out of the Faith. Both were made Cardinals by Pope Francis - Parolin in 2014 and Becciu in 2018. With so many Bishops in the Church to choose from, it beats me how we get so many dud Cardinals. I think we're in for some unsettling times inside and outside the Church.
The Bergoglian dud-rate is extraordinarily high. This might imply that these people don't have their act together, but I might only be clutching at straws.
As I've posted here before, my immediate reaction to my wife, when she told me that Donald Trump had been elected President that fateful November '16 morning, was to blurt out 'they'll shoot him'. This reaction of mine was instantaneous and unconsidered. Given the hatred and hostility directed to this man, it is only the Grace of God that is keeping him safe.

It is as Archbishop Vigano has described. The relics of Liberation Theology have, in their old age, succeeded in wresting control of the high administration of the Church, God help us. After all, Pope St John Paul II's gallant efforts were sufficient to partially liberate the Soviet Evil Empire from Communism-not completely, but the former Iron Curtain now resists the intentions of the forces of Hell much more than the suppliant West. He also exerted all his authority to curb the evil exponents of Liberation Theology, but they merely went into hibernation, waiting for their opportunity. It is increasingly obvious that the Communist threat now consists of a combination of still fanatically Communist China, now launching biological warfare upon us; the Chinese and former Soviet agents long implanted in the political, media, educational and administrative institutions of the West; and most devastatingly, the implanted agents and mostly perverted fellow-travellers that have infiltrated and contaminated the one Institution that Marxism most aspires to ruin, because Marxism is ultimately an artifact of the devil, wholly intended to destroy Christ's Church-this is the true aim and intention of Communism. It is useless for anything else. It is made crystal-clear in the parallel assault upon Catholic churches and symbolism by the Marxist Black Lives Matter movement in the United States and by the state socialism facilitated Islamic agents in Western Europe. These are not all isolated coincidences, they are part of a coordinated campaign.

The Times (UK) reported on Becciu's dismissal today. They say that he was sacked prior to the Italian press making accusations of embezzlement, misuse of funds, and enriching the businesses owned by his numerous siblings and contacts by awarding contracts for work using the 'Peter's Pence' charitable funds. After his (partial) dismissal, Becciu took the unprecedented step, for a dismissed cardinal, to hold a press conference denying all accusations (to the astonishment even of the secular Times journalist). No mention was made of Pell who, it is believed, discovered all of this and reported it. Naturally in today's Church, it was he who ended up in court and not the culprit until his release when he (I would imagine) threatened to, or did, release the records that he presumably copied and retained. This isn't Francis 'turning over a new leaf', this is Francis in a corner doing as much for the culprit as he thinks he can get away with. What a bunch of evil, corrupt, self-seeking, cowardly, venal, unbelieving people stand at the head of the Church.
They do seem to be scandal prone. I'm reminded of Cardinal Cocopalmiero's book launch being scuppered by the news about the cocaine orgy. Maybe the God of Surprises is sending them a message.
Cardinal Pell praised Pope Francis - said something about the Pope playing the long game. Wouldn't it be nice if they would let us all in on the secret of what game they're actually playing and what are the rules. It looks rather like a Bishop version of whack-a-mole.

And it has now been fulfilled. Absolutely! But this spiritual interpretation does not exclude a physical/political interpretation. Or does it? And the great punishment alluded to above is not the Great Chastisement which is sent by Good sometime in the future. Or is it? Food for thought.
