Beth, yes, thankful for Sacrament of Confession. But I was also referring to the hierarchy of the Church. We need them to be accountable. I think we are in the stage of the chastisement where that is not going to happen. Unfortunately. We are not going back.
The word pride seems to be mentioned repeatedly by Luz De Maria in the messages she has been given and the dangers associated with it. It appears to be mentioned more so than any other sin for some reason.
I’m headed out to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception and will light a candle for us, all here, and pray And pray for the Church. And pray that we each have a very blessed Christmas with our families. So will talk to you later.
Have witnessed this existing among certain members of my extended family and it is horrible to look at. Things like competitiveness, vindictive success etc. which all seem to be rooted in pride. Competitiveness is one thing I've always been allergic to for some reason.
A lovely post. I was thinking and praying about this and the Scripture; te Words of Jesus came to me. Matthew 7:15-20 You Will Know Them by Their Fruits 15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them. Now in the first place what are the Fruits.? The Fruits, I suppose are peoples words and actions. What does Jesus mean by, 'Know' them? Well He means I believe we will know that the person who says and does such things is bad , just as His actions and words are bad. Take Adolph Hitler for instance. We know he was the architect of the deaths of six million Jews during the Shoah. These were his fruits. Since the fruits were so evil what then do we , 'Know', about Adolph? We know he was evil. The fruit never falls far from the tree. I admit I am a bit puzzled as to why calling someone like say, Adolph Hitler evil, is a cause of such concern? On the other hand we know that St Mother Teresa was a good person by her fruits and we say so. That is how we know a Saint, by their fruits. If we can openly say some was a holy person, why can we not say and evil person is an evil person, judging them in the same way by their fruits..as Jesus Advised?
I think this is a sign of the times -- the inability to see evil - A consequence of relativism - and of false compassion And the feminisation of our culture.
You can judge actions as good or bad. You can judge PF's actions as good or bad. As Ronald Reagan use to say, the fish rots from the head down. I refuse to stick my head in the sand like Mark Mallet and opus dei. The truth is the truth. Here is an excellent piece by Michael Voris.
Rash judgement is defined as: Unquestioning conviction about another person's bad conduct without adequate grounds for the judgment. The sinfulness of rash judgment lies in the hasty imprudence with which the critical appraisal is made and in the loss of reputation that a person suffers in the eyes of the one who judges adversely. I do not think that this applies to people who have questioned Pope Francis. We are now in the almost seventh year of his pontificate. Anyone who reads the news and prays the rosary knows that something is terribly wrong.
