I am baffled as to how Archbishop's Vigano's legal case with his brother has any logical relationship to his letter. Unless the Holy Father is making a simple smear along the lines, 'Because this guy is having trouble with his brother he can't be trusted. I knew this at the time but was too good to say so.' I don't know how else to take it. If so. It is illogical. Self serving. Unbelievable. Barefaced. Evasive Not worthy of a Christian let alone a Pope.
And now Pope Francis declares he is "Conservative" https://spiritdailyblog.com/news/po...sex-abuse-scandals-trump-and-his-conservatism He is coming out with some really big whoppers! Does he think his globalist leaning gestures are conservative? Does he think that his views on homosexuality or the "right size of a family is three children" or any of his other agenda's within the Church is being "conservative"? I guess maybe he feels limiting the family size so we don't over populate the world is his idea of being conservative if he is playing a numbers game.
The Pope is casting doubts. It is done all the time in a jury trial. Attorneys throw in statements that are designed to confuse or cause the jury to doubt testimony that has been introduced. PF has done this kind of drive by aggression many, many times. He has caused doubt or said things in a way that is not clear causing the lay faithful to question. Now on the surface, causing someone to question held beliefs isn't always a bad thing. But if all you do is cause doubt and confusion, I have to question that. If I have to do extensive mental gymnastics to make something fit into what I know to be true, then I don't go any further with it. I have not weighed in much on the Pope and Vatican antics. I am not that smart or do not have ANY authority to say whats what with the pope and his band of merry fellows. But I can decide for myself what I am willing to accept as uplifting behaviors from my Church authorities. The clergy is supposed to lead me to Heaven. They should be instructing me how to better my life and how to hone my thinking towards Christ. What I see, not everyone in the clergy but many, many in the higher clergy, are politicians leading high lifestyles and patting each other on the backs as they attempt to destroy the Church. It's like turning the channel on TV and seeing the same show on every channel. The politicians in the governments and the politicians in the Church...."when the Church and the world are one". The New Age/pagan propaganda that appears to be sweeping the world is disheartening and it makes me afraid at times. But I have learned to lean on the Scriptures and the traditions. If the pope says its now ok that remarried people can receive communion, that's not what the Scriptures say and so I stick to my faith. There are many examples as there is much confusion being sown now, everyday across the world. I just wish the pope and many of our bishops would stop playing politics and start acting like vessels of Our Lord I pray for the Pope. I pray for the Church.
That Peronist dictator pope is not to be trusted at all not even his words which frankly bordered on the smear. Disgusting as if he is the judge and the jury as well. I don't have to listen to him nor obey him now as my conscience is clear. I will not tolerate any priest/bishop or cardinal or a pope who try to smear any person anyway in the form of hidden way or subtle replies. It's very unchristian and unbecoming. Remember that pope was using his very own words 'the great accuser ' which was very subtle as it pointed to Vigano. In that sense, it tells us more about that pope himself.
Fr Malach Martin told me in 1995 that in ecclesiastical circles then Bishop Wuerl was known as Donna Wuerl. I have known about McCarick and his beach house romps since then also. PF to me is a liar and disgusting old man with an agenda but I do pray for his conversion.
https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=bobbing and weaving bobbing and weaving (Gerundial noun phrase). Literally, a series of movements executed in the sport of boxing in which one participant dodges and parries his opponent's punches by moving quickly back and forth, and up and down, so as not to present a stable target. Used figuratively to describe behavior that is less than straightforward, esp. in dealings with others. Niggaz be bobbing and weaving and shit, I ain't feelin' that, y'all need to come correct. #shady#straight-up#dubious#questionable#sketchy
Sigh. I am beginning to recall why I try to avoid the subject of Pope Francis and his various nefarious goings on. It puts my blood pressure up. He makes even Hillary Clinton look good. I must try and take a forgetful pill again.. let me forget, let me forget...let me pretend he's not there.
Coming from the "human dignity" over God's rights camp in the Vatican it is hardly surprising, in fact, it is simply par for the course.
I feel like the pressure cooker in the church and within the world is nearing that point where the steamer whistle is about to reach its pressure squeal. Our God is much more patient than any of us and we can be so ever grateful for such a merciful God. This is where I fail big time. There are day's when I say, "how long oh Lord". Lack of patience has always been my Achilles heel. Yet, I know I would be very patient with my children as well, hoping and praying for them to come around to accept the fullness of God's truth and love............. yet, the world and its gadgets are so powerful as this time. Yet, I am with you picadillo, I have little patience for leaders of our church to come back into the faith they left for all kinds of social justice and other reasons they choose to live apart from the truths of the faith in accepting and even desiring the applause of the world globalists and social justice elites.
Makes one wonder with all these things happening why one would be Catholic anymore, or even Christian. It does, on one level, cause one to doubt if anything is even real anymore with religion. And I am sure the "accuser" is loving that this is happening. I read on another thread someone had suggested that the faithful need to be around each other as much as possible as the world gets darker. Kind of a support system of like minded people. Going to daily mass or mass as much as possible is a very good suggestion. One of the prophecy's, Akita maybe, says the living will envy the dead. I am sure it means that literally but it could also mean the living (remnant faithful) will envy the dead (those given to their passions) because it is so much easier to let the mind go to the world. It's hard to constantly fight the currant the world is flowing down now. It's tiring. But fight I will. Because following Jesus gives such great joy
Interesting that you have met Martin. He's probably a goldmine of information re Wuerl and others as well. It does imply that previous popes knew it as well. His home two hours drive from here. It's a scenic county. Way back on a holiday visit to rome, i noticed the prositutes loitering around the Vatican or nearby the boundary line.I thought it was strange cos i was naive then. Then i met Fr Roux (french) as he was telling me that he used to work for the curia for some 20-30 years before he left. I got the impression that something in the curia pissed him off. Think he asked for an exemption which enabled him to leave and say latin mass. That was my first latin mass with him - never had one before until i met him. Fell away from Latin mass after that cos there was none in Ireland that time. Anyway, i stopped reading anything that's coming from P Francis as he's on my ignore list if you like. He (PF) loved stirring the pot which was his MO and diversion talks not answering the truth to reporters. Anything on tv on PF or the vatican ,i just switch it over to another channel. Also stopped reading websites that talked about PF, for example onepeterfive or other likewise websites.
Yes, and it's far, far from being remotely Christian. Meanwhile, the plan to turn Catholicism into a Protestant-style loose confederation of national churches gathers pace: https://www.ncregister.com/daily-ne...-constitution-would-reform-lines-of-authority And this conjures up an image of Nero fiddling while Rome burned: https://twitter.com/EdwardPentin/status/1133100051742560256 Silence as Catholic churches are being burned to the ground and Catholics slaughtered across the world while our hierarchy brown-nose population controllers like these: https://twitter.com/EdwardPentin/status/1133093750216056833 I don't know what to make of it. I get angry and then worry that I've over-stepped the bounds of what it means to be in Communion with the Bishops and Pope. There are times I ask myself what's the point of being Catholic if the faith matters so little to the successors of the Apostles - so little that it can be changed at the whim of a Pope or group of Bishops? I can go down the pub, go to a political rally or simply turn on the TV news to hear the gospel of Jeffrey Sachs, yet that's all our Church stands for these days as the world is thirsting for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank God we have some good priests who are concerned with saving souls - priests who remind us why we're Catholic and back it up by their example - otherwise I fear that I would have voted with my feet after the "forgotten great" scandal.
God will provide. Remember, in times like these great Saints are made. I would say that the Graces that God will provide to those who love Him will be enough. I can not imagine anyone who is faithful to God envying those who have given themselves over to the world regardless of the state of things. That said, Jesus Himself asked; do we think He would find Faith on earth when he returns. I say NO. The Faith will be a remnant, likely underground just as it was at the time of His founding His Church.
I was reading the most interesting conversion story concerning a gentleman in a prison in the USA the day before last. He had been the worse of the worse, you name it he did it and was very, very lucky indeed to escape the electric chair. Anyway he converted inside and goodness did he convert, saying the rosary constantly, total reform of life, fasting, penance , setting up a huge prayer group in prison. But he said one thing that struck home to me. On looking at the prisoners he realised that they were, 'Zombies', the living dead in that they were spiritually dead inside. But then he went one step forward; he looked at the Prison Guards and he saw to his huge surprise that they were Zombies too. So this inspired him , like Sts Franceso , Jacinta and Sr Lucia to fast and do Penance for their salvation. Well it's the same with us as we look at the world; it's full of Zombies, the spiritually dead. But worse if we look at the Guards, the Shepherds....well many of them are Zombies; spiritually dead too! They may be good at politics, organising, building, talking or whatever...but dead as the deadest doornails inside.
The only human dignity worth even considering resides in the simple truth that we are created in the image and likeness of God to know Him, love Him, and serve Him. Throw that out as the modernists did long ago and there simply is no dignity of man left worth even mentioning. All filth and all depravity becomes acceptable due to our so called inherent dignity and mankind races yet again toward the lowest common denominator. As it was in the time of Noe so shall it be in the time of Christs return. I don't want to be in communion with anyone or anything that rallies behind the notion that man's inherent dignity affords us anything except the fear of the Lord. The world sadly is not thirsting for the Truth Dolours, it is thirsting for exactly what men such as Francis and 90% of the Bishops are giving it and they know it.
Yes. We must pray. God help Pope Francis. We would NOT want to be in his shoes for a whole number of reasons.
But, Don, they are thirsting for the Truth. They just don't know it and fill the void by latching on to whatever makes them feel good and in control. With the natural law written on our hearts, we are hard-wired to try to find our way back to God, and the only way to the Father is through Jesus. Every human being has a God-given right to hear the Gospel, and Jesus commissioned the Apostles to go and baptise all nations. Our hierarchy have replaced that right with "rights" invented by men. Saturday is the First Saturday of the month. With my very accommodating conscience, I had lulled myself into believing that I was within the boundaries when criticising this dreadful papacy provided I did so with as much fairness as I could muster and didn't deny an article of Faith. That's more or less the advice I have received from a few different priests although they put stress on charity, so I knew that calling the Bishops a waste of space or deciding that Francis was an Anti0Pope required a trip to the confessional. Seeing how meticulous Praetorian is about how we should conduct ourselves, I was beginning to have niggling doubts, but now I'm in a real mess because I haven't got it in me to see anything but malevolence in the way the Pope steered the press towards a smear campaign on Archbishop Vigano. And I can't be sorry for seeing what's staring me in the face. Now I'm plagued with doubts that I wasn't clear enough in previous confessions. I'm feeling guilty and cheated at the same time. Anyway, I did get a chuckle reading about the Pope telling the journalists how much he trusted them and how honest they were. That the secular press had been misquoting him or putting a false spin on what the Pope said has been a fall-back excuse for some Catholic journalists, apologists and priests whenever he said something they couldn't explain away. Who will they blame after the next in-flight press conference?
BOMBSHELL: Dr. Peter Kwasniewski, most respected English-speaking Trad theologian and liturgist, vigorously acknowledges Pope Benedict’s resignation is highly suspect in terms of validity Ann BarnhardtMay 29, ARSH 2019 https://www.barnhardt.biz/2019/05/2...ation-is-highly-suspect-in-terms-of-validity/ Dr. Peter Kwasniewski has, apparently, come on-side. I am not surprised in the least. Dr. Kwasniewski is a genuinely GOOD MAN. He is a husband and father, and one of the most charitable people I have ever met (he never says a bad word about ANYONE – something I wish I could claim of myself, but cannot). I have met Dr. Kwasniewski twice over the years, and found him to be completely sincere, and detected not a WHIFF of elitism nor “liturgical fetishism” in him. Dr. Kwasniewski is a married man with children, so, let the reader understand the point being made. Both times that I saw him speak, years ago, it was obvious that he had what I often refer to as “a personal relationship with Jesus Christ”. He loves Our Lord and His Holy Church, and the Liturgies of The Church (Mass/Divine Liturgy, Divine Office) because he loves Our Lord. Full stop. Given this, it is not surprising that Dr. Kwasniewski would, after reading the English translation of Antonio Socci’s book, “The Secret of Benedict XVI: Is He Still the Pope?”, published just a few days ago, instantly recognize the TRUTH, and be attracted to it, because, after all, the Truth is a Person, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When you love Someone, you recognize Him when you see Him, and you go to Him, no matter what the earthly consequences. I reprint here, in full, Dr. Kwasniewski’s Amazon.com review of Antonio Socci’s book “The Secret of Benedict XVI: Is He Still the Pope?” Pray for Dr. Kwasniewski, as he will no doubt receive all kinds of blow-back over this. Folks, the “Trad, Inc.” people who have launched a calumny campaign against me, admittedly being a person who has made myself a target over the years with the force of my rhetoric and willingness to do what the Prayer After Confession says and “avoid all evil company”, DARE NOT say ONE WORD against Dr. Kwasniewski. If they do, may God Almighty verily have mercy on them, because that would be going just about as low as one could possibly go. Dr. Kwasniewski’s Amazon.com review, in full, emphases mine: (FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS) Ever been troubled by what looks like two Popes at the Vatican? I read this book expecting to be a little skeptical of an author who would argue that Benedict XVI did not validly resign the papacy. After all, it sure looked as if he intended to do that in his famous speech of abdication, and the world seems to have accepted it as such. Socci, however, persuaded me otherwise with his careful analysis of Benedict’s XVI’s various utterances on the subject (and there are a surprising number of them!), Archbishop Gaenswein’s speeches, and, above all, the interpretations of canon lawyers — none of them traditionalists, by the way — who have proved in detail that the resignation lacks several conditions for validity. The argument is not based on the St. Gallen Mafia, but on the inherent actions and statements of Benedict XVI and others, all publicly available. In other words, this is no “conspiracy theory” but a soberly argued case. Even those who think they have a watertight case in favor of validity should, out of intellectual honesty, grapple with what Socci presents here. If they can defeat his arguments, all the better for the defense of truth. If they cannot or will not, however, this would seem to indicate a moral or mental weakness. That is not the only aspect of this book I would praise. I also find much food for thought and prayer in Socci’s speculations about the prophetic message of Fatima and his spiritual-theological interpretation of the unprecedented situation in the Catholic Church. While I find his interpretation of Benedict XVI’s motivations overly positive, I think the way he tries to place current events in a prophetic and specifically Marian context is extremely helpful. In short: highly recommended.
