That is beautiful. It is a great, great blessing to be familiar with what the Scriptures do say. Christ said it, the Church wrote it down under the inspiration of the Spirit and later canonized it, so if you want to know what the Church truly says about marriage, look at the Scriptures. Obviously the Church giving us good things doesn't close with Scripture, but it does include it.
I wonder would Voris have the same attitude if Cardinal McCarrick or Cardinal Dolan had been elected Pope and were making "who am I to judge" statements or decentralising the Church to the stage where Catholicism is whatever the local Bishop believes. Does he think that only US Bishops were borderline heretics? Some gay rights activisit in Argentina is reported to have claimed that then-Cardinal Bergoglio told him that as Cardinal he was obliged to speak out against gay marriage but he didn't really believe what he was saying (words to that effect - it shouldn't be hard to find the report on the net).
Thank you Dolours. Here it is: https://www.cnn.com/2013/03/20/world/americas/argentina-pope-civil-unions/index.html
All of the current ridiculousness that is going on is simply destroying the Catholicity of the Church. There are things that are true and there are things that are not. Truth cannot be left up to the local bishop to decide. Either Protestants have a right to receive Holy Communion or they don't. Either unrepentant adulterer's have a right to receive Holy Communion or they don't. If they don't have a right to receive then no bishop should allow it. If they do have a right to receive then no bishop should stand in their way. This is simply dissolving the unity of the Catholic Church.
It's what Father John Hardon S.J. called "situation ethics" founded within the Jesuit order and apparently live and well within the Vatican.
We need to pray for the German Bishops and for the Pope who permits this (and likely has encouraged it if the truth be known): http://www.catholicherald.co.uk/new...ouses-to-receive-communion-at-jubilee-masses/ We need to pray especially for faithful German Catholics who must wonder whether their Bishops are in competition to be the False Prophet of Revelation.
Looking at all the heretics crawl out from under the rocks since 2013, I marvel at how Cardinal Muller managed to do his job as prefect of the CDF and I'm not surprised that Pope Benedict hadn't the strength to carry on. A secular analogy would be something along the lines of being Chairman and CEO of a company like Coca Cola knowing that half your board members, senior executives and middle management were promoting Pepsi as a superior product, with more than a few of them determined to destroy the company altogether and spreading rumours about your incompetence to their journalist friends while hatching plans for your removal.
He's baa-aack! One must have Damascus experience it seems to realize that the environment is responding to all the sin that causes the natural order to "rumble" and rebel against it. Seems everything is remedied via some "radical" material or human manner these days....not the Word nor anything within the spiritual dimension being applied instead. Pope Francis: ‘Radical Change’ Needed Now to Beat Global Warming Pope Francis called on humanity to hear “the increasingly desperate cries of the earth” Friday, insisting that immediate action is needed to save the planet from being reduced to “rubble.” Speaking in the Vatican to participants at the international conference “Saving our Common Home and the Future of Life on Earth” in commemoration of the third anniversary of his encyclical letter on the environment “Laudato sí,” the pope stressed the “urgent need” for an “ecological conversion” as well as “concrete steps to save the planet.” Our planet “needs urgently to be repaired and secured for a sustainable future,” the pontiff warned, without going into details. Reiterating previous calls to action, Francis asserted that today “the pace of consumption, waste and environmental change has so stretched the planet’s capacity that our contemporary lifestyle, unsustainable as it is, can only precipitate catastrophes, such as those which even now periodically occur in different areas of the world.” “There is a real danger that we will leave future generations only rubble, deserts and refuse,” he said, and “the effects of the present imbalance can only be reduced by our decisive action, here and now.” On the practical level, the pope urged nations to “honor the commitments made in Paris, in order to avoid the worst consequences of the climate crisis,” referring to the COP21 Paris climate accord and its call for dramatic reduction in emission of greenhouse gases. He also gave a plug for the next such conference, the COP24 Summit, to be held in Katowice, Poland, in December, which he said “could prove a milestone on the path set out by the 2015 Paris Agreement.” Along with the COP meetings, Francis noted the Global Climate Action Summit, to be held from 12-14 September in San Francisco, which he trusts “will provide suitable responses, with the support of citizens’ pressure groups worldwide.” Religions, and the Christian Churches in particular, “have a key role to play” in the fight for the planet, Francis said, holding up the “Day of Prayer for Creation” as an especially apt Christian response to the climate crisis. Present circumstances require “radical change,” the pontiff said, if humanity is to win the battle for the planet. Some Catholic prelates, while endorsing the pope’s message on responsible stewardship of creation, have distanced themselves from the more political aspects of climate change activism, insisting that Christian doctrine supports the former while leaving the latter open for honest debate. Bishop Thomas J. Tobin of the Diocese of Providence, for instance, said last month that one can “support the faith-filled vision of ‘Laudato Si’ without necessarily endorsing the Paris Climate Accord,” since the first “is a comprehensive statement of faith; the second a political agreement.” https://www.breitbart.com/national-...cal-change-needed-now-to-beat-global-warming/
I used to believe in Climate Change myself, so I can sympthasise with the Holy Father's views. It was only through encountering people who expressed doubts that I started to go into the matter more and ..well... I doubt it very much now. I wonder if the manner the Holy Father expresses himself on this matter is rather too Evangelical, rather like a tenet of a Religious Doctrine itself? It is of course one of the dearest children of the Liberal Elite. But then again the more I know , the less I know. The Holy Father could well be right on this and I myself by totally , totally wrong. I am very open to this. But being open to being wrong on matters that are not Religious Doctrines is maybe not a place to be. We so often need great, great humility in the face of such grave matters. The difficulty seems to be that the Holy Father does not appear to be open to doubt on this Great Matter. He appears so zealous and utterly, utterly convinced. Like an Apostle of Global who , like Moses was passed on the truth directly from God on Mount Sinai. I find this very unsettling. Yes of course we are custodians of the planet, but are we called by God Himself to support the theory of Global Warming? I think not. But then again perhaps he is totally right. I suppose time will tell. But I suppose I will be long, long dead before any of us knows for sure one way or the other. But indeed maybe he's right. Who Knows? Maye again he's wrong; who knows that either? So I won't get too hot under the collar either way. I just wish he felt open to doubt the same way.
The Holy Father should be spending his efforts first on the state of the soul. This is what is eternal. This is what I want the leader of Christ's divinely instituted Church to be focusing on. If man's theology were Christ centered all else would fall into place. Much of the confusion in the world today and in the Church, are due to lack of priorities. Put God's eternal truths first and all other factors of society and world concerns will be in order. Pope Francis is adding to the confusion by stepping into the globalists ideologies. Giving them added cover for their real agenda. Population control in the Nazi way. And what he seems to be completely clueless about is these people have no respect for the one true God and his laws of nature, ecology or for that matter human life. Their world is more in line with the Antichrist then Christ's.
Another thing, when it comes to the use of the word "radical" in just about every point this Pope emphasizes, is that he advertises his ignorance of the complexity of things....that which is contained in and has lead up to the state of the world today. Using such terms alienates those who, in so many ways, have generously shared their expertise and good will with those countries struggling with real problems, often due to ignorance and dictators who, when benefitting from such "largesse" types of organizations such as the UN, use it for their own means and luxurious lifestyles while it never gets to the people in any way, without oversight or any consequences for their waste. That kind of problem that is everywhere today seems never to be called out by this Pope as a kind of grave sin against the most vulnerable. And what's that "radical" solution for such embedded sin? More materials that go completely without any responsibility? And such problems have existed forever....not suddenly arrived due to some new climate involvement. I know when some coastal SA countries suffer dearly due to that el nino problem that effects the Humboldt current and then puts the main means of making a living, fishing (for anchovies) out of reach, Canadian groups dealt with the govt. and some missionaries to irrigate the desert valley so the people could change to a kind of agriculture. There is not one "radical" kind of change that would solve all such problems that are nothing new BTW and which occur in different ways and different times. When you look to the world today, esp. with its monied and empowered elitists, who use the vulnerable and ignorant ones to create the chaos everywhere with their loud but deliberately uninformed demands while they're paid off by such as Soros and company, you see the real major cause for the overwhelming diabolical disorientation, esp. of the mind. Those are the "radicals" with their own refusal to face the repercussions of their selfish extreme ways of acting. And how many UN representatives in places like the Sudan have been reported for demanding sexual favors from girls fleeing from Moslem terrorists before they were given even a loaf of bread? It's defective human nature left to itself without any understanding of the Divine Will because they are starving for the Word that cannot be saved by any "radical" new solution. This Pope wants his priests out on the fringes...but seems to be leaving them there unarmed and in a dilemma as to just "weapons" they are to use when dealing with real sin. Reminds me of Obama throwing a limited number of military into terroristic circumstances, making them sitting ducks, after announcing to the enemy their rules of engagement that have tied their hands behind their backs, while also announcing their numbers, plan of action, and times of entry and leaving. No normal goals of battle permitted! And how many examples of remnant Faithful, in Truth, through sacrifice and obedience, and love have been labeled themselves and made to feel that they now represent some "fringe" of "radical" extremism and judgmentalism by this same Pope for their lack of acceptance of such "new ways" of materialism? It's nothing short of the Alinsky approach used by such pols as Obama and Hillary.....label groups of good will, repeat accusations over and over against them via the propaganda media and dismiss those who hinder their goal of materialistic atheism completely void of morality and real law. And one can't avoid one's own involvement by tossing in a few declarations of the devil's existence when actions or words speak otherwise to the world; iow, by actions that actually enable that "devil's" goals.
From the very latest message to Luz de Maria.....as yet to be properly translated: .... The Organizations that set the tone for governments and Humanity have committed themselves to evil and sin, stealthily introducing into My People the habit of practicing sin, starting with the little ones and then continuing with the youth, to which they have united the rest of Humanity. My beloved, at this moment, within most of the world organizations, the infiltration of Freemasonry and the sects that accompany it have taken the power of decision, being the great platform that awaits the imposter.
I like how Donald Trump said it during one of the debates (I’m paraphrasing): the only climate change we should be worried about is that of a nuclear nature. Somehow I doubt the angel with the flaming sword in the vision of Fatima was threatening us with “global warming.” More like nuclear chastisement, and Pope Benedict in his commentary on the Third Secret stated that this is exactly what it is talking about because it is humanity that has fashioned the flaming sword held by the angel.
