So all the rabidly anti Catholic evangelicals can point and say “see! We told you.” This a kind if scourge across the heart of the Church. Who can deny we are in the Passion of the Bride of Christ just as JPII predicted.

This is Holy Week. On Good Friday, we remember Our Lord's descent into Hell, as recounted in the Gospels and the Creed.

Now our Pope allegedly intimates that Our Lord God, Jesus Christ, went on a wild goose chase after having died for nothing.

They might be rabidly anti-Catholic, but we need their criticism at this juncture. Anything in the media that can counter this heresy is welcome. If our own Church refuses to counter this heresy, we can be glad that there are others who will.

Do as you will, there are no negative consequences, except perhaps for about-to-disappear rigid, neo-pelagian traditionalists.

We will never disappear. God is with us. If He is with us who can be against us?

To rework one of Churchill's speeches:

We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in the news, we shall fight on the forums and comboxes, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in The Lord, we shall defend our Faith, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight in the seminaries, we shall fight in the Church, we shall fight with the aid of prayer and the Rosary, we shall fight with the power of the Eucharist; we shall never surrender!

Dolours, Thank you for posting this.

I think that the following comment on this article is very good ,
"I heard that Benedict texted his reply, ROTFL, which the Vatican edited as Really Omniscient Theology by Francis - Laudable."

Here is Laurence England's latest video,

DeGaulle, Exactly, no inferno then no one gets burned. Yikes.

  9. Something to offer the Divine Mercy Novena up for, starting tomorrow. There will never be peace until the world (including the Church) recognizes His unfathomable Mercy....humbles itself, repents, and asks for it.

We've known it all along. Universal salvation=the ultimate mercy from the pope who has lost his faith

Universalism leads to an appalling vista. If all men are saved regardless of their behaviour, this would imply that God created a universe that contains much suffering, itself the consequence of sin, all for nothing, as He could just as easily have taken us into Heaven directly, in our state of Original Sin without all this futile historical palaver. The horrendous effect would be to render all suffering as meaningless. As the Creator of purposeless suffering, the only conclusion could be that God would be Evil.

Of course, True Catholic Doctrine has always taught that suffering possesses a purpose in our salvation. It is hard to conceive of anything worth doing that doesn't require some suffering. The liberal, progressivist viewpoint is to be utterly repelled by suffering. Its advocates do not even like to think about it. They cannot abide being in the same room as it. This might be the principle reason for their passion for euthanasia-suffering, the ultimate shame in their eyes, must be avoided at all costs. Perhaps this is why this subject had to be introduced right at the moment of our approaching the day when we annually commemorate Suffering.

The best way for us to deal with this travesty might be to meditate upon Our Lord's suffering on the Cross, in order to save from Hell those among us who wish to side with Him.

  12. Except for that special group that just goes "poof" in the end!:sneaky: More encouragement for those who just want to check out into nothingness to escape their current misery....or even those who may wish to take a lot of people with them just to have their last hurrah here!!

    GOD ALL-FRIGHTY
Vatican worshippers showered with falling chunks of plaster from ceiling of St Peter’s Basilica

THE Vatican sealed off part of St Peter's Basilica after chunks of plaster rained down on worshippers at the height of the Easter holiday season.

No one was injured by the falling plaster, which fell near Michelangelo's famed Pieta statue, near the main entrance.

Vatican spokesman Greg Burke said repairmen were brought into to secure the site and the basilica remained open for business.

Holy Week sees floods of pilgrims and tourists visiting St Peter's, particularly to see Pope Francis.

The ceremonies are capped by Easter Sunday celebrations outside in St Peter's Square.

Given the title of this thread, can Padraig call himself a prophet? I suppose Dean wouldn't be convinced because Padraig didn't say the Vatican will fall on March 29th.

I expect the Holy See to put it down to climate change. Brings a whole new meaning to caring for our common home.

If the Pope did not make remarks similar to those Scalfari is attributing to him, then Scalfari is a perpetrator of Fake News. In fact it would be Fake News of the worst kind. Scalfari is claiming in effect that the Pope of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church holds heretical beliefs and denies at least some tenets of the faith. That is quite a bit of Fake News to be publishing.

We know Pope Francis has spoken very, very strongly against Fake News time and again. So I think it would be only logical to assume that if this story is untrue then the Pope will have nothing further to do with Scalfari after this.

Very true DeGaulle, I think it reminds people of their mortality and in turn their lack of belief or faith in God and the state of their immortal souls. Want to find out who your real friends are? Become chronically sick with a disease and suffer. It will become very clear.
