By the way, there are no bad feelings about people leaving the forum. I saw a time when I would ahve done so myself. As I say times are very confusing.I never jump to the conclusion that just because people think differently than me that they are bad people. I hope that you in your turn will extend to me the same loving courtesy. I am especially grateful to Our Lord and His Blessed Mother for giving me this chance to share in humiliations and bringing me down to Earth. People had far, far ,far too high an opinion of me in the past and placed me on a pedestal. Now there will be only bad things to say and rejection. Thank God for this. I am always and was always only the poorest and lowest of sinners. I am so happy that people are waking up to this. It fills me with joy that the truth at last is known.. May God grant me more humilations and insults , much, much more rejection so I may lie in the gutter where I, a great sinner, properly belong. I am hopeful my two dogs will stay aboard , as Mary promised. I am unsure as they giving me funny looks. But if they don't stay they are getting no walks or food!
I'm not throwing darts at you, neither do I think the Pope is a heretic. I do think that he could be a little more circumspect. Apart from casting doubt on what has been accepted Church teaching since the time of the Apostles, I have a problem, too, with the Pope giving numerous interviews to an atheist journalist. There has to come a point where it's time to shake the dust from his feet. If it's ok for the Pope to discuss this with professed atheists, why isn't it ok for us to discuss it with other Catholics without accusing each other of being unfaithful?
I believe I may have a remedy for the current dilemma of this thread. Most of us believe in the Church approved apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima, Well Sister Lucia stated in her fourth memoir, which was written from October-December 1941, that........"In Portugal, the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved". So all we have to do is follow the Bishops of Portugal!!!!! Sister Lucy copied the first two parts of the Secret from the text of her third memoir, but added a sentence that is not found there. Sister Lucy gave us the first sentence of the Third Secret when she inserted into her fourth memoir the phrase "In Portugal, the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved etc." This sentence had not appeared in her previous memoir. Sister Lucy may have purposely inserted it into her fourth memoir to indicate to us what the final part of the Secret is about! Have no fear, trust, Love, sacrifice, visit Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament and say the Rosary but first lead good lives I repeat, All we have to do is follow the Bishops of Portugal! Do you honestly think any Priest or Bishop or Cardinal who speaks out will not pay some kind of price for doing so? Do you honestly not think many in the clergy are frightened to open their mouths for fear of repercusions? The best way of not getting your butt shot off is to stay in your fox hole and stay still or you'l get your ass shot off. So most are keeping their heads down and hoping it all, somehow, goes away. I will not place myself above the teaching authority of the Magisterium but I grieve for the simplicity of Benedict. Am I alone as the darkness grows to feel lost even orphaned by my lord. This last year for me has been so painful so many trials. Not looking for sympathy but that is the truth a year of grief and loss. After the trauma of Paris and what it threatens (I am a child of the troubles in NIrealand) the world is being sifted. I hear so loudly in my heart "Those who should speak are silent" my friends of this beloved forum where once I found answers ,strength and hope now I am saddened by the loss of members and discord. I started with we cannot all be right ... I truthfully can say none are completely wrong only a St Catherine of Siena could boldly call out truth. Pope Francis confuses me I said it. Padraig, Im not aware of any Priest, Bishop or Cardinal wo has been silenced by Pope Francis. I frequently view solid Catholic news sites and have not seen any reports on these claims. On the other hand, Pope Francis for the year of Mercy will allow the SSPX society to absolve sins. I am with you Ignacio. It is a confusing time and I fear this is only the beginning. For you or anyone else who is fearful here is some encouragement: The Lord saw this confusion coming and He has given us a lifeline. It is the Blessed Mother. Just pray your Rosary and wear your Scapular and she will take care of the rest. Yes, do your best to understand, but if you can't right now then be happy because God has given you the intellect and information He wishes you to have at this point for whatever mission He has planned for your life.
Sadly we are at the passing of the ways. Many are going to follow blindly those who walk into the darkness. As Jesus warned us the World loves Darkness and loves those who join it in its path.
You know, it occurs to me that if a forum such as this existed at the time of Vatican II, many such terrible things would have been said about (now) St. John XXIII. God help us.
Whereas the World hates those who proclaim the Gospel and the Gospel values. We must join in prayer for those who follow Darkness into the Outer Dark. There used to be a prayer in the old missal (long since disgarded ) a prayer for martydom, for its great grace. We should pray this again. The wolves both from within and without the Church are about to fall upon us.
