It's truly incredible when you can palpably feel the Holy Spirit move in your life. My 16 y/o shared with us yesterday that she was the only one at her school lunch table not invited to another girls party this weekend. I know in the scheme of life, especially with such real and horrible tragedies happening all over the place, that this is minor. But to a teen girl, it's awful- and to her father it's painful to know it's hurting her. We talked about it on drive to school today and she is a stoic girl, and will be fine. But after dropping her off, I was so angry at the other girl and even wondered about the parents involvement. I was really working my self up and then the bolt of Holy Spirit grace came out of no where! I was in no way thinking about this. The message I got very clearly was along the lines of listen, quiet down my creature. I know you are pained because your little one is hurting - you are hurting for her and want to fix and heal her. You, my creature who are imperfect, you who are a sinner, seek to heal her pain. Think of how, I your God are pained and hurt because I see you in your own pain and in your own sin. I feel and know it and I am here to Heal and to Love. Despite your imperfection, you still try and love. Continue and know I Am Love. Put away the anger, and love. It is the only way to healing and peace. By the time I drove home, tears were down my cheeks. I thought how much I try to love my kids, wide and others and yet it's not one iota of. God's love for us. So I said a prayer for the young girl who is having the party tonight and for my daughter to better love them and to ask God to let them experience His enormous love for them.
