She also describes Jesus coming out on the altar to say Mass and the Blessed Mother and the angels are with Him but the Mass is very short and has none of the trappings of the TLM. She said the beautiful Cathedral was in ruins--all but the altar. The demolition squad could not reach it. I must look it up to be sure I am reporting accurately. I remember being struck by it when I read it some years ago.

I share your concerns Garabandal. A few years ago I was so deeply distressed. Now I seem to just take each day as it comes begging for the grace to not add to the weight of sin on the world. I am grateful to have daily Mass and frequent confession with good priests and friends who pray the Rosary and intercede for the Church and the world. Much of what you are experiencing in Ireland right now we endured 15 to 20 years ago. It bled the strength right out of me. But the Blessed Mother pulled me through. In spite of seeing all my nearest and dearest turn their backs on the Church. I thoroughly identified with Michael OBrien in the wonderful interview that was posted here when he spoke of his near despair over everything but God spoke to his heart. I took great comfort from his words. This is a purification of the deepest most cleansing sort. We are being scraped down to the bone. It is excruciating. We are climbing Golgotha now with Jesus. I know no other way to look at it.

One used to know a Catholic by what they believed.

Now Catholics are free to believe what ever they want.
Did you read what I said? In my first line I actually said I don't denegrate the New Mass!

My comment was not about the Mass but the disintegration of the Catholic faith in the last 50 years.

Yes. There al.most has to be a secret handshake to identify a true Catholic. Catholics are all over the map these days. And take offense if you adhere to the Church's ancient magisterium. So unsettling. It is a lonely pilgrimage.

The Rosary is the weapon for our era -- it will keep the faith alive in our hearts.

Michael O'Brien is indeed an inspiration to me as are many on this forum are-- how lonely would we be without this online fellowship to express our views, get advice and support one another through thick and thin!

Amen! Yes the Rosary is the golden chain that binds me/us to the narrow way. The Blessed Mother does not desert her children.

I don't think it was an experiment. I think it was deliberate. It's the fulfillment of the prophecy given to Leo XIII and what the Blessed Mother gave to us at LaSalette, Fatima,. and Quito, and more. It's Luciferian and Masonic in origin. The outer trappings are going, but we are still here, the remnant Church, reciting the rosary each day.
All is being fulfilled. It has to come to pass. I went through a similar time, like what AED describes. It involved a difficulty in accepting some of the changes. But ultimately, I was granted the grace of peace over it all. It's a daily walk and struggle, I grant you. And I AM sorry that we all feel that way. It's a grief of loss. But I believe, as you do, that there will be no turning back until all is fulfilled in God's time and in God's way, until the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart.
Remember the hallmarks of the Church, One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic. It's hard to recognize them now.

    Imagine the Luciferians finally
havi ng the seat of power of their great enemy the Catholic Church only to find dust and ashes in their hands. Brick and mortar but nothing else. while like little
tongues of fire shining in the dark Rosaries are going up, and reparation is being offered, and sacrifices are being endured for the love of Christ. And the Blessed Mother and the Angels gather them up....
A pyrrhic victory for these sad doomed lost souls.

This is all so disheartening to hear. At the same time I feel blessed beyond words to describe how grateful I am to be able to read all of your comments and concerns. I feel I am still so ignorant of all that has been happening in our Church and ignorant of all that has been prophesied over the last 1 to 2 centuries. Yet our Merciful Mother and Her Son have guided me here (even to this forum on MOG). Since I gave my life to Jesus through Mary (33 steps, DeMontforte) in 2009 literally all hell has come upon me and my family. As Mary has guided me along this prolonged path of suffering- and when I wasn’t so entrenched in my own self pity- I can look back on the beauty of the Mass (NO) and it’s tremendous graces primarily through constant reception of the sacraments and daily offering of my whole being to Christ through His Holy Mother (and reciting the daily Rosary) that have finally allowed me to see where She has been guiding me. I have grown beyond words through this suffering. I believe firmly that the Catholic Church is being purified through its own crucifixion. It is truly undergoing profound suffering in order to be “resurrected” into the Glorious Church that God intended it to always become. Like Christ- who had to suffer before being Gloriously resurrected- so too our Church must suffer tremendously before shining as gold for the world to see. It doesn’t matter to me at this point if the changes from the TLM to NO was inspired by good or evil. What matters to me is that I have the Holy Church available to participate in the sacrifice of Calvary as often as I can. The Church where I can come to receive the sacraments- especially Jesus’ body, blood, soul and divinity in the Holy Eucharist - and that I’m there to participate - especially through my prayers and suffering - in the purification of The Church that God has set in motion and ordained to come to pass. I fear that our beloved Church and the celebration of The Holy Mass - in either form (TLM or NO) - in the very near future will be very difficult to attend - and we will likely be persecuted for trying to do so. I just hope I have been mercifully granted enough graces that will protect me and my family when that time arrives.

I don't think the Amazon Synod will be the culmination, but it will surely be the spring board that will bounce even more liturgical errors into holy mother church. I can see other Synod follow-ups soon after the Amazon one. They will trickle the abuses in like the boiling frog syndrome until Catholics are dumbed down to accept all the feel good applications coming. The Schism is coming soon.

I liked Steve Skojec's article more than I thought that I would especially after I read the following title of one the sections of the article "Novusordoism and Catholicism — Not the Same Religion". This subtitle really turned me off and made it difficult to continue reading the article but I eventually did. Although, I am still not exactly sure what Novusordoism is.

I also read through most of the posts on this thread and of course, I realize that most of us are concerned about what is occurring in the Church and in the world today but we still need to be careful about where we are being tempted to run and I don't mean toward the TLM which in itself I think would be a good thing.

Most of us try our best to interpret certain prophecies. It is no secret, that some of us have interpreted La Salette in a way which truly questions Vatican II and the Novus Ordo mass. Therefore, we would be kidding ourselves not to realize that some on the forum may, in fact, be rad-trads or at the least they are dabbling in it as I think that some authors of traditional Catholic blogs/news sources are doing on the Internet. As a result, some Catholics like myself are weary of reading some of the writings of such and rightfully so.

I don't think that I am going to change anyone's opinion about these things and I do believe that everyone has the right to their own opinion but just as I have been warned in the past by members on the forum about certain rad-trad sites, I appreciate members warning me of those who appear to be dabbling in rad-trad theories also and at times I feel compelled to do the same.

I hate lazy phrases like rad trad.

Unless you define what it means it can mean anything given different perspectives.

Even the altar boy who had his hands "stuck together" & admonished by Pope Francis could be considered a rad trad in this pontificate:whistle:

  19. Carol55

    Carol55 Ave Maria

garabandal, There is a huge difference between a traditional Catholic and a radical traditional Catholic.

When I used the term rad-trad I was referring to those who do not accept Vatican II or the Novus Ordo mass. I thought that was clear from my post and I apologize that it was not. I should also mention that I usually do not use the term rad-trad.

You are correct that there are many definitions of a rad-trad but I do not at all consider that altar boy a rad-trad for holding his hands in prayer.

Many rad-trads also do not accept many, if not all, of the popes during and after Vatican II.

The following link also explains that, “Radical traditionalist” Catholics, who may make up the largest single group of serious antisemites in America, subscribe to an ideology that is rejected by the Vatican and some 70 million mainstream American Catholics. https://www.splcenter.org/fighting-hate/extremist-files/ideology/radical-traditional-Catholicism I was not familiar with this statistic, in particular but I hope that it is incorrect - I mean the part about "largest single group of serious antisemites in America".

A great example of the validity of the NO and great respect for the TLM as well is a favorite Priest of mine. While he celebrates in the NO form and has commented with me some details in some parishes which are not correct with the Canon and are downright protestant. He shared it in light of being in a position to correct one parish.

He also has great respect for the TLM. When I told him I was thinking of attending my first Latin Mass, he strongly encouraged me to go as an observer the first time. Take it in without trying to follow along.
