Today is the Feast of the Miraculous Medal. What a wonderful gift to us from our Blessed Mother. I have had the privilege to visit the chapel and attend mass on the Rue de Bac in Paris where Mary appeared to St. Catherine de Labare. A truly holy, peace filled place. Oh Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.

Did you know that when apprently Our Lady appeared at the Rue Du Bac in Paris, it was a kind of failure because the clerical autoritiesin Paris rejected her requests..and so later she moved on and had her wished fulfilled down in Loudres? Where they did as she wished. But it they had done as she requested In Paris, Paris would have been the Lourdes of France. Another thing St Catherine Laboure is one of the very few instances of an anoymous visionary. Very,very few people knew that she was the one who saw Our LAdy. A few guessed but very few knew. Her humility caused her to stay hidden. I would say generally I am suspicious of anonymous visionaries but St Catheirne is an exception that proves the rule.
