This report is just more confirmation that the Vatican is playing coverup.

    To blame Vigano is deplorable....

Blame the whistleblower doesn't work anymore.

The report should have addressed why McCarrick rose to power so fast (did other Bishops have similar proclivities?) , and McCarrick's influence on "making" other like-minded Bishops. Why was McCarrick protected for so long? Blackmail? The lavender mafia should not exist, and soils the Bride of Christ.

Why is none of this dealt with in the report? Because the Church has not rid itself of this perversion in the clergy.

Let's not pretend he was a singular problem. Homosexuals are not physiologically fit to be Priests, as the Church teaches...

"In the light of such teaching, this Dicastery, in accord with the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, believes it necessary to state clearly that the Church, while profoundly respecting the persons in question[9], cannot admit to the seminary or to holy orders those who practise homosexuality, present deep-seated homosexual tendencies or support the so-called "gay culture"[10].

Such persons, in fact, find themselves in a situation that gravely hinders them from relating correctly to men and women. One must in no way overlook the negative consequences that can derive from the ordination of persons with deep-seated homosexual tendencies."

I would not be surprised if true. At. All.
    Amen.
I read some of the comments, too.
I think I told the forum that my family and I met Cdl McCarrick when he was the Archbishop newly assigned to our diocese. We all greeted him in the receiving line and found him warm and cheery.:eek::eek:
