According to Sr. Lucia the consecration performed by SPJPII was valid.

If he was in a "Joe Biden" situation in that he was just a stooge, then he'll have no bother in the afterlife and in meeting God.
But on the other hand, if he was aware of his actions then as the successor to Peter; he was a disaster. A heretic!
Pachamama. Bishop Strictland (which was a cowardly travesty inflicted on a holy man). Making Fernandez the prefect of the doctrine of the faith - a complete and unqualified disaster (and a position formerly held by Benedict the Great). The dirty deal with the Chinese government. His treatment of holy cardinals. He rarely spoke against abortion. Promoted climate BS. Blessings for gay "couples" and thus isolating poor priests.
I never spoke bad about him. But I hear so many people now saying he was a great pope and it irritates me.
If he was at himself, if he was of sound mind then he was an anti-pope. A scoundrel. I genuinely hope Jesus goes easy on him.
But worse, all this gets me thinking... these things are not unplanned and I hope he was not laying the groundwork for a further abomination to take the Seat of Peter.

My hope with regard to his soul is that he did or said everything that went wrong not out of malicious intent, but out of an unfortunately ‘confused’ and ‘muddled’ conviction. From my human point of view, that would be easier to forgive. And as has already been written, honouring Pius X. is a good sign. May Francis rest in peace through the mercy of the Lord. I am optimistic that he is not lost.

In addition, from an article which highlights the numerous points of criticism, but notes at the end:
It should also be remembered that Francis proclaimed 2021 a Year of Saint Joseph, consecrated Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on 25 March 2022 and dedicated his fourth encyclical Dilexit nos to the veneration of the Sacred Heart on 24 October 2024: all gestures that are in line with the traditional spirituality of the Church and clearly different from the pagan Pachamama cult, which the Pope also paid homage to in the Vatican. Contradictions thus characterise the Bergoglian era. Francis, for example, denied the Blessed Mother the title of Coredemptrix and called her a ‘mestizo’ of the mystery of the Incarnation, but wrote in his will that he had always entrusted his life and ministry ‘to the Mother of our Lord, the most holy Mary’. He therefore asked that his mortal remains ‘rest in the papal basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, awaiting the day of the resurrection’. ‘I wish that my last earthly journey may end in this very ancient Marian shrine, where I have gone to pray at the beginning and end of every apostolic journey, to entrust my intentions to the Immaculate Mother with confidence and to thank her for her kind and maternal care.’

I am not even interested in watching his funeral.

I could never and cannot connect with this Pope because he confused me so much. I cannot stand confusion and for me his greatest legacy is confusion.

Is all true. But it makes me proud to be Catholic watching a funeral like this. It reminds me that I am part of something bigger than myself. Anyway I am expecting to see spooky events which will expose all the lies, corruption, perversion, coverups and hypocrisy, which will be so interesting.

Transgender mourners to greet Pope’s coffin

Prisoners, prostitutes and the poor invited to take part in ceremony at Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica

Transgender women will greet the Pope’s coffin at the church where he will be buried.

In what will be a unique moment and an extraordinary gesture, 40 mourners chosen from the poorest communities, including trans women and migrants, will greet the pontiff’s coffin as it is carried up the steps of Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica.

Prisoners on day release, victims of human trafficking, prostitutes and the homeless are also included in the invitation.

They will each hold a white rose, greeting the coffin following its transportation from St Peter’s Basilica, where the funeral service will take place, to the site of his burial at Santa Maria Maggiore, two and a half miles away.

It emerged on Friday that the pontiff had said he was told by the Virgin Mary that he should be buried at the church in one of the less salubrious neighbourhoods of Rome rather than in the more grandiose surroundings of St Peter’s which is where popes in the modern era have been laid to rest.

Cardinal Rolandas Makrickas, who is the titular head of the Santa Maria Maggiore church, told reporters that Pope Francis had spoken to him in May 2022, pondering about where he would be buried. “He said he thinks popes have to be buried in the basilica [at St Peter’s] and he was thinking the same way. But after a week on May 20 he called me. It was 3pm… and he said Mary told me ‘Prepare your tomb’ [at Santa Maria Maggiore].”

The Cardinal then found a suitable spot inside the church where Pope Francis will be laid to rest on Saturday.

The request to invite the poor and dispossessed is understood to have come from Pope Francis himself. He left details for how his funeral should be conducted, including the burial at a church outside of the Vatican, in dying wishes contained in his last testament.

The Rome daily newspaper Il Messaggero, among other outlets, reported that trans women were being included in the group of disadvantaged people chosen to meet the coffin.

The Telegraph asked a Vatican spokesman, who would neither confirm nor deny the reports.

Joe Stanley, chairman of the LGBT+ Catholics group based in London, said: “This is wonderful. It really reinforces the Pope’s message that Christ loves everyone and that everybody as a human being has a right to be included in the Catholic Church.

“In some ways it is not surprising. We know the Pope had very good contacts with the trans community in Rome and Ostia. We know he certainly had lunch with them on several occasions. It is part of his general message that he kept trying to put across that you are included in the Church and that all of us are imperfect Catholics.”

Apparently, yes, if we consider the dissolution of the Soviet Empire on Christmas Day of 1991, seven years later, as the effect. But what I wanted to highlight is that Francis was the only one who fulfilled the important requirement of joining with the bishops from all over the world. Even though his pontificate has been disastrous in almost every sense, he simply went there and did it.

I just asked grok some questions about transgender in Italy. One study alleges that 1% of Italy identifies as transgender, but it is more likely 0.1-0.5%. That being said many might identify this way because transgenders are first class citizens today. Of that 0.1-0.5% far less actually do stuff like change their ID, start hormones and much much less go through surgery. Ultimately the estimate Grok gave me is that somewhere between 11-18k are actively transitioning. The population of Italy is 60 million.
So all of this publicity is going to 0.000138% to 0.0003% of the population and 41% of them will ultimately end their own lives, as this is the suicide rate for transgenders.

If the church authorities actually cared about these people they wouldn't be affirming them by allowing them to virtue signal at the funeral, and would be warning them severely against taking the road they are going down.

Concerning the consecration made by Pope St John Paul II on March 25th 1984... Pax Prima is correct, Sr Lucia said the consecration had been accepted by heaven. The Soviet Union fell in 1991.

However, on 13th May following the March consecration (anniversary of OL Fatima and the shooting of the Pope in 1981), a catastrophic explosion occurred in the closed town of Severomorsk, Russian, where weapons for the Northern Fleet of the Soviet navy were stored. The fire raged from 13th to 17th May. Mercifully, no nukes were involved.

From a CIA document: "At least 200 personnel were killed and a similar number wounded. For the Northern Fleet, the destruction represents the greatest disaster to occur in the Soviet Navy since the Second World War. It means that the fleet cannot rearm its 148 surface ships once all the onboard missiles in the magazines have been expended". The redacted text can be found online.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Severomorsk_Disaster

I believe the date of this event is significant - the explosion happened less than two months after the consecration and on the Feast day of Our Lady of Fatima - who had requested the consecration. The Russians would be forced to come to the negotiating table.

I remember pope benefits remains getting picked-up in a transit van.
I was aghast at the time....
I've tried to find vids of it recently, but they all seem to have vanished.
God forgive me, but I'm glad Francis' reign is over.

A nice establishment, middle of the road, don't rock the boat, commentary. Yes Papa Frankie did some bad things but we all do bad things sometimes. Give the guy a break. Nothing to see here. It reminds me of scripture.

    Matthew 5:37

All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ anything beyond this comes from the evil one.

    and

    Revelation 3:16

So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

If Jesus and the Apostles had been even a little bit more like Father Mark the powers that be would never have butchered them. They would have recognised they were dealing with a cardboard cut out and left them well alone. Father Mark has confused being Christian with being nice. Father Mark is just about the nicest guy you could ever meet. Listening to him is a bit like having ten spoonfuls of sugar in your coffee.

    To hell with being nice.

    Literally , to hell.

The big advantage of being like Father Mark is that you'll never make any waves and so never get in any kind of trouble. That's what not making any kind of waves gets you. He's like a walking, talking go back to sleep tablet.

I remember Cardinal Muller being criticised as a modernist by quite a few, when he was originally appointed as head of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith. Well, if he's a modernist, let's have more of that!

I hope this will quickly become a small, forgotten thread with cobwebs hanging off it.

If he wanted to renounce the modernist agenda, the obvious man to signify this would be St Pius X. He did attempt to build bridges to the SSPX people, also.

While he was alive, we were all reacting to various current scandals, reasoning that we needed to show witness to our opposition. Now, that he's no longer part of the Church Militant, it might be best to take the most benign plausible interpretations of the reasons for his papal words and deeds...with emphasis on the plausibility.
