I recently heard an International Catholic speaker say that when we face God at judgement we won't have the faculty of speech to defend ourselves.
We won't have words, we also will not feel the need to defend ourselves. Yet we will understand God's thoughts and He will hear ours. And as St Padre Pio said, we will have a few seconds in time to accept the Lord and beg for forgiveness. I've read many stories of NDA's and the one thing that sticks out is that God comforts us During that time ... that comforts me for my daughter's passing.
