Yes Bobby, this is what most interests me, personally. Not what is coming in the far future but actually the times we are going through at the minute and the things, if we live long enough we shall all see in our own life times. Not something far, far away in the future. I was just reading tonight , for instance that the recent catastrophe in Haiti may very well be the most serious in modern times, as with the Tsunami in South East Asia. The recent child abuse scandals in the USA and Ireland are probably the most serious crisis to rock these Churches since their very beginnings. The world as a whole faces a huge series of disasters and problems, economic, spiritual, natural, scientific, political,social..the list goes on and on that question the very future of our species itself. Our Lady herself has asked us to look to the Signs of the Times and I think as you say we are right into the Tribulation Period. SO its really this I am interested in ; this and these things I look to Prophesy to address. and to address not in symbols that are dark and confused but really quite directly and in a way a little child could understand, clear and certain. So in this I have to say I am more than a little disappointed in 'Duke' . But I would not condemn her for this. It would not be charitable and as Gamaliel said regarding the first Christians: "Then there stood up one in the council, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the Law, respected by all the people and ordered to put the apostles forward a bit; and said to them: you men of Israel, be careful about what you do to these men. Because a while ago Theudas appeared boasting that he was somebody important. He was joined by a group of men, about four hundred. He was slain and all that followed him were dispersed and came to nought. After this man, Judas of Galilee arose, in the days of the taxing, and attracted many people to him. He also perished. And all those who followed him were dispersed. And now I tell you, refrain from these men and leave them alone. For if this counsel or this activity is of men, it will COME TO NOUGHT! But if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it, lest as a result you are found to be fighting against God!" Acts 5:34-39.
Thanks for your replies Bobby and Padraig. What both of you are saying I can understand. After all Ive been immersed in it for the past year or so!! I can't put my finger on it but with "Duke" there is no clarity-at least not yet. I must get Yves Dupont's book. It sound's interesting. Siobhan
Duke in a recent update has stated the following: Below are the events which I believe will occur soon: [1] A Papal visit to Russia, political in nature, will mark the beginning of a communist revolution in Europe. [2] The Pope will be murdered during the revolution. Then when Europe will be almost totally ruled by socialists/communists, a “sort of” treaty between US and Russia will be agreed, after which, a total nuclear exchange between these two nations, together with their respective allies will occur. [3] The “Last Pope” will be elected during the course of World War III. [4] The “True Antichrist” will arrive, halfway, during the Pontificate of the “Last Pope”. He will arrive after the World War when peace has been reestablished between the nations. The “True Antichrist” will take the Papal Seat after the “Last Pope” is mortally wounded. [5] Europe will prosper during the reign of the “True Antichrist” [6] The “Last Pope” will successfully retake the Papal Seat a few years later. He will die immediately right after this struggle. [7] Unprecedented natural calamities will occur in the US until the Three Days of Darkness which is the effect of the celestial purging. [8] Our Lord will return sometime after these last events. [9] As for me, I will witness the chastisement (the revolution, the world war, etc..) until the glorious death of the “Last Pope”. However, I will not witness the celestial purging as it has been revealed to me that I will die before that time comes. I was made to understand that I will die a young age. I am in my late 30s now. Personally, I do not believe the Anti-Christ is in the World today as the Anti-Christ comes after the period of peace [predicted at Fatima]. Dupont, Connor, Sheen and other experts on prophecy are in agreement on this - there will be a period of peace and blessings before the advent of the Anti-Christ. And here is why I think Duke is wrong in the prophetic timeline above: Please do take note that the prophecies below are not solely mine. Rather, I have synthesized my own and other prophecies so I can provide you with a “readable” prophecy. My limitation is that the prophecies revealed to me where focused mostly on the “Last Pope vs. True Antichrist” struggle. These prophecies are a synthesis of other prophecies apart from the prophecy regardin the Anti-Christ.
I think maybe 'Duke' was reading posts on this site and tried to be more explicit in his/her prophecies.
I appreciate that the Duce reads this site. Its a good one to keep track of. I wish the Duke would be clear on what of this came from the Duke and how. I know that privacy is important but it would help us discern more. Anyway, to address the Duke directly: Thank you. I'm sorry you do not believe that you will live a long life, though, if one is prayerful, that knowlege may not be such a burden? Anyway, young is relative as are many of the timelines we are given. Some days I read these prophecies and feel I can't breath and other days, I know I've time to pray and watch my kids grow up. I'm going to keep the Russian people in my prayers as well as the pope. Last night the kids kept adding more and more people onto the prayer list, I gave up and just prayed for everyone in the world so the kids would get to bed on time. Keep praying! Kathleen
The Prophesy about Russia and the Holy Father is one I can believe as it seems to tie in so very closely into what Our Lady said at Fatima. I am not too sure how much we can say Russia has been 'converted' or not, anymore than we can say Ireland, the USA, Britain, France, Germany or anywhere else in the world has been 'converted'. Certainly in Ireland far from being converted the Irish appear to me to be heading away from God at warp speed and will be down a very black hole in next to no time. There are just so many forces arrayed against faith, most notably the media and popular culture which are overwhelmingly powerful forces in the hands of Satan, especially against the young. Maybe it is different in Russia, but you know I really wonder. There are Signs of a Second Spring, yes; but to speak of Russia being 'converted ', well I don't really think so. I notice Our Lady moving very powerfully for conversion in my own Parish recently with a new Parish Priest we have been given. He is a great devotee and Child of Our Blessed Lady and is very holy. He says the parish is in a a terrible state of spiritual crisis and he intends to promote devotion to Our Lady and prayer. I went up to mass yesterday with my father and long before mass he was walking about saying the Stations of the Cross. I think he may also be touched by mystical gifts and when he looked at me it was as though he was looking deep inside me. I suspect that anyone who prays and follows Mary at this time will be touched by mystical gifts, even if they are not aware of them. My old Parish Priest seemed such a human and compassionate, deeply caring man, much of the Parish loved him. But I had the deepest doubts over his stewardship. I mention this because I think it touches on Fatima, the anti Pope and the schism that is coming on the Church as well as the loss of faith in the young and in the whole world as well as our Parish. Anyhow here are some very strange things I noticed happening down the years in our Church, make of them what you will. I asked for a statue of Our Lady to be erected in our Church, preferably the old one, very beautiful from the old church. I was told it could not be erected because of 'Health and Safety issues' {it might fall over and kill someone} I asked for a picture of Our Lady to be erected , I was told it did 'not fit in with the Church decor' I asked the Parish Priest to preach on Hell and Gods Justice and the consequences of sin. The Parish Priest literally laughed at me. He told me I was out of step with the times and that folk would laugh at him. I was asked to become a member of the Parish Council but on my very first meeting I was overcome with a deep sense of unease. They talked about Social Justice, liturgy, Ecumenism, finances and so on but never on the Spiritual State of the Parish a call to prayer, penance, fasting ..it was as though I were attending a party Political Meeting or a Buisness Conference. I was very, very uneasy and left very early and very abruptly and never returned. When I talked to priests and nuns in the Parish especially the Parish Priest I had the curious sense of veiled hostility towards me..or else a feeling that they were switching of inside to myself and what I was saying, it was as though I was getting a vacant stare , or being unplugged. A new young priest started in the parish a year or two back. Almost at once I felt he was going into spiritual crisis and I tried to tlk to him in confession about this and prayed for him He left the priesthood. But...you know I think it was working in our parish that killed of his vocation. Anyway thats my feeling. Our new parish church is what I can only describe as an atrocity, I stay away from it as much as I can. I asked one of the modern nuns what the stained glass means, she said, 'It means what ever you want it to mean'. Well to me it means nothing at all. Also I have the peculiar nasty feeling the artist was not a believer and was playing a cruel joke on us for it seems to me some of the glass, well the weird shapes feel vaguely obscene, but perhaps this is my imagination, I cetrtainly hope so. The new Parish Priest hates the new Church as much as I do. It has a enclosed Piazza which encourages people to gather and gossip both before and after Church. It forces us to stare at each other during worship. Its art works are indecipherable, it reminds me of a bowling alley. It also ,I suspect, goes against Canon Law in the Construction of Churches. So in my own Church I have felt like an outsider and have avoided my parish as much as possible. Now with this new very holy parish priest I will try to get down there and help out. I left a copy of my little book, 'On meeting Mary and learning to pray' with him and will try to talk to him more. I am full of hope at last, a second Spring is on the way at last...well I hope. Anyhow what has happened in my parish it seems to me in minature what is happening to the Church right across the world, especially in the West and its why a Schism and an anti Pope is on the way; for if all these wonderful 'Modern' ways of doing things are so great how come our parish has fallen down such a deep spiritual hole?
Padraig, Wasn't it Paul VI who famously said that 'the smoke of Satan has entered the Church' and that was in the early 70s. The Church is like the boat in the storm on the Lake of Galillee when the disciples thought they were going to die and Jesus slept. Not until they called upon the name of the Lord were they saved. Likewise we need to call upon the name of the Lord and ask his direct intervention. A lot of my intercession recently has been exactly like that, pleading with Jesus to help the youth in particular, to save them from a perverse culture. But things have become so bad that we need de-contaminated [and that includes me] as we are all affected by secular values and unbelief as they are all around us, in our workplaces, families, church! The world needs an 'Illumination of Conscience' !
Padraig: I have seen such churches and am similarly horrified by the "modern" church- often just what we call a Morton Building (storage building) that lacks beauty and architecture, let alone the Spirit of God. A beautiful church brings such joy. I have to admit I've left the church and later been a "church hopper", due to uneasiness in my old church. The hypocracy got to be so bad, I left and attended my husband's Methodist church for 3 years before returning to the Catholic Church. I find myself in a much better church environment now, but I look back sadly upon those lead astray in my old church. I worry that if we do not start talking frankly about the demise of Church, the evil that has entered it, as well as the challenges we will be facing in the future, there will be many lost. But how do I speak up? I do not have the grace to bring this up without offending others. I find I am stuck, hiding away, emailing you all, hoping for answers and a way to bring these issues to the forefront. Maybe this is a time of preparation? I was taught as a child not to ever be critical of a priest and that it was a sin to do so. We will be faced with this issue more and more I am afraid. I am such a hypocrite to criticise anyone, but I know that we'll need to raise the alarm at some point and stand up for God. God give us the courage to stand up when we are called. Until then, give us guidance in preparation for that time. Kath
I am very luck to have a very holy parish Priest. We have adoration 2 days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fr Jim is always the 1st person in the church for adoration and the last to leave when adoration concludes. Our curate then is a different kettle of fish. I believe Fr Jim prays and fasts for him constantly. The curate has a good and generous heart and gives very good sermons but he has failings such as a love of the drink. It leads him to very dodgy situations but Thank God his vocation is still there. When I was in San Damiano shrine in Italy last year a lady on the pilgrimage had special gifts. We were all praying for the conversion of Ireland as the Lisbon Treaty was to be voted on again. This lady was shown a vision of Our Lady with the angels holding a white covering like a sheet over Ireland. I think when the attack on our Catholic faith comes somehow or other the faith will be preserved in Ireland. I think this will also be true of Poland and Portugal, Malta and I suppose Croatia. There are very many people in Ireland praying for the conversion of the world and for conversion of Ireland. It is true that our young people are swimming in a sea of filth but prayer can save many many of them. I get consolation from the good thief. At the very end he repented and because of his repentance and humility and open heart he went straight to heaven. The media has misled so many but time is running out for satan and his friends. Jesus has the victory so we must hang on the hope and keep praying for all that are on the wrong road. I have been reading Duke and I think the detail on the last Pope is referring to an anti pope. I read the prophesies of Our Lady of Good Success and Our Lady said that 'The church will suffer during a dark night lacking a father and prelate to guide it. many priests will lose their spirit placing their souls in great danger' God bless Mary
Mary, yesterday while driving back from the mountains I was thinking about Ireland and all the little Marian Shrines at the side of the roads and of course wishing that our country embraced her the same way. I know that the Shrines are symbols but I think the love of Our Lady runs so deep in the hearts of the Irish that the country will be spared. That's no accident that they are there, everywhere. And you are right, we must keep praying for people every where.
I see Duke has added some additional information the his/her site on Pope benedict 'Pope Benedict XVI will kneel before an image of the Blessed Mother which he will not see because his eyes will bleed from the wounds inflicted by the mob. Heaven will allow this because he saw the Third Secret but instead did the opposite of revealing it. He will be made to suffer for the consequence of the errors of his predecessors and that of his own. He will be stripped of all dignity and will be made to walk before an audience of atheists and satanists all yelling blasphemies against the Holy Church. His successor likewise, after the war, when peace shall have been granted, will experience a greater scandal that never before was thought to be possible. This is the same scandal alluded to by the ancient prophets.' This is pretty specific. We can see the storm building and rising against the Pope every day. I am thinking of Garabandal where Conchita said that there would be 3 more popes before the events predicted and also that we were coming to the end of an era. This era in the church is coming to an end and everything is about to change. When we now see the scandals all around us and the crumbling of church authority this prophesy from the Phillipines looks believeable. Mary
Its really interesting I think that we should be mentioning Ireland so much on the Forum at the minute because it seems so very suddenly to be thrust to the forefront of the world news concerning the Catholic Church. It is in fact at the very eye of the storm raging against the Church. For instance this is the very first time a Pope has written a Pastoral Letter to a particular country, in this case Ireland...and as Ireland is mentioned top of the list we see this crisis broadening to countries right across the whole world such as Germany, Brazil and Austria. Now Ireland is a very tiny country ,really smaller than most small cities in many other places. Why is this? Why is this huge storm, attacking raging around her? Why Ireland? It has me wondering. The devil isn't stupid, he has his reasons. It has me curious. But, no I don't think the faith will be lost in Ireland ,no matter how huge the storm, the bottom line is there are too many saints here. I know, I see them in Churches here every day. Ireland will be a very hard nut indeed for the devil to crack. But it leaves me wondering, why Ireland, what is it about this tiny, tiny Catholic island has him doing this? To be honest it makes me proud. For there must be something worthwhile here makes it worth the bother. But there's a great war going on in the heavens at the minute...and there's something about Ireland that I've missed...I wonder what it is....??...........why is the devil so interested?
I have always felt that the devil is motivated by revenge and hatred and as Ireland was once a land of saints and scholars and through missionary zeal re-Christianised Europe then the Irish were responsible for the salvation of many souls much to satan's annoyance. Also Ireland is one of the few places without permissive abortion legislation, which is greatly annoying for satanic abortionists. As you mentioned there are many saints in Ireland including some on this forum. I have several friends here in Ireland whom I consider to be holy saints. I will just give an example of three. One friend has a pro-life apostlate and lives completely on divine Providence even though he has a family of six - he is a mighty warrior in the Kingdom and a mighty thorn to the abortionists. I have offered to cover him in prayer of protection as he is right in the thick of the action and full-time ministry for the Lord. Another friend and his wife have been involved in renewal ministry and prayer groups for the past 25 years and are a most beautiful couple, childless because she is confined to a wheel chair due to crippling arthritis yet is always filled with the joy of the Lord. The third is a widow of 35 years an aunt by marriage to my wife. Her prayer life is extraordinary - I had the privelege of praying with her at my mother-in-laws wake last October and we prayed through the night. I quit at 6.00am and she was still going strong despite the fact she is in her 80s. Then she came the 2nd night and did the same thing - she just out-prayed me to the end & I quit on the stool in the 10th round! Oh boy, did I learn a thing or two, quite extraordinary. I could go on and on about others I know who are just awe inspiring and prayer warriors, incredibly devoted to our Lady and the Church. And the thought has just come to me that there are many Irish in heaven - they pray incessantly for the Emerald Isle before the throne of God and I just suspect that their prayers will be heard and Ireland may again be blessed by the Lord in some extraordinary way.
From the outside looking in. I agree with our lovely Garabandal. The devil is always jealous of what he can't have. Stay strong Ireland. We love you and cherish you as you are. Kath
I don't like that above seer because he falsely claims that the third secret was not fully revealed. It was, by JP2 in 2000 and Sr. Lucia herself confirmed it had been released in its entirety.
Here is a good example of the spiritual struggle that Padraig and Garabandal have described: http://www.irishcentral.com/news/Man-tries-to-attack-Irish-Bishop-in-Killarney-Catholic-cathedral-88784707.html It seems as if the divide between good and evil is already rising ever stronger, and I agree that there is indeed something about Ireland that the devil hates so much. I wonder what sort of threat the Islamic fundamentalists would pose if they invaded Europe as many prophecies by saints suggest.
I am in concurrance with Sean regarding what the Duke is saying. Jesus himself made the Holy Father infallible through the following words: Jesus, talking to Peter, said “What you bind on earth is bound in heaven, and what you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” I have a very difficult time with the idea that the Pope has done wrong. It feels very bad to me and since we all know that the Pope will likely suffer horrible, what better way for the Devil to put doubt in our hearts than to say he is at fault for his own pain? I could be completely wrong here but this sounds like a trap designed by the Devil so I'm fighting these thoughts off. I'm pretty ignorant so if you think I'm off base by saying he is infallible, please let me know. I'm here to learn. God Bless and prayers for Ireland, Kath
Kathleen, You are right. The Pope is infallible, but only under certain conditions: ...when as supreme pastor and teacher of all the faithful- who confirms his brethren in the faith- he proclaims by a definitive act a doctrine pertaining to faith or morals. (CCC891) I would have to say that for the last thirty years we have had two very wise Popes! Safe in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!
Shane, Nothing is more indicative of the times in Ireland than that nuns and priests are often afraid to wear clerical dress in the City of Dublin because of the threat of abuse and violence.
Funny thing I was thinking out loud in my kitchen why this storm was breaking in Ireland and my son said of course it will break here and the schism too as this little island has evangilised so much of the world. I too know many lving saints. The media here are completely hostile and really if one were to believe the papers there are very few practising catholics or good clergy in Ireland. We know this is simply not true. There was an excellent homily from St Patricks Cathedral Armagh on the radio Mass last Sunday. The church was equated to the woman caught in adultry. The Pharisees and Scribes are the media and the forces that are trying to destry the church just as the scribes used the sin of the woman to try and trap Jesus. But Jesus did not condemn He told her go and sin no more. The woman has to return to her husband. This equate to the church having the bear the brunt of the peoples dissapointment and regain trust. Not an easy task. Also the preacher made a very good point that we live in a society where everything is permitted and nothing is forgiven. Every day we read of sports stars such as Tiger Woods or Ashley Cole who are caught in the act of adultry but the media does not want them to be forgive they want them destroyed. This is a sure sign of Satans activity. Firstly he tempts then he accuses and destroys. Forgiveness and redemption are not an option. On the full facts of the 3rd secret. I am not sure. Just my opinion. Our Lady promised an era of peace if Russia were concretated ti her Immaculate Heart. Russia was not specifically consecrated and there have never been as many wars or so much threat. Also one could not say that Russia is converted. I think politics are always at play and the Vatican is no exception. I love the Pope and always pray for him and honour him as Vicar of Christ. If one examines the history of the Papacy. Popes have made many bad decisons and have made mistakes. They are infallible on teaching of matters of faith and morals under certain conditions. The Pope is also surrounded by many cardinals and bishops who wield great influence. In fact a Cardinal Bugini who was in charge of the Liturgicaal changes during Vatican 2 was found to be a member of a Freemason Lodge in Rome. Pope Paul iv had him reassigned as papal Nuncio to Iran a country with no Catholics. In Garabanda Our Lady said that many Cardinals, Bishops and Priests were on the road to perdition. I do think the consecration of the world by pope John Paul 2 was effective in preventing a major war with Russia but the full grace promised at Fatima has not been released. When Jesus appeared to St margaret Mary he requested the consecration of France to the Sacred Heart. by the King. This request was not complied with and one hundred years later the King of Fance was beheaded and the church in France was dessimated. Jesus appeard to Sr Lucy around 1930 and He repeated Our Ladys request that the world especially russia be consecrated to the Imacculate Heart and He said to Sr Lucy 'they will be like the King of France, they will leave it too late.' I thin this is prophetic as it was the Pope and the Bishops of the world were requested to carry out this consecration to the Imacculate heart. It was done but very late and we are not really confident that it is really as requested. I think Our Lord was saying that like the King of France was beheaded likewise some sort of disaster will befall the Papacy because they have left it too late and also its probably inadequate. mary
