Israel unilaterally withdrew from the Gaza Strip in 2005, but this was not enough to prevent the rise of Hamas's radical government in 2007. In fact, the biblical verse stating that "the meek shall inherit the earth" certainly does not apply to the Jewish people but rather to Christians, who, according to some Islamic fundamentalist groups, must be fought against alongside the Jews. The definition of "Great Satan" created by Islamic fundamentalists certainly leaves no room for them to ask us Christians what we think of U.S. foreign policy over the past 70 years.

By the way, not all Muslims hate Jews. The mystics of Sufism seem to have a good relationship with Jews and even with Orthodox Christians.

I can't judge whether Trump is deliberately acting in favour of the evil side. It's the deliberately part that I can't judge. Ethnic cleansing is certainly evil as is supplying weapons and money to a terrorist State. Scott Ritter and some others believe that Trump's announcement was about undermining Netanyahu. They could be right. I'm not a big fan of Ritter but he can be good on sussing out strategy.

Max Blumenthal seems to me to be the person with the best insight on Israel. I'm pretty sure that it was he (I'm not certain and it slipped my my mind until now) who said that the West Bank is Israel's real goal. I'm going to post a video of an interview with Scott ritter where he points out that nobody cares about what's happening in the West Bank because everybody's focus is on Trump's plan to turn Gaza into the Riviera of the Middle East. Ritter is thrilled at the notion of Trump humiliating Netanyahu.

I'm reminded of Netanyahu's closeness to the Kushners and the revelation that he always stayed with the Kushners when visiting the US. I'm also reminded that the goal of Widow Adelson's $100 million donation to Trump's campaign was for Trump to facilitate Israeli annexation of the West Bank. Wasn't US recognition of Israel's annexation of the Golan the condition for her late husband's donation to Trump's first presidential campaign? So, if Trump appears to come to some apparent short term compromise on Gaza and also appears to foil Netanyahu's wish for a US attack on Iran, while actually giving Widow Adelson her money's worth on the West Bank, does that make Trump a well intentioned but flawed character, or does it make him a deliberate Machiavellian servant of evil? What do you think? All I know (and I feel like a sanctimonious hypocrite saying this) is that Catholics are warned against doing evil that good might come of it and that we must do unto others as we would have them do unto us. What would you do if you were a Palestinian? And if you were a Palestinian in Gaza what would you want others to do unto you? In all honesty, I'm not certain that my faith would be strong enough to prevent me supporting the resistance but I am sure that I would want others to treat me as a human and not an animal to be moved along at the whim of my oppressors.

Here's the Ritter interview. It's a long video but the Gaza Riviera stuff is at the start for about 15 minutes. Then he goes on to talk about the US AID controversy but I haven't watched all of that so don't know whether or what other topics are covered.

As a Catholic Palestinian, I would pray for God's help.
If I had a family, I would also defend them physically. I can't hypothetically consider how far that would go, I don't know.

I have also read what Ritter says here elsewhere, I don't know whether the writer also relied on Ritter's statements.
Perhaps that makes my point of view easier to understand. There are various analyses, interpretations and theories. I, we, can only observe what is and will become reality.
Observe what Trump does and what the results are, not so much what he says.

    Edit:
What I read referred to Larry Johnson. Same interpretation as Ritter. Short article.
    https://sonar21.com/what-is-trump-really-thinking-about-gaza/
...maybe Trump is really trying to secure a deal that does not cater to the Zionist vision of occupying all territory from the river to the sea.
...while many interpreted his remarks as catering to the Zionists, the language he used was just the opposite. He did not say that Gaza was Israel’s. He said that the US should take control of Gaza and oversee the rebuilding.
...Scott Ritter reminded me during the roundtable with Danny Haiphong of Trump’s crazed, insulting remarks about Kim Jong-Un that preceded his face-to-face negotiations with Kim.

how is this to be interpreted:
Netanyahu gifted Trump a golden pager; US president: ‘That was a great operation’

The more I see of Trump, the more convinced I am that the so-called free world has the best leader Zionist money can buy. He's surely proving that the Adelsons were/are shrewd investors. Rubio is said to be an Adelson protege. Some pundits say that they plan to run Lara Trump for the seat in Florida vacated by Rubio. I think that Adelson made his money in Las Vegas so maybe his widow will also invest in Trump's Gaza casino. If Lara Trump really has political ambitions, her father will do nothing to cross potential investors in her campaign. It's all about the money. They may as well put a $ sign on the star spangled banner.

Max Blumenthal said something to the effect that its the Saudis who had plans for a Riviera of the East. That might explain Trump's comments about leaders in the region being all for it. The problem for MBS is that he's only a prince until his father dies so he's susceptible to a sibling led coup with popular support if he goes too far too fast. No doubt Mossad or the CIA would eliminate the obstacle for him should the need arise. They and MI6 have the reputation for being the best assassins - even better than the Russians. The Emeratis and Qataris may also be on board with the ethnic cleansing plan provided the Palestinians are pushed into Egypt or Jordan. The Israelis call the Palestinians sub-human, Americans talk and act like they're sub-human, but their Arab neighbours are their most cold hearted betrayers.

Anyway, all we can do is pray that God doesn't put us to the kind of test being endured by our Christian brothers and sisters in the holy land. Most of us are probably too weak to pass the teat.

If I understood what Trump said, the Gaza Strip is not fit for humans to live there. It’s obliterated. There is no food, no habitable housing. There are land mines and tunnels that have to be taken care of. Traps to dismantle. It’s destroyed by bombs. There is not an infrastructure. The Palestinians have no money to fix it. He did not say it was going to Israel. He said it needs to be autonomous from Muslim and Jew. He said it would employ thousands of people to fix it up. It would belong to the US as a territory. When it is habitable people could move back in. It is not a done deal it was a suggestion. Maybe it could be a Palestinian State like one of our states or a territory. It’s something to think about. One thing we know is that the earth is constantly changing, countries change, leaders change. I think Trump is trying to look past the problems to find a solution that eliminates death and destruction. I am only going on what he said, not conjecture.
On another note, with the audit of USAID I am shocked and embarrassed at how it was used throughout the world to manipulate and control societies. I had no idea. Thank God it is being exposed. We need repentance in this country.

Trump's style of getting what he wants is to light a fire under people, and he did just that when he suggested that the US will take over Gaza and rebuild. @Katfalls is correct, Trump did say that Gaza was uninhabitable and must be cleaned up. Perhaps he's using the US involvement as threat to open the door for negotiations with Egypt or Saudi Arabia to rebuild.

Gaza was destroyed by American weapons. Now I ask you, what does America and any American citizen have to do with Gaza and politics in the Middle East?? Is this the will of the American voters?

Literally none, the first thing that Trump did on the international level was to allow Israel massive 2000 pound bombs (907 kg).

He sent a diplomat to Lebanon who is currently negotiating with the new leadership of Lebanon so that Hezbollah will not be in any government and to declare them terrorists, and this diplomat wears a "star of David" as a ring and is of course Jewish...

In these moments, the new Syrian government, which are branches of ISIL and Al Qaeda and sponsored by Israel and the USA, attacked Lebanon, i.e. Hezbollah. So Israel continues the war through proxy players, there is never peace with them and there is always revenge and hatred. They will not stop until they achieve what they set out to do, be sure of that.

There is currently a bloody war in Europe, the biggest since WW2, where the US is the biggest arms donor, and which Trump has said he will end when he comes to power.

    His first international moves were...

    1) Giving Israel 2000 pound bombs

    2) Calling the President of Israel

    3) Statement on the takeover of Gaza and the displacement of Palestinians

    4) Sending a Jewish diplomat to Lebanon to suppress Hezbollah and resistance to Israel.

...'and the USA is responsible to the extent that it has not prevented Israel from doing so and could have done so.'

Forgive me the USA (under Joe Biden) was not an innocent or not so innocent silent spectator of the Israeli Genocide in Gaza.
    How?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_support_for_Israel_in_the_Gaza_war

'In total, the United States spent $17.9 billion on military aid to Israel from October 2023 to October 2024, a record for a single year, as estimated by the Costs of War Project at Brown University.'

After an initial period of Western support for the offensive, Israel and the United States became increasingly isolated amid growing worldwide calls for a ceasefire,[2][3][4] with the US vetoing three United Nations Security Council resolutions calling for a humanitarian ceasefire.[5] International rights groups have condemned the U.S. for providing military and diplomatic support to Israel that they say risks complicity in Israeli war crimes.[6][7][8][9] By March 7, 2024, the US had sent Israel over 100 weapons shipments since the war began.[10][11]

Imagine after the burning down of The Jewish Warsaw ghetto by the Nazis that an American President were to suggest that the Jews in Warsaw should be removed elsewhere because Warsaw was no longer habitable and that the ghetto in the meantime be taken over by the USA so it could be turned into some kind of resort? How would that make Jews feel?

I don't really mind so much that the Jews (with the support of the USA) are committing mass murder on an incredible scale on the poor Palestinians.

Many ,many, many races have committed mass murder on other peoples. The British have committed mass murder on the Irish so regularly it has almost been an historical hobby for them.

What I particularly mind about this present mass murder by the Jews is that during this genocide when they are wiping out an entire people that are claiming that they themselves are the victims. Even the English in their periodic genocides of the Irish never had the brass neck to do this.

The English never claimed when they were wiping out the Irish that they were being wiped out themselves.

The Jews however in mass murdering the Palestinians claim they are being hard done by themselves.

In all of human history this has never happened before. That that the mass murderers claim they are being mass murdered.
    A first.

    Another first.

Two successive USA White Houses support ongoing mass murder by Israel in the cause of, 'Democracy'.

Trump wants to build a pleasure resort on what is a cemetery of extermination.

Not even Hitler thought of that one.

It's like Heinrich Himmler wanted to build a Gambling Casino at Aushwich.

I hear by the way that International Jewry is taking action to revenge themselves on Ireland for its support against the genocide in Gaza. I hope that the Irish Americans will support poor little Ireland as much as the Jews in the USA are supporting the mass murderers in Israel.

Are you serious? What part of "Gaza is Palestinian territory" do you not understand. What part of "the US is guilty of genocide" escapes you to the extent that you believe the Palestinians should trust any suggestion coming from the country that committed mass murder against them. Your taxes paid for the bombs that murdered them in their tens of thousand. The only say that you, Trump or any American should have in this is "I am heartily sorry"; "please, Palestinians, forgive us and don't apply collective punishment to us"; and "tell us how much money and equipment you need". Then tell your proxy, Israel, to get back inside its legal boundaries and leave those Palestinians in peace. Believe it or not, Palestinians, including Palestinian Muslims, are fully human, created in the image and likeness of God. They are more than capable of deciding what's best for their own land and shouldn't be treated like cattle to be shifted out of the way or to the slaughter house as the farmer wills. Time for the US/Israeli alliance to discard the mower.

The sheer ignorance and callousness and, yes, hubris of so many American supposed Christians is simply mind boggling.

There is a reason why they have been expelled from over 100 countries throughout history and a Polish saying goes: The Jews cries out in pain as he strikes you".
Distortion of the truth, lies, manipulation...that's their territory.
Personally, I believe they have nothing to do with the ancient Jews and that the theory that they are a Turko-Mongol tribe that practiced magic in Eastern Europe in the 9th century and came into contact with Judaism and picked up its characteristics is still true. The Khazaria was called a kingdom and was destroyed by the then Russian ruler. Later they were scattered throughout Europe...
As for Ireland, who do you think financed Norman Invasion?
In 1169 AD, the Jews of Glouster financed the Norman Invasion of Ireland using a Norman knight called Strongbow. The following year in 1170, the Jews financed an invasion of Ireland by Henry II.
By 1170, Strongbow appears to have been funded financially for his invasion by a Jewish merchant by the name of Josce of Gloucester: "Josce, Jew of Gloucester, owes 100 shillings for an amerciament for the moneys which he lent to those who against the king's prohibition went over to Ireland."

The rest of Ireland is history, and do you know the reason they financed the Norman invasion of Ireland? The reason was because the children started to disappear and served as human sacrifice in their rituals. After that, the Irish expelled them from nearby places, but a few years later they financed the conquest of Ireland... That is, they helped in the same out of revenge.

Well I would not go down that road. Anti Semiticism and hatred for Jews for their religion is not the answer.

As Pope Pius xii said we must love the Jewish people who are our own spiritual grandparents. Jesus. Mary and Joseph, the twelve Apostles were all Jews.

Should we hate our own spiritual grandparents?

But I do hate Zionism. As I do Communism.

Ok Whatever. Fair comments. My understanding is that the Gaza Strip was controlled by England for many years. When Israel became a Jewish nation in 1948 they had control of the Gaza Strip. In the 1990’s they withdrew many Israeli’s and let the PLO govern the Palestinians. What I remember in my formative years are constant bombings of Israeli’s in their country at Malls or gatherings of people by suicidal bombers, many of them children. I remember the Palestinians attacking Israeli’s during the Olympics in the 1970’s. I know that strip of land is not an autonomous country.
Then the massacre happened when a desert concert was raided by Palestinians. They were brutal and vile killing babies in front of parents, parents in front of children. Taking hostages etc.
    That’s what I know.
