Don't be ridiculous! Someone can be an orthodox faithful Catholic without being a rad trad schismatic. I find it to be rather poor form to try to imply that someone is a schismatic who rejects VII and the CCC simply because they do not interpret current events as yourself.

As I said earlier, this is a foretaste of how faithful Catholics will be treated when they refuse to accept the new concessions after the Synod this fall.

April 12, 1820: "I had another vision of the great tribulation. It seems to me that a concession was demanded from the clergy which could not be granted. I saw many older priests, especially one, who wept bitterly. A few younger ones were also weeping. But others, and the lukewarm among them, readily did what was demanded. It was as if people were splitting into two camps."

    this is the same document I cited from...section 30.. # 1 and #4 POST #876

    1. A candidate who shows himself certainly unable to observe religious and priestly chastity, either because of frequent sins against chastity or because of a sexual bent of mind or excessive weakness of will, is not to be admitted to the minor seminary and, much less, to the novitiate or to profession. If he has already been accepted but is not yet perpetually professed, then he should be sent away immediately or advised to withdraw, according to individual cases, no matter what point in his formation he has already reached.

    4. If a student in a minor seminary has sinned gravely against the sixth commandment with a person of the same or the other sex, or has been the occasion of grave scandal in the matter of chastity, he is to be dismissed immediately as stipulated in canon 1371, except if prudent consideration of the act and of the situation of the student by the superiors or confessors should counsel a different policy in an individual case, sc., in the case of a boy who has been seduced and who is gifted with excellent qualities and is truly penitent, or when the sin was an objectively imperfect act
THIS DOES NOT DISQUALIFY Inclination only practicing homosexuality....Again how has Francis violated this document???

well you cite the old canon law under Pope Saint PiusX and not the new cannon, so it made me wonder why,
so you don't ... so these arguments are basically useless than .
So you will follow an apparition over Christs words that the gates of hell would not prevail against His Church....That's risky Brian

We've had good popes, bad popes and anti popes in the past. The gates of hell did not prevail then. Why would they now?

If you believe that then why the rejection of VAT2 , CCC and new canon law?

You are deliberately misrepresenting again. That's dishonest at best, and very unbecoming of a faithful Catholic. I have not seen anyone anywhere on this forum reject VII, the CCC or the new code. I hope you do not either as neither do I, though you seem to have no scruples about deliberately misrepresenting a fellow Catholic's point of view.

    Sorry I misunderstood
...based on your statement I took this to mean you didn't except them.
I didn't imply you were schismatic, I asked if you accepted them VII...etc had to know where your coming from.

    Good nite Brian....Peace Brother : )

When one goes from trying to understand truth to trying to be right...you know the conversation is over or should be postponed until things cool down a bit and the Holy Spirit has time to work. If you think the pope is in error, the first one you should bring it up with is God. God has let us know how He feels when people criticize His priests. Remember the Devil is the sower of confusion.

I believe it was pope Leo XIII who said the smoke of Satan has entered the church. There is much confusion in the church these days. I hate to see God's children getting caught up in that trap. The Devil tries to divide and conquer. Rise above it. God speed.

I feel sad that I reading clashing opinions here with some people thinking to be more intelligent in their discernment... :( thinking that they are the only few chosen remnants... Is this what our Father in heaven wants? Is the Mother of God not pierced enough by all these clouding judgment?

Please, if you want to question my credibility, anyone? All I can say is I a great sinner however; JESUS CHRIST is my Shepherd. I came back to the Sacrament of Reconciliation because I got inspired. I believe that I got a greater privelege to God's Love & Mercy because of my sins.

Our God is an amazing God who works wonders in a mysterious way!!!

Discerning whether a person's words or actions are good or evil is not "Pope Francis bashing."

We will all know after the Synod whether the discussion here was simply Defending the Faith or something else. We will not know in this life how much a role Defending the Faith now played in assuring that what comes out of the Synod in October is orthodox, if in fact that is the outcome.

Jesus ways has been questionable even to the high priest yet His invitation for everyone is just unfathomable, beyond reasons.

Here's a picture inside Parish Hall where I went for my second Sacrament of Reconciliation after the first come back one. The Church we went to was under construction at that time so the confession was held at the parish hall however; what brought me to tears was a dream from a nap...I saw Jesus in this similar scenario waving at me to come. It was the first time I heard about "Jacob's Well" story.

Why do you think the story is in the Holy Scriptures? I don't know, all I know is Jesus searches for His lost sheep. Praise be to God forever and ever.

Shouldn't we all be sharing this message of love and mercy to everyone?

Do you agree that we should discern whether a person's words or actions are good or evil?

I always wonder where the line is in a discernment process. It seems to me to be skating dangerously close to the line of where the thin ice begins to crossing from discernment to passing judgment. Passing judgement on one as we know is extremely dangerous and in this case, even more dangerous when we are talking about the Vicar of Christ. I truly understand the frustrations here about defending the faith that we love, but I don't see much difference in this current discussion from the same attacks that come from the sedavacantist, or the protestants who call the Pope the beast of revelation, or MDM, etc. So again, ask yourselves, where the line is. What does this line of thinking and debate do for your own soul, your own life of prayer, your own goal of walking with the Lord and living in His Divine Will. Do you feel that the constant discussion, analysis, in depth reading and research and looking into every thing the Pope said or didn't say is bringing you closer to the Sacred Heart of the Lord. Does this bring you peace and love or anger? If it is bringing you stress, discomfort, doubt, confusion, anger etc....then where do you think those emotions are coming from? Surely not from heaven. Maybe your answer is yes for peace and love, but for me, when I think on this, I just don't see how it could be bringing me closer to the Lord with the potential storm upon us.

I have thought a lot about the words of Jesus when he warned us this:

Mathew 7: [13] Enter ye in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there are who go in thereat. [14] How narrow is the gate, and strait is the way that leadeth to life: and few there are that find it! [15] Beware of false prophets, who come to you in the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
[16] By their fruits you shall know them. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? [17] Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, and the evil tree bringeth forth evil fruit. [18] A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can an evil tree bring forth good fruit. [19] Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit, shall be cut down, and shall be cast into the fire. [20] Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them.

    and

Mathew 24: [3] And when he was sitting on mount Olivet, the disciples came to him privately, saying: Tell us when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the consummation of the world? [4] And Jesus answering, said to them: Take heed that no man seduce you: [5] For many will come in my name saying, I am Christ: and they will seduce many.

In my thinking on this of how not to be fooled, I always felt the answer to this question was easy. The more time we spend in prayer with the Lord (especially in adoration or before the tabernacle) and with the sacraments of confession and through the Eurcharist, and the less time we spend in the world, television, news, music, internet time, etc, then I feel it would be impossible to be fooled because through these actions, we would have learned to hear the Lord always. Having a close relationship with Him, it would be impossible to be fooled or to stray. This idea is so hard for me personally, because I love to research our faith and I have to stay up with the news for my job, and I love reading from past mystics and the potential current ones, but all of these activities at the end of the day are enjoyable to me but they don't necessarily bring me closer to Jesus. If I spend all my time reading, and then debating, then that is less time the I am spending loving the Lord and my neighbor. Search your own soul on this. Pray a lot about it. Ask yourself if this is bringing you true peace and joy. I don't want to pass judgement myself, but from what I gather through reading, I don't feel a lot of peace in hearts in these words.

Most on here feel the storm is quickly approaching us all and this is the time to prepare for this storm. The only way we can be prepared is to be coming closer and closer and closer to Our Lord and truly striving to get to a point where we fully live in His Will and have full Trust in Him. We can't do this on our own. We can only do this with the Lord. It can never be an "I" it must be a "we" or we will fail.
