Willful ignorance of the truth affects the mind. I believe those who champion abortion have made "Choice" a false idol. We must pray for them intensely.

The wrath of God is indeed being revealed from heaven against every impiety and wickedness of those who suppress the truth by their wickedness. For what can be known about God is evident to them, because God made it evident to them. Ever since the creation of the world, his invisible attributes of eternal power and divinity have been able to be understood and perceived in what he has made. As a result, they have no excuse; for although they knew God they did not accord him glory as God or give him thanks. Instead, they became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless minds were darkened.While claiming to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for the likeness of an image of mortal man or of birds or of four-legged animals or of snakes.

This is what diabolical disorientation does. It blinds one from truth. Nancy is a puppet of the Evil One at this time and she is of the worst kind. Once a person advoctes for aborotion, as she does, darkness envelopes the mind and you cannot recognize truth. While I pray for our political leaders every night, it will take a miracle for them to repent.

 

I found it interesting that today I received an email from my bank updating my terms of use at the bank. Below is a part of the agreement for bank usage. I really found sections (b) through (d) interesting. With the direction that the country/world is going I am wondering if I or any Catholic Christian will be able to bank in the future because of "hate" speech in our churches......Just saying.

I read this beautiful quote from Marco Rubio about his return to the Faith and his desire to receive the holy Eucharist.

Then, I see this video question. Disappointing, Rubio is wrong, you cannot attend a second marriage wedding from divorce or attend a gay wedding. You give your approval attending either and you shouldn't send a gift. Bad or no catechesis.

 

Jackie, I talked to our Bishop about this and he said that he would often go to the reception of someone whom he was invited to go to a wedding to show friendship when he felt he could not go to the wedding. It seems it is not as black and white today as one might think.

 

Are we talking a civil service here or religious one? That is a big difference because a civil service has nothing to do with bringing God into it.

 

When I read stories like this, I must confess my sense of hope fir thus country just about disappears. How utterly evil.

For all the evil in the US there are people like you and many others who balance it out. We can't be disheartened by the evil or it wins. If there is one pure and holy person in the US, then it is all good because that one with great faith will benefit all with and by the Lord.

 

I have mentioned this before, as the world gets darker (evil)...God will intercede with Holy people. We have seen it through-out the ages. It might be a scholar, mystic, preacher, evangelizer, martyr or all of the above. The church might be headed in the wrong direction and/or a heresy is devouring the world...a saint or saints will straighten the sail. I truely believe God is calling His army and our little forum is part of the big picture.

We see Gods intervention everyday with the martyrs of the middle east. What brave men and women accepting death over denying God. Even Saint Peter denied Jesus three times.

There is also lots of us waking up at early hours (warriors of the watch) praying behind closed doors. We might not know each other...because God said some things are to be kept in secret.

"But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

But i am beginning to see saints pop up everywhere. I wish more people would understand we are ALL saints.

There is so much evil. The world has lost its bearings and no longer believes in the 10 commandments so no wonder that evil is getting out of control. The warning is the ultimate act of mercy for a diabolically disorientated world.

 

I agree, all the good deeds and there are many don't get much air time by media, but we are bombarded by the evil deeds. As was pointed out not long ago here on MOG only 1/3 of the stars fell so 2/3 of angels which is the vast majority are on our side, the winning side.

 

Thanks Indy and Andy for being a great antidote to my pessimism . You are right. God is great. We KNOW who wins in the end.

You are my friend. And you took the time, kind of you to inquire on this.

I disagree with your Bishop. He goes to the reception, people see him and think ah, the Bishop is here, fine to sin, to go against the Faith. Maybe, he gets up and explains at the reception why you cannot enter into such a marriage (reason he wasn't at the wedding). If not, this is why...

He should not attend the wedding or reception. Christ's teachings on divorce and sodomy are black and white. A similar accepting of sin, to attend a wedding of Protestant and Catholic who do not have Church approval. This has happened numerous times in my family and with my in-laws.

I always thought like you did, I am still torn. I am 56 years old, separated after 28 years of marriage (not my choice), have 6 kids and am heartbroken. Ten years ago my wife sat me down and had a "coming out" about an "incident." We were homeschooling, MMP, rosary, the whole bit. I hung on for ten years, she wouldn't kiss me for 8-9 years. We sold our house and she finally got what she wanted, gone with the three youngest. Now get this, she is an "excellent" catholic woman. Believe me when I say, I prayed every prayer known to catholics, but I got nothing. NOTHING! So I guess my next "punishment" is to live alone the rest of my life. No answer to any of my prayers, heartbroken, broke, living at home at 56. I am having my doubts about this teaching.
