Yes, we are plunging deeper and deeper into the abyss - so many taste of the fruit of evil and enjoy evil more than goodness. It is going to get so much worse and more quickly than we can ever imagine. When the Illumination comes the world will be a very dark place indeed with only a remnant in the state of grace.

But the Light will overcome the darkness and justice overtake mercy all in God's time. He is indeed a patient father. He must look upon the world as his prodigal creation for so few pay attention to Him.

Come, Holy Spirit, Come through the powerful intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

I think the USA will cause the global economic collapse with their budget non-negotiation crisis. It is clear that Obama desires a default of its creditors so he can get what he ultimately desires, i.e.., usurping the power of the federal government and a total collapse of the US constitution, which he detests so much. He will take the power away from the Congress to unilaterally pay the US debt holders, because he will not negotiate with them. It will cause a huge "civil political war" and will spin the whole government upon its head and ultimately lead to a world crisis. Wait-watch- and see.

And now the US Congress gives a standing ovation to the Washington DC police who shot and killed (executed) an unarmed mother who was driving erratically near the US Capitol yesterday (with her 1 year old child in the car).

Well, I have to say that about sums it up, doesn't it? Lenin's orders are being carried out today by his followers and minions everywhere, including the highest levels of the USA government.

I believe this is part of the punishment the USA has to undergo as payment for our grievous sins. Our best weapon at this point is prayer and eschewing the attractions of the physical world -- just as pope Francis is calling us to do. By living the faith we are witnesses to the Truth!

    Thanks for posting this SteveD!

You may be correct, but I think we are already in the "civil political war" that you mention. The rhetoric, especially by the democrat party, is caustic, combative, insulting and aggressive. The republicans are no angels either, but their rhetoric has not gotten so caustic. No argument from me about Obama's hatred of the US constitution, but I think he is already getting what he wants by continuing to chip away at it by incrementally usurping the powers of the legislative branch (congress) and bullying the supreme court (i.e. John Roberts siding with liberals on the court about the constitutionality of Obamacare). Just look at how his Justice department arbitrarily decides to enforce some laws but (openly) not others. Why resort to open hostility when you can achieve the same by continuing to undermine?

Regarding the debt, did you know that 2/3 or the US national debt is held by Americans in pensions, 401Ks, IRAs, corporations, etc? Only between 7 to 10% is held by the Chinese, for example. The 17 trillion now owed by the USA is bad enough, but the real monster is the estimated 90 trillion in unfunded liabilities.

I think the next step most people like us are waiting for is the civil disobedience piece. When do groups begin to say "no more?" In my opinion, we may see a fracture between the states and the federal government. Most likely this begins over fiscal issues. Already there is some talk by democrats to "bail out" Detroit which is by now a failed city and collapsing under the weight of its own financial obligations. Will conservatives balk and rebel over this idea? Will people bother to rebel? Or, has the marxist ideology penetrated our culture so deeply that we are essentially unwilling to do anything as long as we continue to get our cable tv, watch our sporting events, etc.?

And these are the people who want to take the guns away so they can make better use of them? This had nothing to do with self defense. A one year old child in the car??? :(

We have that issue in Ireland. Since the 'Celtic Tiger' financial bubble burst in 2007, there has been mumbling about the direction the government has taken. Rather than protect the national sovereign interest, they have brought in measures to undermine the ability of the ordinary citizen to live a normal life as possible. Deciding to tax everybody to the hilt to pay off European banks etc
There has been a few protest marches led predominately by right wing activists and political parties with dubious mantra's.
But on the whole, the citizenry has remained quiet and docile. I get frustrated at my pals on Facebook who post trivial things about the latest episode of the X-Factor, their fav soaps and who their football team just signed etc etc etc
I firmly believe this type of distraction is part of an agenda to keep people dumb and to prevent people from realising the NWO encroachment into our lives.

Not a bad synopsis of the financial situation, but I disagree with the author's assertions about Israel. God is behind Israel.

In a stunning development, some military priests are facing arrest if they celebrate mass or practice their faith on military bases during the federal government shutdown.
“With the government shutdown, many [government service] and contract priests who minister to Catholics on military bases worldwide are not permitted to work – not even to volunteer,” wrote John Schlageter, the general counsel for the Archdiocese for the Military Services USA, in an op-ed this week. “During the shutdown, it is illegal for them to minister on base and they risk being arrested if they attempt to do so.”
According to its website, the Archdiocese for the Military Services “provides the Catholic Church’s full range of pastoral ministries and spiritual services to those in the United States Armed Forces.”
In his piece, Schlageter worries about this restriction as Sunday nears. “If the government shutdown continues through the weekend, there will be no Catholic priest to celebrate Mass this Sunday in the chapels at some U.S. military installations where non-active-duty priests serve as government contractors,” he wrote.
Because of the lack of active-duty Catholic chaplains, the military relies on hiring civilian priests to serve as government service and contract ministers. Those civilian priests are not allowed on the bases during a shutdown, Schlageter wrote.
One Republican lawmaker on the House Intelligence Committee told The Daily Caller on Friday that this “crosses a constitutional line.”
“The constitutional rights of those who put their lives on the line for this nation do not end with a government slowdown,” Kansas Rep. Mike Pompeo, a graduate of West Point and an Army veteran, said in a Friday statement. ”It is completely irresponsible for the president to turn his back on every American’s First Amendment rights by furloughing military contract clergy.”
Added Pompeo: “The President’s strategy during the slowdown, just as during the sequestration, is to create as much pain as possible. However, this action crosses a constitutional line of obstructing every U.S. service member’s ability to practice his or her religion.”

My guess is that it would be okay if a Muslim cleric was ministering though.
