The transformation in him was so extreme and so shockingly sudden that one would have to wonder alright. I remember feeling sick to the bone looking at his new website and his new image... it was just so awful and... yes, there was a touch of the demonic to it. Hard to imagine him turning back from that and going back to being a humble priest again, but nothing is impossible with God. I just think if he was out in the world now, living a public life, someone would have picked up on it, what with the all-pervasive social media, etc; that's what gives me hope that he has indeed gone back into seclusion within his order.

Glad to hear FR Corapi has gone back to his order.Iremember him talking about him having a fancy top of the range car way back when he was young.Last saturday Our Holy Father said priests and nuns should only drive humble cars.Over here in Ireland some of our clergy drive top of the range big cars is it the same over in the USA?

I hear the word "humble" in several posts. I had taken my family to see Father Corapi on a few occasions. I must say, we all loved him and admired his toughness against heresy. However, the one virtue he did not display, in my opinion, was humility. Let us not forget that this loss of virtue is what cost Satan eternal life.

You know I never thought of that.

But its true the higher you go the higher you fall and Fr Cropi flew very high indeed.

Returning to the topic of the future of the USA, please watch this video. Soviet defector Yuri Bezmenov explains how the Soviets figured out how to undermine the USA via propaganda and infiltration. The logic and brilliance is nothing short of demonic. This video is a portion of a longer interview that was done in 1984. Listen to what he says of the situation back then and reflect on the situation of the USA now, with Obama in office. The only answer is prayer. Please pray for my country.

    Wow!!!

I'd never heard of Mr. Bezmenov before, but evidently he had quite a following in the 80's and published several books. Pretty chilling, isn't it?

Hi Kathy, Yes, it is very chilling! In the next two videos, he explains HOW it was done. Now, please take the time to watch these, you will be astounded as to how his predictions are coming true today ... the Gay lobby, the undermining of the family via abortion and the use of the rubric of "equality." Even more amazing is his remedy for all of it, how to stop it! I was shocked -- but also encouraged.

    I watched them. You're right.

Now, on a lighter note: evidence of how easily the U.S. media can be tricked:

Oh, brother! It really is amazing how dumb the American media is! No wonder we are sliding down the slope we are.

I think that our times are very difficult, having gone through a difficult time recently I can understand a little how easy it is to become deceived and fall very far. I remember saying the the Lord how good it was that Tiger Wood was such a good sportsman and that there was no scandal and then vaguely hearing ' how do you know that' and within the week all was revealed. The same with Fr Caropi...it seems the double life was going on for a long time in secret but some things started to become obvious...the personal trainer, making money from Religious items, his own webpage etc, aren't these things a danger for Priests? How do we keep safe in these times. I was praying, going to Mass, confession etc and still led astray...Stan is very very smart and people are very weak.

I love your avatar, Julie:) I notice one of the waves seems to resemble the head of an eagle, I wonder of that is an accident.
I wonder if the revealing of dark secrets might not be a Sign of the Times? A piece of Scripture might give light on this:

    Luke 8:17
For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.

I think here of the sexual abuse in the Church which seems like a great fall, but is actually a great blessing, for if they had not been revealed would have done far more damage than they did....

I receive so many blessings coming to this forum and reading all of your beautiful and spiritual words - thank you all. While I have not had a specific place put into my mind, I have had a strong interior message of "downsize" - get rid of not just the clutter of things, but the things that clutter us spiritually. We have this sense that while we should continue to pray for all people in our lives, there is also a sense that we are being told to separate from those who want to stay within this materialistic world. It almost a sense that its a battle against evil and that those who have been overcome by evil could pull us in that direction. It's a strange feeling, but we just feel this call of more spiritual preparation and a focus on pulling those near us away from the pull of the world.

I notice other people on the forum having the same feeling as yourself. They have a saying in Ireland , 'We are only passing through'. How true this is, especially in these tumultuous times.

When St John 23rd was asked how he was doing after he had gotten the diagnosis that he had terminal stomache cancer he replied at once,

    'My bags are packed '
In fact his bags had been packed more years than I can count for he was jsut so embarrasingly good. He makes me feel like a clown. We are travllers o nan eternal jurney and this is just a resting place.

I always love the words of the Psalmist

'Like the deer that yearns for running streams,
So my soul is yearning for you my God'.

I feel this so much during the mass, especially at the reception of the Eucahrist this longing for home of which the Eucharist is the doorway. But to stand at the dorway and not to enter in!!

But like St APul we can say, 'To live is Christ and to die is gain'.

    Homewards.

    Homewards.

Ever, ever, homewards where the table is set for the feast and smiling friends wait eagerly.

This is where being single has its advantages. When you have a family, much of your time is devoted to seeing not only ones own salvation, but that our your family. I sometimes envy people who can give 100% of their time and thought to God alone. Not that they don't have other cares, but the cares of the family, especially a large one, is non stop. Your thoughts are consumed constantly for he physical and spiritual needs of the family. I wish my "bags were packed", but I have so much more to do to help my family pack its bags. :)

I think its a little like the birds and the animals Fatima each one has its role and part to play. An Eagle is beautiful but its the chicken that gives the eggs.

I suspect none of us fall into whatever role we have in life by accident. None of us has a better or lesser chance of being a saint. Married, single, whatever. Certainly , being single I can say devote more time to prayer but for the married person ,well their children are their prayer and I am sure it keeps them praying all the time. :)

Of course Mary was herself a wife and mother and she is Queen of the Angles and saints. St Joseph was husband and father and is ,surely the greatest of all the saints. ..and of course they had their troubles and preoccupations too.

But one thing comes across about these two is that they were souls of the very, very deepest prayer. So of course as married people they show what is possible...

I don't know fatima...facing what is ahead as a single person can be very intimidating. At least you can look at your wife, grab her hand and say we are in this together...I've got your back and you've got mine and we'll get the kids through this together, as a team. I don't have anyone's hand to hold...I guess I can team up with my cats :D As Padraig said, Mary was wife and mother, so she understands. When Jesus was gone and Mary had no one...she had John to look after her. Where's my John?

Believe it or not, being single and the only religious one in my family makes me feel very responsible for them waking up. For I feel like no one else is praying for them except me, and that's a lot of pressure and I worry constantly about my family's salvation. So, it is still extremely difficult facing this as a single person (although I know you weren't saying it would be easy). But I think the answer for both of us is the same: make sure our individual bag is packed and packed really well. If we do this, then our loved ones around us will be dragged in our direction. But if my bag or your bag is only half-packed, everyone around and we ourselves are in danger.

That can go both ways PotaoSack,..what if the Catholic spouse you are married to attacks the Catholic Church every step of the way...
I think we are being purified in many ways right now. I think the most important thing is to be consecrated to Our Lady and take her by the hand,..that is the surest way...
