I've been fighting a fight (metaphorically- no arguing going on, just quiet discussion) with my son who is in love with a game called Wizard 101- sort of a Dungeons and Drangons for 8 year olds. its a surprisingly wicked game- though I'm not sure why I'm surprised. I'm trying to do the same thing with my son as I did with my daughter and her Harry Potter obsession- convince him to be the one to make the choice to not play- Please pray for him. I could just put my foot down, but there will always be something challenging his faith and I won't always be aware of what that is. If going to places like Green Bay will help, I think we need to do these things. What a blessing that it is so close since going to Europe is out of my reach right now.

You know what? Remember the sign (or pointer) that I got was that a dish on my ebay page that I thought would never sell - sold to a woman who goes by "Rebecca7" (there's another 7) and lives in Green Bay - only minutes after Padraig said this above? Well, get this...NOBODY HAS PAID FOR IT YET! No message, no emails, nothing...For me, this is a first. I have had very good luck with buyers paying within a couple days of buying. It has been almost a week now. To me, this is only adding to the mystery!

I did look her up and his woman is a very good, long time ebayer though, so I am sure she will pay (if indeed she actually did buy it, hmmm....), but we leave Saturday morning for Green Bay to visit the shrine and it would be so interesting if it went unpaid until we got there.... :shock:

 

...So this morning I received this message from my ebay buyer:

"I apologize for the delay in paying. We had a family crisis this past week which has caused a financial problem. It may be a few more days before I can pay you and several other sellers as well.

I'm terribly sorry! I do still very much want this item and fully intend to follow through on the transaction. Normally, I pay very quickly."

This message came to me WHILE I WAS WRITING to her! I was writing to her to offer to hand-deliver the dish to her since I was going to be in Green Bay anyway, and it would save her the shipping charge. I hit send, and this message from her was in my inbox! Freaky huh? Well, I then decided to offer to just let her have the dish for free. It has been for sale all year, since March, and you all know the circumstances in which it sold, in short I told her I would still like to drop it off to her, and she could resell it if she likes. I said it is a long story, but I thought she was meant to have it. I have not received a reply yet, but no matter what her reply,I may just leave it on her doorstep either way. Maybe Mary wants me to meet this woman, Maybe I can give her a rosary, or tell her about our visit to the shrine...maybe this will be my sign!

I'll keep you posted on how this develops. Perhaps the miracles of this forum have broken the boundaries of this cyber space already, and are now into my eBay space!

OH, I don't know about that...it is the whole Green Bay "sign" thing that has me curious. Normally I would just tell her I will wait for her payment, but this all seems too coincidental, and now I feel like I am supposed to meet this woman. That is worth more than the few dollars she was going to pay for the dish anyway (only $4.50, I really wanted to get rid of it so I had marked it way down).

As we see every day, God is using the internet to connect people, both on and off the forums! This is not the first time I have met a fellow ebayer and religion entered into it. Actually this will be the third time! The first was a woman I bought from and I picked up the item myself...she had a big Mary statue on her front porch and other Catholic items around. We talked a bit. The second was a guy in South Bend Indiana who was a collecter of Notre Dame stuff. I bought something from him, told him it was for my husband's birthday, and HE GAVE ME something free...a little football signed by Joe Montanta to give to my husband! Well, we went to meet him and he was great! He used to teach at the university and now retired from that, he sells memorabelia. Sometimes these things simply amaze me. Little stuff like this perhaps others would not notice as connected, but these days my "radar" is up, like everyone here in the forum. Just trying to figure it all out.

 

That is so fun! I think this woman Rebecca needs you to deliver the dish if she is having a hard time paying for it at that cost.

I think at Garabandal Our Lady said that there would come a time when the hosts would fly from the tabernacles and the Churches left deserted of the Divine Presence.

When I was young I used to think that this meany that God would send His Holy Angles in miraculous fashion the doors of the Tabernacles would be opened and the Hosts would all fly off to heaven like flocks of little white doves. ..a wonderful if terrifying thought. :shock:

But now of course as we draw very close to the time of the Schism I realise that the hosts will not be removed by angels but by human demons, schismatic priests and wicked Governments. Just as Mark Mallet said in France. But what Mark did not remark was that in France there was a very strong schismatic Church that supported the French Government , rather than the Pope.

This heretical schismatic Church was set up by the French Government in 1790 by the:

Civil Constitution of the Clergy (1790). The legislative measures passed by the Constituent Assembly during the French Revolution to reorganize the Church in France. Salaries of the clergy were to be paid by the State, bishops and curés were to be elected by the more prosperous local citizens, and the Papal power of confirming nominations to the episcopate was transferred to the metropolitans. On 27 Nov. 1790 the Assembly imposed an oath to the Civil Constitution on all priests wishing to retain ecclesiastical office. About half the parish clergy accepted it.

Note HALF the CLergy accepted it were excommunicated by Rome.

This is what the saintly Father Solanus Casey of Michican warned American Catholics about decades ago.

This rebellious schism will not only occur in the USA of course but the USA will be a centre for it. It will also sadly occur in Ireland, though I believe its greatest real success will be in the Europe...itself.

If anyone doubts this they have only to look at the papers today and the APPALLING decision of Cardinal O'Malley of Boston to meet with the dreadful coterie of priests known as , 'The Catholic Priests Association'.

Going to the Irish Priests Association os a bit like going to the devil for confession, or a Doctor shaking hands with a leper to cure leprosy they are deeply infected with disobedience and heresy. Dreadful. What is he thinking?

On this subject I will relate something I saw prayerfully while at Mass in Clonard Monastery last week:

I saw a figure in white walking towards me down a long ,dark corridor. His head was shrouded in what looked like a grey cloud or mist and I did not recognise him at first because his face was so white and twisted up with worry. But the great china urns of potted plants on the window ledges gave me the clue that I was looking back at Rome in the early 19th century and as he got closer I recognised the face of Pope St Pius Xth.

Many of the priests and theologians who teach these things are formal heretics and are automatically excommunicated.

We are in the midst of the greatest storm that the Church has ever had to face - the storm of secularism and modernism that threatens to sink the bark of Peter. We must follow the Peter. I wonder if St Benedict is the Pontiff in the dream of Don Bosco that leads the Church through the storm between the pillars of the Eucharist and Our Lady?

Prepare to stand alone in our families and in our parishes following the Peter.

Thank God for this forum for the fellowship of support and direction. We have been left like orphans for our pastors and teachers have either been silent or treacherous and are on the road to perdition. Thank God too for our Holy Popes who have had the courage to lead us in these end of times!

Well Connie I must be honest with you and say I am very troubled at saying anything critcal of our clergy.

I am Irish and was brought up with a really HUGE respect for the clergy. I have to say I am still like this and when I meet a priest even one whom I know to be bad I jsut feel AWE. Its really incredible to think of the position they have been given as 'Alter Chirstus' other Christs.

Nor do I forget the words of Our Lady who warned us not to attack priests reminding us that they are, 'The apple of of God's eye', which in deed they are, Mary's favourite sons!!

But things have got just so bad, that there is a real danger that the wolves that have gotten into the sheepfold..and they are real honest to goodness Satanic wolves, posing as shepherds that I a poor lay person just have to shout a warning.

May God forgive me if I do wrong in this, but I feel prayerfully drawn to do so.

St Catherine of Siena cheers me up so much in this, she wasn't the least bit afraid to shout and holler!!

You are right Padraig; the ACP is nothing other than a forum for dissident liberal priests to
voice their oppositions to Church teaching and to Rome. They will either be sanctioned at
some point (if they keep on going the way they do) or they will fall away as times get
more difficult. After all, the branch that has begun to wither will soon fall away.

 

It is maybe our own fault too ,Shane for not praying more for our Bishops and priests as Our Lady requested. I must pray more for them.

I admit I am amazed when I hear some priests talking on the radio and TV and religious magazines at what they are getting away with. I think maybe the Bishops have lost their nerve.

One of the icons shows politicians yelling at each other in disagreement over something, before the breakup of the US. The images on the link below show how people reacted over the recent vote over addressing the state of WI budget crisis. Upon seeing the links, I immediately thought of the icon of people yelling at each other in disagreement and anger. We were wondering what would drive Americans to be so angry at each other...it's nothing new...it's mainly over power and money.

It's hard for an outsider to understand ( non-American) to understand exactly what is going on in Wisconsin. I take it from from what I have heard and read and watched it is a matter of a new legislature wishing to withdraw Union Rights and benefits. This is not a political forum but a spiritual one and I want to put those issues to one side.

But I was troubled in watching Michael Voris's video blog on the subject:

I usually like Michael Voris and agree with much of what he says. But Our Lady asked us to read the Sings of the Times. I really think here that there is a Spiritual War going on in the Heavens and that that war is between good and evil, heaven and hell. That the forces of hell simply want to destroy the world and all on the face of the planet. Put sImply they want to kill us all, to cause war, strife disunion war, civl unrest and civil war. The devil, the Old Dragon, as Scripture warns has fallen to Earth in great Wrath for he knows he has but a short time left. The time of the Triumph of Mary draws near and Stan intends to pull the whole store round our heads before this day dawns.

I bel;ieve part of this plan is through a relatively very small group of highly placed individuals who ,for instance , brought the Economic Crisis down on our heads in the first place. This in a whole list of hoped for aims that includes the break up of the United States which might, if it were to remain United, stand in their way.

So in some sense people on both sides of the debate in places like Wisconsin, Libya, Egypt and otehr places need to be prayerfully have discernment in that they may very well be used by very, every evil people working in harness with Satan. Satanists in fact.

I think Michael Voris is decieved in this and has allowed to be drawn into a kind of Religio/political debate rather than a Spiritual one.

The base line trouble in Wisconsin and so many other places are that people are simply not praying enough. So the tolerance and openess to each other, the forgiveness, the understanding, the ability to compromise and engage in true debate, to concede points and find a middle ground are being lost.

Or..to put it another way, Satan is stirring the pot and folks are getting angrier and angrier. If it continues it will lead to permanent disunion and open hostility..acts of violence.

We saw the ame thing in this part of Ireland for thirty years, instigated also ,I believe, by Satan.
We Irish Catholics, inspired by Dr Martin Luther King rose up and asked for basic CIvil RIghts, such as the right to vote, to and end of discrimination in jobs and housing...and eventually an end to British Rule. It is easy to take up the gun, it is not so easy to put it down..and the time of the taking up of the gun in the USA is only a hair's breath away.

At the time I was young and saw things in very simple terms. We were right and the toher side was wrong and evil. But this was to fai lto see the Spiritual depths of what was happening. That the devil was stirring the pot. That there was good and bad on both sides and that in order to find Peace we had to compromise, negotiate , listen to each others views with respect and so find some kind of middle ground.

So I think people like Michael Voris is missing the SPiritual/ Mystical insight in what is going on here. That there is a war in the heavens.

I do not believe that the breakup of the Union HAS to happen. When Our Lady is sent from heaven she always offers us options based on our own decisions. If you pray this, this and this will happen. If you fail to pray this, this and this will happen. And she has also said that we have forgotten that fasting has the POWER TO STOP WARS. The Icons are simply an indicator of one road, a dreadful road we can all turn our backs on.


I think Michael has lost spiritual insight in all this. The casues of this conflict are spiritual and the resolution will be spiritual. I suspect he is pouring oils of fire on things rather than the Oils of Peace, the Waters of the Holy Spirit.

In Ireland we had a Peace Process that brough us Peace after 30 years of killing. This came about by prayer and the direct intervention of the Mother Of God.

Wisconsin and so many places needs this now.

We need to pray, pray pray and fast, not add oil to the flames by backing one side or another in the name of religion.

The Future of the United Sates..if it is indeed to remain United and the future of the whole world depends on this, for I believe if the United States falls into disunity, for the rest of us, the light of hope in the world will fade considerably.

I think it's no coincidence that on Dec. 8th, 2010 the first Marian Apparition was acknowledged in Wisconsin , in Our Lady of Good Help.

 

Despite the numerous conversions of grace from Medjugorje and the intercession of the saints on earth the signs are not good - I really believe we are past the point of no return as the world has become so sinful and edging rapidly towards tribulation and judgement.

I fear the judgement of God.
