Yes its true PS..as Jesus said, 'For men it is impossible but for God ALL things are possible.

I had a lovely email one time from a friend Shimon an Orthodox Jew living in Jerusalem. He said, describing Christians that one thing he liked about us was that we forgave. He said that forgiveness was just not a concept in his faith.

    That touched me.

I too have been frustrated by the tone of the media and politicians after the deaths in Arizona. The first thing we need to do is pray for the poor boy who is plagued by both mental illness and Satan in his dillusions, then of course pray for those who passed and who are fighting for their lives.
Breaks my heart to see such suffering and confusion in our country, but we know what to do. Pray, pray, pray and stick together.
I feel supported when I come here too. Its an important place to come to sort this stuff out since I know I'll get good solid opinions here.
I am a better person for reading this forum and meeting all of you.
    Pray pray pray...

    Potatosack,
I am sorry if I misunderstood the goal of your post, but you did say some pretty strong political things. It is not just your comments, but comments being made all over the country that are just getting to be too much for me,I guess.

I had a longer post written, but then I decided I am only contributing to what I am so opposed to, so I deleted it all. I am very sad that Americans are not united anymore, that's all. And I do not want to be part of the problem, but frankly, I have no idea how to be a part of the solution either, other than what Kathleen said...Pray, Pray, Pray.

Unfortunately, it appears that these things are going to come to pass no matter what we do or say. They are prophesied, and we can alter some of it by prayer, but not all of it, as our Lady tells us. Padriag, I do wish everyone in the USA could read your post about forgiveness, maybe that would be a start!

All of the problems in the USA <and the world> reside within the human heart:

Change the heart, change America. Prayer changes hearts so let us pray, pray, pray.

That was very kind and thoughtful of you, Kathleen to think of the guy who done the shooting first to pray for. You have a kind heart, I was touched by that. :)

Developed from years of God beating it into me. LOL
I used to be so afraid of paranoid delusional clients- then I started working with them and they broke my heart and of course my fearful judgement of them. My heart aches for them now, they are so pitiful and so tortured. They don't have a change against the devil- they are his playthings. Pray for them. I'm so thankful that God has a special place for them in Heaven, but oh, they suffer so on earth.

I used to be political- now I'm simply a Catholic. :) Its a much better place to be. Kath

    Hi everyone,
I've edited my last post so that is more appropriate for this forum. Sorry it it offended anyone, but the reaction of some politicians was pretty upsetting for me and I think it may be a prelude of things to come. But there is nothing I can personally do about it except pray...so that's what I'll do!

I love you too, Potatosack. I'm sorry I was so reactionary. Going through some tribulations of my own here at home lately and I think it is making me shorter fused than usual. My job has gone very downhill and I need to find a new one yesterday, and it is taking a toll on my family harmony at the moment. This forum is a source of peace for me, a little sanctuary without leaving my living room. I thank God and Mary for all of you and for bringing us together in this way. Spammers, be gone! Unless you want to actually join us legitimately! :)

I THINK I JUST GOT IT!!! (well, maybe this is it, it is kindof cool).
A little dish I have had for sale on ebay since BEFORE I went to Medjugorje in March, just sold! It was one of the first items I ever posted, and it was still out there. I took it off for a few months, then put it back on. I was actually thinking of pulling it off again soon. Anyway, As I was beginning to shut down for the evening, it jumped out at me from my ebay page - when I thought all hope for selling anything else this evening was over. BUT THAT WAS NOT THE SIGN, it was just the pointer:

HERE IS THE SIGN - It was purchased by a woman in......GREEN BAY WISCONSIN! So, Padraig, what do you think it means?

Padraig - Thanks very much for your prayers to our mother for me...and a sign too...hope I get one...it would be a tremendous pick-me-up.

I think I'm wound up a bit tighter than some on the division in the US because I noticed it in 2004 when same-sex marriage became legal. It became legal, and because I could not vote on it, I felt like my rights had been taken away in a sense. It is also when I realized that I"m a real minority since my family and friends (all great, loving people loved by God) all thought it was a very good thing. Feeling that divide and being the minority or even alone on the issue can make me queasy (espcially when I have to defend it, and being the only one to defend it), and those feelings really re-surfaced in the aftermath of the AZ shootings. I do get tired of defending myself and sometimes my faith to those I love and respect, but unfortunately have fallen away from the faith. But I figure one of my crosses in this life is being a believer amongst many who are asleep so that I can help when the Medj secrets start. This forum certainly helps me to strengthen my faith and not feel so alone...so thanks to all who participate in this forum. :D

Very simple yet profound message Padraig!

So now I know I/we need to get to Green Bay Asap...to Our Lady of Good Help.
Seems the "effects" of Medjugorje have worn off some, I have been thinking, especially where our family harmony is concerned.
We go to Green Bay several times a year for other reasons, and have NEVER visited this place. I didn't know about it until relatively recently, but we should have known.

Perhaps we can go next weekend, weather permitting. It might be good to go before we visit my husband's son and our other new grandbaby (Genevieve) in California, which we are going to do the last weekend of January.

I don't know if this was the sign or not Padraig, but it happened so fast, only maybe 30 seconds after I read your post to me to watch for the sign, and it hit me like other signs have - like a brick. I have been asking God to please tell me what to do next...hoping for a direction for my job issue, not thinking at all about something like this. Well, this gives me something to do next, and it won't cost thousands of dollars either!

Perhaps another sign will happen when we get there.

For those out there who do not know what just happened in Green Bay, an apparition site was just approved there on December 8. It is the first officially approved site in the US (and it is 3 1/2 hours from my home!). Here is an article on it below. Padraig posted one back in December too, which is why when I saw "Green Bay, WI" last night, it came together for me in my head.

Maybe thats what I need to do also- instead of worrying about Caritas, maybe I should focus on going to Green Bay?
I love Green Bay! I grew up in Wisconsin and it's always been a favorite (not just for their football team!)
I think I'll focus on that for a summer family trip.

    Green Bay or bust!

We are going to the Our Lady of Good Help Shrine next saturday...I am really looking forward to it, I think we really need it right now. My husband did not hesitate to agree. I'll let everyone know how it is. There is also a DVD available at their gift shop with the story so I am sure we will bring that home too. It is actually just a little northeast of the city of Green Bay, on a 5 acre spread off of hwy 57, on the way to Door County (but it is still in the Green Bay Township). Well, where it is means for us we have driven past it at least 6-8 times on the way to Door County! I am wondering if Mary has been calling us there all along? We go to the area a lot, and we drive up into the Door County penninsula for a day of exploring probably every other time we have gone...we drive around and stop here and there, but we have never ventured off the main road anywhere south of Sturgeon Bay. The shrine is south of Sturgeon Bay, so we have always driven right past it, not knowing it was there! I don't know, it just makes me feel strange when I think about it. Why did we not know about it until this fall? All the research and internet surfing I do and I did not know. Amazing. :(
