I took a notion and sent of a copy of the Icons to, Michael Brown on, 'Spirit Daily'.

I am unsure if it was a good idea or not. But people can pray over them and discern for themselves, if they are posted.............I will not loose sleep over it either way; in the hands of Mary.

Still if anyone reading this has time, please say a little prayer they are posted, I believe they may do some good ............

    Padraig,
I think that was a good idea. We think about these things all the time and it is preparing us even though I feel scared at times. Yesterday my son and I were discussing the economy and I told him I believed we were living out Revelation where we wont be able to buy or sell without the mark as we will have a cashless society. The best way to bring this in is to collapse the world currencies. He found it hard to take on this idea. It would help if people had the sign of the times held up to them more as mentally it will prepare them when the worst hits.
I will say a prayer about this.

    Mary

You know Mary, I was praying about this and something occurred to me that I hadn't thought of before.

We know of course that there has been resistance, really a very great deal of resistance to Marian apparitions and Catholic Prophesy and really anything to do with the Mystical especially , ironically within the Church itself. In fact people like New Agers appear to be more open to it than our own clergy, often.

But it seems to me that there could be very considerably resistance to the idea of these Icons especially in the USA. I had not thought of this before but the idea that, say the Union would end would horrify a lot of people very considerably; also the idea that a future Federal Government could be hostile to religion and that there could be a technological break down......well I suppose such ideas could be seen by some as unpatriotic or even anti- American.

I had never thought of this before; but , you know I think it could well be so, especially as I am not an American myself.

Maybe this is not true but its justa thing crossed my mind. Another thing I notice lately. We are moving out of the period when events only existied in the form of Prophesy. The events, such as global economic melt down are actually entrain and we can see that the technology for a cashless society all round us. Yet people are in fierce denial. They just don't want to believe, it is simply too frightening. The Holy Spirit leads us to be open to the truth. But sometimes people just can't face the truth.

Padraig, I think the people who read Michael Brown's Spirit Daily have already started to see the cracks in the foundation. While it might not be something they want to embrace, certainly it's recognizable, understandable. Prayers will cover this.

    Padraig -
You mentioned "spiritual puzzle" in Norman's thread when speaking of Catholic prophecies, well as an American, I can't help but think of the icons as another puzzle to figure out. With this in mind, on the third icon, you state:

I see a very special man...i t seems to me a country man....I see him clearly......he leads a very large part out of the halls........many will call it Rebellion.... but he leads them away........the Union is Divided.....brother against brother,, town against town, State against State.

Would you recognize this special man if you saw his picture again? I can't help but wonder who this man is, and if he has emerged today in public. Not sure if he is a politician or not, but it's usually politicians who are in our government halls.

I don't know if I would recognise him again or not, PC. But he was a great orator and leader. Howeever he was not the sole leader ,there was a group of six or seven others close around him and I think they represented different areas and interest groups from around the country supporting each other. One thing I noticed was the great rage shown by everyone in the room towards each otehr tehy were screaming at the top of their voices at each other and everyone had stopped listening to waht everyone else was saying. But it was this gentleman and his colleagues who led the walk out, which , I suppose was prearranged.

Well, the US elections were earlier this week, and results were as expected. Bottom line is this administration has lost some power and ability to pass legislation to support their agenda which the majority of Americans seem to be against. Newly voted in leaders will be trying to stop Obama legislation and even trying to un-do some of what he has done (repealing healthcare, etc.). My point in posting this is I believe the environment has now been created for our politicians to now really butt heads over the direction this country will go and I believe they will be screaming at each other as Padraig saw in the icon, as Obama seems intent on not changing the direction he is taking the country and newly elected leaders believe they were voted in to change the dirction Obama is taking this country.

I came across this incredible news article from Russia Today on a political scientist who predicted ten years ago that 'America would split into six parts' by 2010. Very interesting and backs Padraig's icons, which appear to be 'right on the money'!

The shootings in Arizona have revealed the fractious nature of American politics and the culture of blame -

    http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/arizona-sheriff-blasts-rush-limbaugh-spewing-irresponsible-vitriol/story?id=12583285

The fault-lines in US politics are being set at present and preparing the way for eventual dissolution of the Union - others outide of America have noticed the growing political instability since Obama came into power. There is a growing divide between liberals and conservatives and the economic collapse that is coming will further add to the divide. Things are happening much more rapidly than we could ever have imagined even a few years ago. Padraig's icons are taking on new significance as each day passes!!

I have to hold my hand up and admit Bobby I had the most severe misgivings about posting the icons, both before and after, especially as they seemed so incredible. In addition I had misgvings in that I am not American and it seems more logical to have a native posting about such things. But I spent time in prayer about them and sll I can say is I had confirmation.

Of course if over the course of time they prove false I will post profuse apologies and dissappear into the sunset with a very red face, no more to be seen.

But as I say I prayerfully believe them to be true. Time will tell.

As Michael Brown is ever fond of saying on , 'S :) pirit Daily', 'Execrise your discernment', if anyone disagrees please feel perfectly free to write so, it will not faze me in the least.

The tragic AZ shootings has really shown the spotlight on how divided the US is right now. Politicians on both sides of the aisle are using the opportunity to blame the other side. We will see if this incident leads to any infringement on free speech, which could be a factor in the start of a civil war.

Let's hope for the country's sake, the political rhetoric in general is toned down and we take a good look at how we identify and treat people with mental illness, so that they do not become a danger to themselves or anyone else.

You know, I am so grateful to Padraig, for sharing his Icons with us on this thread. I love this forum, because it is a warm, loving place to be and a refuge sometimes, even, from all the pettiness going on in our world today. It is a place where everyone can chat together with love and prayerfulness......except when it gets too political and begins to actually sound a little like one of those talk shows, or one of those so-called "news" shows. I know we all talk about world events every day here, but "right", and "left" (up and down, this way and that way...whatever) is not where I want to be when I am here. I try not to talk politics, because I am so sad at how it has divided this nation. The issues are fine to debate, but why must we live and judge with all these labels? I happen to be left-handed, and though this is really silly, leftys grow up feeling a little discriminated against in the world...and this right-left thing kind-of bugs me in a similar way. In the eyes of those who call themselves "right", being "left" is some sort of bad thing. "Wrong" is not a synonym for "Left", just as "Pro-Abortion" is not a synonym for Democrat! My favorite democrat is our mayor, who is a devout Catholic, and an old friend who went through 12 years of Catholic schools with me. At one time, Democrat and Catholic were part of the same sentence for most Americans, when the country was being run by a democrat president by the name of John Kennedy. Ok, I have gone way too far, I am sooo done with this. I've said my piece, and that is all I have to say about that. I Love everyone on this forum, and so does Mary, and she also loves "leftys' of every type, and all the democrats too!

    Connie,

I live in a city, Belfast that is strictly segregated on political/religious lines. Its been like this as a child. I forget how many times I have been beaten up and people tried to kill me for being a Catholic. Eventually I became full of hate and anger myself and it was only meeting Our Lady that gave me the grace to forgive and start again.

But ,really the older I get the more I think things really happen for a reason. I started working in a hospital four years ago and for the very first time I am working at really close quarters with my Protestant sisters and brothers whos politics are so radically different from my own. It been such a healing experience for me. Their kindness and generosity towards me; someone from , 'the other side' has been overwhleming.

But, I guess what I am trying to say is, I NEEDED this experience to heal wounds going right back to my childhood, to be able to say truly that there is no, 'Them' and, 'Us', there is only, 'Us' .

I think it reminds me that forgiveness is a whole life long experinece, not a once only but on and on and on and on. I think forgiveness begins with ourselves, we have to forgive ourself first and others every day. Its like the waves coming in from the sea, they go on and on, so too must forgiveness, even for the smallest things, not just forgiveness in actions but forgiveness in thoughts too. Everytime I say the, 'Our father' and Is ay , 'Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who tresspass against me', I pause and wonder to myself and challennge myself by asking the question, 'Yes but do you REALLY, forgive? Do you REALLY mean it?'

But I think the things that challenge us most become our greatest strengths and that there's a great, a very great mystery to this.....
So as far as America and the whole world goes my experience is this..that which challenges is that which makes us strong....and if we can forgive us other we become very, very strong indeed, both as individuals and as Nations.

    Hi MomsCalling,
Wow, I hope I did not offend you with my post. The intent of my post was to describe my take on the situation and how it might relate to the icons...meaning the start of a civil war. I also wanted to describe that angle for members who live in Europe, as I would be very interested to hear how this tragedy is being positioned elsewhere. I guess my post could be described as political, but it was all in the context of the icons and what could start a civil war.

I hope you didn't think I was labeling people as right or wrong or abortion or pro-choice based on whether they tended to be liberal/left or conservative/right. That is certainly not the way I think, and maybe I should have stated that at the beginning of my post, but I didn't feel the need. I atually don't think of right/left as you have described above, so it never occurred to me it would be interpreted that way. If that were the case, my entire family and circle of friends would be labeled as wrong or bad, and I've never felt that to be true. But I'm sorry if you interpreted it that way.

I like your post on foregiveness Padraig. Once in confession I told the priest I was having a very hard time forgiving someone, and it wasn't in my heart to forgive them. His anwer was that Jesus will forgive you as you have forgiven others. Ever since then, I've made it a point to forgive others, because I am in such need of forgiveness myself. When I am not ready to forgive, I pray a simple daily Our Father to Jesus to help soften my heart to make me ready to forgive...when I feel ready, the prayer is to help me forgive...until I feel in my heart I have forgiven. It works when I put it in the hands of Jesus!
