In fairness, Mario, Mac and Brian were a minority of two for quite a while. There's nothing wrong with giving the hierarchy the benefit of any doubt. In fact, that's what we're obliged to do, and not just for the hierarchy. There's no excuse for Bishops who should have spoken out but remained silent, and continue to remain silent. I've stepped up my prayers for them. I wish I had the strength of character to fast as well.

Minor correction Praetorian, that is Still River Massachusetts
I know them well. A very traditional loving community.
The school they run turns out some well rounded Catholic youth.
Their website even has videos of these kids who defend life and are not afraid to speak

Thanks for the correction Sunburst! I'll change it now just in case anyone is confused.
Sometimes my mind is mush
I was writing from memory as I have been there a few times. Guess I should have double-checked.

I do this all the time. I used to figure for every new bit of information that comes into my brain another piece drops out. "Too much data not enough thumb drive"

Okay so here is what I was concerned about. The Remnant just ran a story today about the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart in New Hampshire being put under interdict. Again I have no problem with the diocese trying to bring everyone into line with Catholic Teaching if indeed they did something wrong. My BIG problem is that in the same diocese Fr. Martin was invited to speak at the Catholic College of St. Anselm. Where was the diocese when this travesty was happening?

    Here is the article:

They are endorsing this behavior and the teaching of men like him by their silence and the implication is that we all ought to remain silent if we don't agree too. Plain and simple. Anyone who does not endorse it as well by their cooperative silence on it or by instead speaking out on the truth of the long held teachings of the Church will be formally silenced or censured and possibly eventually worse.
Any Catholic who was wondering where they could find sound uncompromising Catholic teaching in that area now has their answer. On the flip side, the Diocese and the Bishop have identified where they fall rather clearly as well I would say .
I recently listened to a homily that said the same thing that the Saint Benedict Center is being censored over. Praise be to God that there are men and women who love God enough to proclaim the Truth rather than cow tow to the Bishops in the US who are hell bent on the corruption of it for their cause of world peace at the cost of our beliefs.
I for one welcome it and I will support these men in any way I can.

The problem I have with Still River and NH is over baptism of desire and baptism of blood. Why do they persist in not believing these. St
John Paul II believed in them so why don't they? They still need to be inline with the church over this. Why did they leave Cambridge years ago as well?

This issue is one for men and women who die in battle or in other untimely ways and circumstances. It seems to be being used however to base our ecumenicism with other faiths off of such as Saint Pope Paul II did for the first time in 2000 years in 1986 at the Synagogue of Rome.
